Why even put the title on Savage? I guess Nash didn't want to job to Hogan on Nitro? Poor Savage. Hogan vs jorts wearing Nash wasn't going to save this sinking ship.

This is a hot crowd for such a shitty show. So I guess Flair is still in charge. Sting beats down everyone including Arn. I guess Torrie dumped Nash after he lost the title.

Holy Jesus Bischoff, SHUT THE FUCK UP ALREADY!!!! DIdn't Flair lose his control of WCW when Piper stripped him of power? Did WCW even remember that? Why is born again christian Sting making Viagra jokes? This was a sad segment feature two of the all time greats.. and Sting.

Why is Hogan still wearing NWO gear? Savage looks like he's gonna explode just by talking to Mean Gene. He just jabbers on nonsense. I have no idea why they made him a champion again really.

I can see why Austin would think Jarrett wasn't' over enough. Take Debra away from him and he has as much heat as Midieon. Plus a Jarrett feud with Austin is a real step down for Austin. This was pretty funny though. Jarrett takes the Stunner great.

Austin gets insane heat even before he talks. Austin vs Taker again which has been done to death. Seems weird for Kane's music to play. Also they are in Louisville and I can't believe OVW ran this building for years.

Probably the best thing Barry Windham ever did. In reality, I loved this video. The song is catchy as hell.

Taz, always the man to bring up his history with Bam Bam Bigelow. It's still amazes me that he was the babyface champion in 99. He was and still is a natural heel.

So I guess Shane Douglas is finally gone around this time? I remember this very well and I remember being pissed about Dawn Marie stalling. The men attacking women quota is very high in July 1999.

I don't think Danny B ever got the upperhand on the heels much. Loss is right that this is pretty tasteless. Even for wrestling.

It's David Jett not Michael St. John. Bill Dundee sticks out in KAW like a sore thumb. This was the promotion that was all about new school and screw the old Memphis guard yet they bring in Dundee. Bill's line about Owen is short but stings a lot.

Cornette has moved from Connecticut to Louisville. This all sounds nice but it feels like latter day SMW where they were depending on WWF guys to prop up the big Louisville Gardens shows.

So I guess this was the tease of Lawler leaving that was soon to come. It's amazing how much Hales let Lawler plug when he wasn't even a part of the managing company.

Well tonight's FIP/Evolve show was a tale of two shows. The FIP show was just awful. Bad wrestling and a dead crowd. The show drew about 75-100 people I would say. The highlight of the FIP show was Trina Michaels and her doing HLA and Swann winning the title back from Roderick Strong. The Showcase match was dissapointing cause it was just a way to get MSL on the card as one of his dudes came in and won the match they weren't even in. Nick Richards was pretty good though.Royal did a nice fat man dive. Evolve started off ok with a decent women's match between Andrea and Santana Garrett. Ethan Page's match was there and I really enjoyed Rey Horus/Andrew Everett. Horus will probably be in WWE sooner rather than later. Then the internet went out. According to one of the workers, the owners of the building turned off the internet and Evolve had to try and get it turned back on. This lead to an hour+ intermission that damn near killed the crowd. Some people left and some were asking for refunds. I thought for sure the show was gonna get canceled but it didn't. The show got started and then St. Timothy Thatcher showed up vs TJP. Such a great MOTYC. Thatcher was great but TJP held his own. That match saved the show and the other matches that followed it were good to really good. I enjoyed the main event live but it probably wasn't as good on IPPV. Rich Swann is one of my favorite guys and all 4 guys took a beating in the main. Overall a good show but FIP really needs to cut the fat. Especially the shitty Chaysen Rance students.

Good cage match that its weird to see on tv. Chyna does her best Sherri Martel impersonation. HHH has fully embraced his Game persona. Rock takes a hellacious chair shot to the head.

Oh man this is around the time where Droz and Albert lost a match where they had to become Godfather's hos. Oh Russo. Bradshaw took a hell of a shot with that cane. I remember loving this at the time cause I was a Hardyz fan.

Michael Cole has never looked so good. Rock is pretty much all catchphrases now which is good.

I can't beilieve they are doing fake sting in 1999 and the announcers have to actually play it up like it's the real Sting. Real Sting shows up and a fan runs in while other fans are throwing shit in the ring. Then Nash tells Savage where George is which leads to the infamous botchamania "Send In the Man" intro. It's so stupid that Torrie can't even keep a straight face when Savage slaps her. Just putrid.

Meng and Goldberg are wrestling but stop mid match to eat pizza. Classic.

I liked how La Parka kept asking Doug Dillenger if he spoke spanish and Doug just kept talking to the guys in English. Who was the Cheetah Kid cause I know that wasn't Rocco Rock?
