  1. Evan returned tonight at the NXT Arena show vs Generico. I wonder who the heel was in that match?
  2. Tim Evans

    Current WWE

He looks more like Sheamus than Daniel Bryan.
  3. I saw the Bellas vs Funkadactyls at NXT tonight and I can only hope the main match is under a minute.
  4. I wanna say Dundee and the Bullet had a match in the short lived USA championship Wrestling promotion in 88. I know they had a feud there. Didn't they also feud during the USWA/SMW feud and in JCP in 87?
  5. So we got a Jerry Lawler topic but no Bill Dundee? I've been watching the Lawler vs Dundee 3 disc set and it made me want to start this topic. When I first got the Memphis DVDVR set, The Lawler/Dundee loser leaves town match was my number one match. Now that I've seen the 1979 verson, I think I like that match even more than 83. So many great punches and I loved the finish being a simple missed elbow drop. As great as the Lawler/Dundee feud was, Bill has also had some other good ones. Like the one with Bob Armstrong in the mid 80's or the one with Wolfie D in 95-96. So what is everyone's thoughts on Bill. Does him never getting a serious run in NWA or a run at all in WWF hurt him in terms of being a GOAT?
  6. NXT and WWC for me. NXT has at least one good match every week plus Regal on commentary. Lots of in ring stuff with some talking but not as much as the other shows. Main Event is good too with one long match and 1 or 2 shorter ones with guys you won't normally see on Raw or SD.
  7. I enjoyed what I've seen of him in Alabama. As a heel vs Wendall Cooley and as a babyface vs Rip Rogers. Of course you got the Dundee matches from the Memphis set with Street. I also liked his tag team with Todd Morton. However, Miss Linda is better than Street was. She's like a minor league Sherri.
  8. Is this what you are talking about?
  9. Still want to know this dammit. Considering I was 4 years old in 89, no. And that Ron Fuller pic is gold. Is Robert wearing Zubaz?
  10. I'm watching the first 11 episodes of the Jerry Lawler Show from 1983 and I'm wondering, how many episodes exist on video? I know of some from 85 and 87. I would love to see if any exist from when he was a heel in 89/90.
  11. Why do they keep jobbing out the big guys like Knox and Doc when Anderson is right there and bland as hell?
  12. I'm looking forward to Henry/Ryback if they do it. Ryback/Jericho means another tired Jericho heel turn that no one ones to see I would hope. I also might be the only one looking forward to HHH/Lesnar.

  14. The ref was Frank Morell who was a ref for years after retiring from being a wrestler. My favorite Kamala match is this: vs Invader 1 from 1986 Puerto Rico. Nothing but chops and biting from Kamala and Invader hits a gusher.
  15. One of my favorite guys of the Memphis/Texas territory. He's a lot like Buddy Landell where he had some great moments but most of his career was affected by Drugs. His 2 plus year feud with Brian Christopher was one of the few things that was enjoyable in the final years of the Memphis territory. It's a shame he was in jail when SMW was around cause he would have been great there. Share your thoughts about the sweet music man here. I'll recommend to matches later.

  17. 1990s Jimmy Valiant. Just watch any of the matches on the 90's set. Hell, he's still wrestling to this day.
  18. Akeem and Harley Race vs JYD and B. Brian Blair WWF Italy 1988 So this showed up on the youtubes today and it's nothing much. Only 7 minutes and clipped with most of being headlocks. However, Harley enters the Arena with Akeem doing the Akeem dance. That was awesome and should be a extra on the WWF set.
  19. Chris Champion of New Breed and getting destroyed by Lawler earlier in the year fame.
  20. Watched the whole match earlier today and It was as awful as people say. I did like how the rules were that the first 15 minutes were Shane/Sabu and then Funk came in. I don't remember any other Three way Dance matches like that. After about 30 minutes, the match got awful. Sabu botching his springboard moonsalt multiple times, Joey not even knowing what was going on towards the end.
  21. Watching the 70's Memphis discs and the Dennis Condrey/Phil Hickerson/Jerry Lawler heel group might be the best ever. They faced Rocky Johnson/Tojo/Bill Dundee and the heels spend I kid you not 2 minutes taking nothing but Tojo hip tosses. Also the Jack Brisco vs Lawler match on that disc is good too.
  22. 2/9 is on Youtube.

  24. So I'm watching some dying days of Alabama wrestling in 89 and Cactus Jack Manson and Ron Starr are having a blood feud over something that happened in World Class. I remember Cactus feuding with Eric Embry in early 1989 but I thought Ron Starr was in Puerto Rico/Canada at the time. Did they ever wrestle each other in Texas?
  25. Travis was pretty much in Jail during SMW's run so that's why he wasn't brought in.
