I'm not a big fan of the new Current WWE folder. Why not put the New Japan, ROH and Modern indie topics in with it and make it a modern wrestling folder?

Most outstanding wrestler for 1st 1/4 of the year.

My number 1 is AJ but Sasha Banks would be very high on my list. She's had about as many good matches as Brock who's my number 2. -

This is the first I'm hearing of this. What happened to those dudes? Ambrose was injured on Smackdown and Ziggler on Raw. At least that's what they said on commentary.
-
Ambrose is out injured as is Ziggler. Heyman probably won't be back for a while. I guess I'm in the minority on Neville/Rollins. Finish sucked but I thought the match was fine.

Paul Bearer is already in. I gotta think the headliner will be Taker. Maybe a double bill with Sting? I'm hoping for Great Muta or Santo.
-
I thought for sure Luger was gonna turn on Sting when he had the chair. Savage is trying hard to look like Rock but it's just not meant to be. Sting doing DX spots is just cringeworthy and hurts his HOF potential.

I don't know if you guys knew this but Eddy is back from a car crash that almost killed him. Tony didn't mention that enough. Good match with no heat. Eddie looks more jacked than ever.

Did Hennig really call Silkk "Seth"? That's what it sounds like. Gotta agree with Chad that this does nothing for me.

This was like when WWE has musical guests at Mania. Nice try but just the wrong crowd.

Honma is just way too good to be doing matches like this. The thing I liked about this match was it was a wrestling match with weapons instead of "hit opponent with weapon, blade, rinse repeat". Honma was actually doing high flying moves and both guys were doing wrestling moves. The weapons shots looked painful and I liked the teasing of the bed of nails. i don't know if I would call it great but it was a entertaining match. Plus Yamakawa comes out to Separate ways by Journey for a death match. That's just bad ass.

Balls Mahoney whacks CW Anderson in the head with a chair. Dudleys are dressed like stereotypical wrestlers. Balls looks like a goof again.

Went to the NXT show tonight in Orlando. Two things stood out. They had two women's matches( Dana/Carmella vs Bayley/Bliss and Sasha/Charlotte/Becky. I can't remember the last time they had two womens matches on a house show. Both matches were real good and had the most heat of all the matches. Main event was Sami Zayn vs Scott Dawson. Dawson won a battle royal to face Zayn in the main. He looked real good in this match and really hanged with Zayn. He should get a bigger push as a singles guy. Corbin worked as a tweener vs Tyler Breeze. It was the best I've seen out of Corbin as he got good heel heat.

Smothers wants a straight match vs Motely cruz. I've been watching a lot of this promotion lately and almost every match had weapons like ECW. This was a nice match with Smothers looking good and Cruz holding his own. Tasha Simone comes in and it turns into a brawl with guys running in. Cruz's manager Tasha started in Memphis in the early 90's. She was billed as Miss rodeo when she got attacked by Moondog Fifi back in 91ish. She was also the women's champ in 96/97 feuding with Jackie. I think she still wrestles to this day.

This whole feud fascinates me. Wolfie was one of the main heels in KAW just a few months before this. I guess he and Jamie broke up. I remember reading that Jamie was supposed to join Wolfie in Power Pro but got in a dust up with Randy Hales and bailed. This is a worked shoot angle that works. I like that JR Smooth's group is named after Undertaker's group BSK. One of the better angles in 1999 so far.

While a step down from the matches earlier on the set, this was still good. Taka is the best guy in the match but Cima's not to far behind. Liked Taka doing a springboard dive onto the stage which looked like it wasn't very far. Nice to see young Taru of Voodoo Murderers fame.

I didn't like this as much as you guys. The cheese grater stuff and the fire tables were just all played out. Everyone bleeds and then go into the crowd. Bubba and Dvon did a good job at trying to hold this together. Spike took nutty bumps like always and Balls just goes through fire like it's a regular bump. Not my cup of tea.
-
Man WCW keeps getting worse. Bischoff keeps talking, the ladies take more bumps than both Savage and Nash, Bait and switch main event. I don't know how WCW could get much worse.

Master P screwing Hootie Hoo to the sounds of crickets sums up this angle. He's accompanied by these big black guys like Swoll and 4x4 and then you have Brad Armstrong. This was bad.

Flair takes an insane Jerry Estrada type backdrop from Bagwell to set up the finish. Bischoff just won't shut up on commentary.

HOOTIE HOO. Mean Gene introducing Master P is a trip. Rey Jr tries to utter a sentence but doesn't know what to say. Bischoff comes out like your dad trying to be hip.
