Here's a sheephearders vs Invaders barb wire match from 1997. It's not the whole match but what is shown looks great: Tom is right about Pierroth's run. He had some good matches vs Colon and came to Puerto Rico with Jerry Estrada and Vilano 3.

Dylan, You should watch the Rex King/Ricky Santana vs Heart breakers match from 1992. Crazy brawl with everyone bleeding and fans throwing shit. And one of WWC's most bloody matches: California Studs( Brian Lee and Dirty White Boy) vs Invader 1 and Ricky Santana:

Don't forget his appearance at the City of Hope softball game with drunk George Jones and Garth Brooks.

Been watching a lot of Alabama wrestling from 82-87ish. Some thoughts: Babyface Adrian Street in Alabama is a total mindfuck. He and Miss Linda were feuding with Rip Rogers and Miss Brenda. Somehow, Adrian won Brenda in a valet match so he had both Linda and Brenda. Tom Prichard turns heel on him with help from Brenda. I think I like Adrian as a babyface though. Bullet Bob Armstrong was all over the place. Feuding with Mr. Olympia, El Fuego(the flame), and Midnight Express. I love the Bullet/Fuego streetfight from tv. That's gotta make the territories 80's set. Fuego throws a chair at Bullet and Bullet catches it. So then, Fuego throws A TABLE at Bullet. Bullet also faced Ric Flair for the title on TV. That was a fun match till Fuego gets involved. I also really enjoyed the Mr. Olympia vs Dirty White Boy come as you are streetfight. Hell Wendall Cooley vs Jerry Stubbs was good too.

Can you use a Land line phone for this? If so, I'm in. -

I saw Cesaro vs Big E Thursday at NXT and it was pretty amazing till the shitty finish. Cesaro deadl ifting Big E was a awesome visual. Cesaro might be the best guy in WWE today. -
Rip Rogers did commentary on one of those WWC tapes they did in English. He was hilarious. Especially on these matches: Domingo Robles vs Jay Youngblood Tiger Jackson vs Irish Leprechaun $5,000 on a pole battle royal

Dylan, If you liked Colon/Hansen, you should get into the Colon vs Sadistic Steve Strong feud. Strong was awesome in Puerto Rico. I think the feud ended in a Barb Wire match that had insane crowd heat.

Besides the ones mentioned, I liked the Lawler vs Randy Hales feud from 98 and the Lawler/ Dundee vs Cyberpunks feud from 96.

I've been watching some Alabama wrestling from 1982 and became a big fan of Bullet Bob. First, he's a heel which I think he only did twice in his career(here and in late 95 in Memphis during the SMW feud). He's teaming with the Flame vs Ron Fuller and Jimmy Golden. He's a different type of heel as he doesn't bash the fans but just tells the truth while smoking a cigar. Then later in the year, he turns babyface and has a feud with the Original Midnight Express(Randy Rose, Ron Starr, Norvell Austin and Honkytonk Man). Bob has to one of the best interviews ever in wrestling.Watching the SMW set, he basically carried the whole babyface side with his mic work. Of course, it ran it's course as it went on but that's the booking's fault. I also loved his run in the short run USA wrestling vs Mongolian Stomper and Nazi lover Ron Wright. I don't know if he's a GOAT contender but I think he ranks up there.

I loved when Hickerson came back to Memphis in 1991 as PY Chu Hi. Dave Brown sells it and says he's from the Orient. Lawler comes out and says "Dave are you blind? That's fat Phil Hickerson from Kentucky." Hickerson was awesome. Especially what I've seen of the tag team with Condrey from the Tate sets.

Harley Race vs Miguel Perez Jr WWC 1990 I had no idea Harley actually wrestled after leaving WWF in 90. This isn't bad as it basically turns into a brawl with fans throwing trash and Race slaming Perez on a table. Plus for a guy that is injured, Race takes a flair bump over the turnbuckle onto the floor.

Main Event isn't on cable, it's over the air. TNA is better now that Russo is gone but it's still kinda shitty. Mostly thanks to Aces and Eights and turning the best heel in the business babyface. Also Daniels/Kaz are below Primetime Players, Team Hell No and Thunder and Lightning on my list of best tag teams. They are better than the Briscoes though.

Ray Gonzalez and Carlito vs Thunder and Lightning Aniversario 2012 It's been a while since I've seen this but I remember it being real good. These 4 had feuded for the whole year basically. Ray and Carlito beat T&L and took the masks. Thunder and Lighting are really awesome as heels, especially since losing the masks. Ray vs Thunder from late in the year that aired on tv was one of my favorites this year. It's in DEAN's big 2012 link thread. Ray Gonzalez vs Davey Richards Aniversario 2012 Yeah I know it's a Davey match but I liked it. Not as good as Xix Xivant/Velvet Sky vs Davey/Melina but still decent. Ray really carried him. Dylan, if you like WWC cage matches, you should watch WWC's War games from 1987: Chicky Starr, Hércules Ayala, Abdullah The Butcher, Iron Sheik & Grizzly Boone vs. Carlos Colón, Bruiser Brody, Invader #1, Dutch Mantel & TNT (Savio Vega)

This is hard but I'll try: Lawler Savage Murdoch Flair Steamboat Austin Rey Eddie HBK Eric Embry I know I'm alone with the HBK mention but I just can't hate the guy. He's one of the main reasons I started watching wrestling and watching most of his peak on dvd last year, my mind hasn't changed. As for Embry, I would probably put his 89-92 run over Lawler's 89-92 and I agree with Will that Lawler is the GOAT.
-
Dylan you should watch Travis vs Hugo Savonivich from 91. I remember that being pretty fun. And some 2012 Ray Gonzelez matches so I won't be the only one voting for him in the WKO100.

So I'm watching Frontline on PBS and they are talking about Wall Street and Mortgage fraud. One of the people they are interviewing turns out to be WCW's Chris Cruise. All I can thinking about watching it is Cruise with Dusty on WCW Prime dressed as the New Year's Baby. Thanks a lot Matt D -
I can kinda see hating babyface booker Eric Embry. The Devastation Inc. feud got a little crazy once he lost the loser leaves town match and still had another match the next week cause it was in his contract. Here's some of his 91/92 work that I enjoy. If you don't like the first couple vids, you probably won't like Embry: From early 1991. Embry and Bill Dundee had a loser leaves town match and the finish had a lot of shenanigans. Eddie Marlin brings both guys into his office to talk about the match with the ref and what happened. I love crazy yelling Embry who thinks everyone is out to get him. Another Embry goes crazy angle. This time he punches Eddie Marlin right in the mouth, goes after Michael St. John and gets chased around the studio by Lawler. Here's a Studio match from November 1991, Embry, Doug Masters, The Scorpion and The Sandman(yes that sandman) vs Lawler, Tom Prichard, The Candyman Reggie B Fine and JT Smith.

Just got the AWA set so I'm looking forward to seeing Bock in the AWA. I liked his Memphis stuff but the Mid south matches were pretty bad. Especially the one with JYD. Dylan, what did you think of Bock vs Jarrett?
-
I liked Todd Grisham and the Coach on WWE Heat in the mid 2000's. They seemed to have a lot of fun and had good chemistry. In fact, both are now at ESPN doing Sportscenter. The best was Dusty in FCW tv with Byron Saxton and Matt Marrlaro who is now HHH's guy in Creative.. JR/Regal are good on NXT tv too.

After rewatching the Embry/Brickhouse Brown vs Gary Young/Iceman King parsons match from the Texas set, I figured I'd make this topic. Embry was such a underrated guy. I remember getting the Texas set and just enjoying his matches with Lawler and guys like Gary Young. Actually even before that, I got a comp of all the Embry vs Devastation Inc. feud which was great too. He was a good babyface but even a better heel in Memphis in 91/92. The feuds with Dirty White Boy, Bill Dundee and Jerry Lawler are awesome. Especially the DWB feud where he was having bloodbaths with him at the Mid South Coliseum and screwing with Dirty White Girl on tv in front of Dave Brown who looked disgusted. It's a shame his career was cut short due to a car accident. I'll have to re watch some of that footage to recommend matches for people. Thoughts?
