  1. It's weird to have him do this in Atlanta and not Canada. I felt so bad for Bret here cause you know it was tough. Nice to not hear the announcers blabber on when Bret was talking.
  2. Lenny's not worried since Lodi knows all his measurements. Ba Zing!!!
  3. Buff says this is Buff country and the crowd is tepid to say the least. This show is taking place in the Georgia dome and it's crazy how much they killed the town after the fingerpoke of doom. Huge crowd but no one gives a shit.
  4. The Nash cut in is so awkward as you can tell it's pretaped but Savage plays it like it's live. Savage is one of my favorite wrestlers ever but this hurts his legacy. Awful segment for a awful feud/
  5. Bas Rutten commentary YES. This started out good but once Ogawa took over, it got boring. Finish was nice though. Why isn't Hashimoto with Ogawa? As for if this is a work or shoot: I'm gonna say work. I mean why wouldn't the ref stop it when the guys kept putting feet on the ropes? If they did that in the octagon, Big john would stand them up.
  6. So when did Takayama actually get good? This wasn't awful or anything but he was easily the 4th best person in this match. Weird to see Kobashi in a match with none of the other 3 pillars or the foreigners.
  7. I think this was the debut of the new look Taijiri on the set.\? Decent house show match with crowd pleasing spots. Loved Big sal getting involved and putting Super crazy through the table. Fun match.
  8. I have no idea what to say about this. Savage almost redeems it by cussing up a storm and being Randy Savage. This is really pathetic though. Why do they need two hummers? Why did no one help Nash? How fucking stupid is SID? Why is this on national TV? How many luchadors did the cut to film this? It's really telling of WCW that this isn't even the worst segment of the year.
  9. I'm just wondering if the same people that have a problem with intergender wrestling have a problem with a guy like Cesaro taking bumps from Hornswoggle or Torito? I'm not the biggest fan of intergender wrestling but it doesn't bother me.
  10. I'm sure I've seen this before but I don't remember it. This wasn't very good but the crowd is just so molten hot. Paul Bearer looks like he's at his fattest here and Taker takes a crappy stunner in the finish.
  11. I don't know. I think I would have rather done the beaver gimmick than wrestle in underwear with a big smiley face on the crotch. Of course his next gimmick was a shiek gimmick with D-Lo brown.
  12. This was pretty bad. Too many people at ringside and it was distracting. Nash takes George and Torrie who seems to like it and puts them in the limo. Another Hummer shows up.
  13. Nash keeps saying "the strap" instead of the title. That's annoying. He also brings up Scott Hall.
  14. They are standing in front of the Michael Jordan statue. Naitch keeps saying "be like me".
  15. Should have been revealed as Stephanie that lifted the briefcase. Stunning lack of heat for the finish of this.
  16. KING ASS. The best thing about this is the promo Edge cut a couple years later about this.
  17. Sasaki looks gigantic. Were Goto and Ohara still in the NWO at the time? Goto reminds me of Yano of today. Seems like a OK match based on what's shown.
  18. I think this was taped before Wolfie debuted on Power pro. I thought for sure they were gonna throw him over the bridge. Nice shot at Bill Dundee by Terry Golden.
  19. Is this Peggy's first appearance on Memphis TV? Not a bad segment since it further's the storyline. Some of the Randy says is funny given what happened a couple months later. That security guard took a sick chair shot at the end.
  20. Vince seems kinda nervous which is weird compared to how he is on Raw. Good interview and the Ted Turner digs are great.
  21. Does Du-rag wearing ECW champion Vince fit under Mr. Mcmachon or elder statesman. I went with Mr. McMahon cause he was amazing. Watching the old TNT's on the network. I'm fond of Johnny Carson Vince too.
  22. Nice to see Tenay keep the continuity about the LWO demise. Another good WCW tv match. Eddy seemed to be motivated by the cheers and Psicosis was a good foil for him. That frogplash looked painful.
  23. Now this is the style of shoot style I like. Both guys just bring it all match with no down time. Crowd goes nuts for everything. I liked the slap at the beginning cause you can tell these two don't like each other. Probably the best non Volk Han match I've seen on these yearbooks.
  24. The indie wars of Orlando is heating up in about 8 days. Evolve/FIP is running a 2 show card and local indie Vintage Wrestling is running a show about 10 miles away at the same time. The Vintage card is a anniversary show with a bunch of no name local talent and the return of "Black Nature Boy" Scoot Andrews and Mr. 450 Jesus de Leon or whatever he's calling himself these days. The FIP/ Evolve cards are Evolve DGUSA Open The United Gate Title Street Fight Caleb Konley & Anthony Nese with So Cal Val defend vs. Johnny Gargano & Rich Swann Top Contenders Collide Roderick Strong vs. Biff Busick Pro Wrestling Clinic Timothy Thatcher vs. TJ Perkins First Time Ever Davey Richards vs. Trevor Lee High Flying Challenge Andrew Everett vs. Rey Horus Special Attraction Match Ethan Page vs. Martin Stone The FIP show looks like crap except for the main, the CWF Mid Atlantic guys and the dog collar match. I expect Teddy Hart to be involved somehow. The Evolve show looks alright since Thatcher is on there and I'm looking forward to seeing Fake Rey Mysterio live.
