I hope they filmed some segments before he changed looks so that the payoff for all this is having Elias and Ezekiel interact.

Oh shit, calling them unprofessional on air! This is gonna reach "they took their ball and went home" levels by the end of the show!

So Fightful is reporting that Sasha was upset with creative, went to Vince and neither one would budge, and then her and Naomi left the building. Them having the announcers mention that "Sasha and Naomi have left the building" seems to indicate how pissed Vince was. Also apparently Naomi was set to win the 6 pack match, so I wonder what Sasha was so mad about.

Corey's jacket looks like he took two of Michael Hayes' pimp suits and sewed them together.

Oh God, I just realized all the fan fiction that the combined power of Liv Stans and Finn Stans will come up with now.

Also I love that Edge went to his barber and gave him a picture of Rhea and said "give me that one"

Man, I wonder how all the kool-aid drinkers in the locker room who fell in line with the "AEW isn't competition we barely even pay attention to them" when that was they were told for months/years are handling seeing the Cody Counter. I mean if your boss told you constantly not to be concerned about the pissant company, and then when one of their guys jumps he gets the Poochie Push.....that's gotta make you question things, right?

Hey if it ends up giving us a 2022 Cheryl Roberts type deal that could save it.

I know WWE thinks they are making Ali out as a sympathetic character due to having to face so many obstacles, but all they are doing is making him a geek to the fans.

Dying at Miz reffing while wearing what looks like capri pants.

At this point I'm guessing WWE agreed not to hold the time Ali sat out against him in order to get him to agree to come back, it sure as hell wasn't for the brilliant creative they had for him.

Andre was also charismatic AF even if his French accented giant voice meant you could only understand half of what he was saying. He was also a pretty good worker for his size until his back gave out, and Vince Sr was smart enough to keep him as a special attraction that never stayed in one place too long. When you heard the big man was coming to your town it was an event since it wasn't something you saw every week.

Yeah, apparently he knew enough how to cosplay HItler, and that having a photo of such thing is bad (he said he was threatened with blackmail over it) , yet somehow didn't know *why* Nazis are bad until he did some research like....last month apparently? GTFOH with that.

He's playing the game brilliantly. He's worked everyone into a shoot with this "hottest free agent" gimmick, to the point he can drop lines like "that's OK, the guy in the back doesn't want to talk about it (his contract) either" in a promo that was obviously okayed and people are thinking it's proof that he is jumping to WWE as soon as he's able. Hell, there's a faction in AEW right now getting over as heels because they embrace SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT as their personal saviors, and folks still don't see what MJF is doing.

Who else has heart issues? From what I remember Steamboat had some kind of head or neck issue that caused WWE to stop using him. If this does end up being the match, it will probably be fine since everyone involved can do a basic enough match with their famous spots and no one watching will be disappointed. My concern is if the match is generally well received, Ric will get a wild hair to keep doing it.
-
Not to mention any promoter who books a 73 year old with his medical history to wrestle should be banned from ever promoting wrestling again.
-
The worst thing is you know the match is probably going to be "not as bad as you would think" since it's a 6 man and the RnRs are somehow still decent in 2022, and it's gonna make Ric want to do a comeback.

He hasn't forgot Jericho pissing in his tea.

Everything about that video was awesome

Watching now, and by far the best part has been GUNTHER chopping Drew Gulak's soul out of his body

She mentioned she would get told not to smile all the time in NXT, only to get immediately told to smile more once she got to the main roster. Developmental, everybody!
-
Seems like something wrestling fans would probably get a kick out of but anyone else wouldn't think much of.

New Japan absolutely has had ties, if not now they did in the 90s when the first row of most shows looked like a Chono cosplay convention was in town.

Tony's a big student of wrestling history, and one of the major things that doomed JCP is they backloaded everyone's deals expecting to get tons of PPV money which didn't happen when the WWF cockblocked them from most of the PPV systems. I'm sure he's aware anything can happen even though everything seems to point to AEW getting a substantial rights fee raise, and doesn't want to commit to spending money he doesn't have in hand yet.
