Michael Hayes was headlining Power Pro with guys like Baldo, Lawler, Angle and I think Jim Cornette was involved too.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 3
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in Megathread archive
I don't know if he still is but the only reason they brought him back is because he was sponsored by some company. He also used to be much heavier than he is now. -
Bill Dundee vs Wolfie D in 96. Maybe that is a little too real for this topic though. Dundee tried to stab Wolfie after some show over merch payoffs and got fired. Months later, he comes back and they have a great feud. End the year teaming.

NXT does tv tapings at Full Sail University in Orlando. They still run house shows at the FCW arena.

I think going to 2-3 NXT shows a month and getting new footage keeps me interested. Plus all the new Lucha tv that is avaiable now and I'm still a big WWE fan.

[1991-01-12-WCW-Saturday Night] Paul E. Dangerously and Missy Hyatt
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in January 1991
Missy interviews Alexandra York about her computer and asks how long the computer thinks it will take to beat Paul E in the arm wrestling contest. Paul E comes out and just tears into Missy causing her to cry. He tries the same thing with York but Michael Wallstreet comes out and he ends the interview. Whoever is booking this must really not like women.- 7 replies

[1991-01-12-WCW-Saturday Night] Ric Flair vs Sting
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in January 1991
Clips from the meadowlands. Flair is bleeding of course in the match. Sting hits the ref with a splash off the ropes along with flair. They trade roll ups before finally bumping heads and Flair wins the belt with his feet on the ropes. Lame finish.- 11 replies

[1991-01-05-WCW-Saturday Night] Paul E. Dangerously and Missy Hyatt
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in January 1991
Paul E and Missy are having a match at the Clash. Earlier in the show, Paul interrupted a interview with Missy and Michael Wallstreet. At the end of the show, Missy and Paul are talking with Jim Ross. Paul E says something about Missy's attire and she slaps him. Paul E was pretty great in this role.- 8 replies

[1991-01-05-WCW-Saturday Night] Brian Pillman vs Rip Rogers
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in January 1991
A special match where falls don't count in the first 5 minutes. Of course, Pillman tries to pin Rogers a minute in.. Real good match with Rip Rogers getting a lot of offense in. Pillman hits a nice clothesline from the crowd to ringside. Were these two feuding in 90 or something?- 17 replies

[1991-01-26-USWA-Memphis TV] Jerry Lawler, Bill Dundee & Fabulous Ones
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in January 1991
I'm guessing this is about Lawler/Dundee vs Fabs from the MSC with Jarrett in Lawler/Dundee's corner? After a ref bump, Fabs attack Lawler and Cornette tries to run in but is stopped by Jarrett. Lawler then hulks up and kicks out of a pin attempt. Lawler/Dundee get Dq'd after Dundee gets Cornette's racket and hits the Fabs. Fabs get control and injure Dundee's throat with the racket. This is followed by interviews from Dundee, The Fabs backstage at the MSC and Lawler talking about the next week with Lawler/Jarrett vs Fabs. -
[1991-01-12-USWA-Memphis TV] Interview: Fabulous Ones & Jim Cornette
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in January 1991
Fabs are wearing chaps and the USWA tag title while Cornette is wearing some peach suit with a yellow jacket. They talk about facing Lawler and Dundee at the MSC and how Terry Funk put a 50k bounty on Southern Champ Jeff Jarrett.- 10 replies

[1991-01-12-USWA-Memphis TV] Jerry Lawler and Fabulous Ones
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in January 1991
Lawler comes out for a interview after a Fabs match. About 30 seconds later, Cornette hits him with the racket and the Fabs beat up Lawler. They piledrive him on the concrete before the babyfaces make the save. Cornette then cuts a great promo about getting $50,000 from Terry Funk for causing Eddie Gilbert to leave and now get $50,000 more for taking Lawler out. Cornette even takes out his big Zach Morris cell phone to call Terry. Eddie Marlin comes out and yells out Cornette and the Fabs. It's a shame Jim Cornette didn't stick around much longer ( I think he was only in for about 3 weeks before he and Stan went to Global). Oh and Stan Lane wears Jerry's crown during all this. Good angle. Even if Dave Brown kinda blew it. -
I'm watching Fall Brawl 94. Not a bad show but the whole Steamboat vs Austin thing is just brutal even for WCW. I had no idea Steamboat actually showed up to forfit the title. When did WCW know that he wasn't going to be able to wrestle? They had to have known before the day or even before Saturday night. Why did they keep plugging the match? And Duggan winning the title like that is such bullshit.

I liked Dory and Marti Funk vs Carlos Colon and Moolah from Puerto Rico. I forget what year it was though. Also some of his matches from the old BANG tv show with Adam Windsor and Samson. Doubt you could find those matches though.

Renaming the Bruiser Brody Best Brawler Award
Tim Evans replied to goodhelmet's topic in The Microscope
I'm sad that Dylan didn't include Josephus Brody. Or even Rip Morgan. Both do the Brody gimmick better than Brody. -
1. Jerry Lawler- I can never watch too much Jerry Lawler matches and angles. I agree with Will about Lawler being a GOAT candidate. I've been watching a lot of late 90's Lawler lately and the Lawler vs Randy Hales and Dutch Mantel feuds are really underrated. The Hales feud is basically a indy version of Austin vs Mcmahon with guys like Billy Travis, Rex King, Bart Gunn and Road Warrior Hawk being Randy's version of the Corporation. Looking forward to getting into 1999 Lawler seeing if there are any gems. 2. Ray Gonzalez- He's currently a top 10 guy in the world imo. His feud with Carlito has actually made me like heel Carlito. Now that he's dropped his hair, he's feuding with Savio Vega who has kinda turned back into TNT. I've also been watching some of his 90's stuff in CMLL and in the WWC vs Dutch Mantel and Carlos Colon. 3. Billy Joe Travis: I became a fan of his after watching 1992 USWA when he had a short feud with Jerry Lawler that included him getting burned and his car destroyed by Lawler and threatening to kill Lawler on live tv. I really enjoyed him in 1990 when watching the Evansville feed feuding and teaming with Bill Dundee and Jarrett. Plus I just watched his great feud with Brian Christoper in 1997 which included his legit arrest in the studio. I need to get the 1990 year book to see more of his run. Not the best wrestler but he's fun as hell to watch. 4 Cancerbero- One of my favorite guys in CMLL right now. Just a big dude who is a good base and bumps well. Not much out there of his pre Cancerbero days so it will probably take some digging. 5- Tyson Kidd - I've been going to a lot of NXT tv tapings lately and Kidd continues to have the best matches on the show. The Cesaro/Sandow vs Kidd/Gabriel match that should air next year was really fun to watch. I'm hoping he continues the streak in 2013.

I participated in the Mid South, Memphis, Texas and New japan sets. My favorite was Memphis by far. So much great extras on that set. New Japan kind wore me out so I didn't participate in All Japan. So many shitty Koshinaka matches on that New Japan set.
