I'd like to think this is His long-delayed response to Vince's challenge
-
All I've got to say is this. At least DDP was eliminated on camera.

Had he never been fired (for something as stupid as he was fired for btw) he could have become a huge draw. Imagine how useful and effective he could have been for the WCW side during the NWO angle. It's almost sad if you think about the great matches he had with Austin and Rude, and the hot angle he had going with Fuller and his stable of guys (until Hulkamania ran afoot that is), and then just a few years later seeing him do the gay heel act to Ahmed Johnson and The Ultimate Warrior. It's a small consolation now that he's doing so well with his brother, and from what I've seen some of that old fire he had is still there.

They just added a new card to the "Old School" section, the 1/23/84 MSG show.
-
The best match of WrestleMania III was Can-Am Connection/Orton & Muraco.
-
Wouldn't they have a lot of AWA footage and maybe some MSG footage?
-
Demolition was a Vince creation so they have a better chance than anyone to get in.

I think at the time of the Confidential thing, McMahon still could have been sore about Lex going to WCW behind his back. I think Luger got into his good graces again only recently, he was invited to the last WM in Atlanta which would have been in 2011, presumably right before they hired him as a wellness counselor. I don't know if that necessarily will mean he's HOF material, as I don't think his legacy has been celebrated too much. Even on the "Legends of Wrestling" programs, the panelists had at best, a lukewarm view of his in-ring work.

In this internet age, you can't erase stuff like this. In a matter of a few minutes anyone can access to videos of Chyna getting fucked by two (or more) guys. So yeah. There's no way she's getting in, if only because of this. And quite frankly, Chyna sucked back then too. Okay, maybe the Hall of Fame is out, but in general reference to her relationship with the company, I can see how possibly time could be a healer in that situation. Then again I did just glance her Twitter and she put up a rather negative response to something Stephanie said about the wellness program. So maybe not.

As far as I'm concerned, Bruno getting in has made anything possible. It's a small one but I'd say she has a chance of getting in. Triple H did say some positive things about how she got over in his official WWE doc from a few years ago. Maybe when her porn career is long forgotten and everyone's a little older and mellower it could happen.

So, Randy's the first one to be announced. Guessing more announcements to come the closer we get to WrestleMania. Let the speculation on who else gets in begin.

Savage/Steamboat at IV could have been a good angle for the PPV audience too. They could have had backstage segments with Dibiase trying to buy Steamboat off and letting it play into the match a little, too.

I heard that Steiner dropped it so it would show Vince he could play ball if they considered signing him later on.

[1992-04-05-WWF-Wrestlemania VIII] Hulk Hogan vs Sid Justice

Even as an 8 year old supposedly intimidated by this heel, I thought it was a little goofy when he was trying to be a badass with all that shaving cream on his face. -
More likely that that time of his life is kind of a blur, which makes sense since he was so hot at the time and working pretty non-stop. I liked hearing his Florida stories, especially his time as a musician. I didn't know he studied music in college, and to hear him throw out Stanley Clarke as an influence came out of nowhere.

This. Why they stuck Randy with Dusty for basically the whole year (they had their last match in November) is a bit beyond me.

Worldwide was on our local Fox affiliate during the weekends. At first on Saturday afternoon, then towards the end they stuck it on after Mad TV.

I never get tired of that Tenta/Kitao incident. John looked pissed.

I think without Hall and Nash we wouldn't have gotten the NWO. That was a huge get for WCW to get two of Vince's top stars in a row, so they were going to make the best of it anyway they could.
