Conversely, one of the lessons Vince learned was to not overpay talent because the competition will fall apart and everyone will come crawling back. That's the reason Brock kept getting Brock Money because he was able to play WWE and UFC off each other to maximize his earnings. I'm thinking when AEW gets paid bigger money on their next TV deal (which all signs point to that happening unless disaster strikes), then I can see WWE considering them a competitor that isn't just going to go away and then start offering bigger money deals to folks not at the tippy top.

I believe at the time the report was FTR was offered deals of $800k-$1million to stay with WWE when their deals were up since it was no secret they had one foot out the door the last few months they were there. Unless Vince is willing to pony up Brock level money I don't see it happening. (and I know Vince has the means to offer them that kind of money but I don't see him wanting to blow up his own pay scale when he really doesn't have any use for tag team specialists)

I'm sure there's a lot of folks who have been toiling on Dark/After Dark who would probably be interested in seeing if the grass is greener on the other side, but FTR has been there and done that so I don't see them having any interest in going back there. WWE gets the same mentality I see in Yankee fans where they think every star player will end up on their team eventually, and while it certainly happens frequently it's not a lock that everyone who's looking for a fresh start will want to go there. Especially now when they are even further narrowing their already slim window of who they think can be a star.

I'll be at Dynamite tomorrow, and they are doing photos with Sammy and Tay before the show if you bring in a pack of diapers to benefit a local charity. Not gonna lie, I'm considering getting a pic with PWO's favorite couple

Fightful reporting WWE has interest in getting FTR back, which makes sense since they are hot right now, but I don't see them wanting to go back to a place that doesn't give a shit about tag team wrestling unless they get an absolutely stupid money offer. Also unlike Cody it's all but assured AEW will be exercising the year option on them.

The way things are now, even if he did get called up, he'd 100% end up with the 24/7 geeks anyway.
-
Yeah tonight was fine. They delivered everything they advertised, which a minor miracle with WWE these days.
-
Pretty Deadly are great and their gimmick is something wrestling has missed for a while, but I shudder to think what the dinosaurs in WWE Creative will come up with for them.

ADRENALINE, IN MY SOUL WE GET TO DO THIS SONG AGAIN WOOOOOOOOOOAH OOHHHHH
-
Even something like Rhea/Liv where they don't expressly say it but it's clear what's going on would be nice to see.
-
Clearly WWE has a massive sapphic audience that is being underserved in a big way.
-
Sasha and Naomi probably wondering what the fuck did they do to have to be part of a segment with the 24/7 geeks.
-
R Truth is honestly a GOAT, he's been able to do this so consistently for literal decades.
-
I know Finn was getting paid way more than everyone else when he was in NXT, but he's got to be wondering if it's not time to go back to New Japan at this point.

Fightful just posted that Kushida has left WWE

lighting in that promo made Edge look like emaciated Triple H
-
Edge tying in this current gimmick in to his Brood/Ministry of Darkness character is the most long term storytelling WWE has done in years.
-
Also holy shit a Dinosaurs reference, haven't thought about that show in like 25 years.
-
I like to think being able to get stuff like this over is why KO realized he can have a long and lucrative WWE career.

Funny how Vince thought Elias in ring gear looked too much like Randy Savage, but beardless Elias looks almost exactly like young minor league baseball player Randy Poffo.

Clearly, India acknowledges the Big Dog. Which of course is another point, why does everyone assume there has to be an Indian star for the market to catch on? I mean, ideally that would be great but you can't force it.
-
Veer can do his Twitter gimmick on TV and be a real suave GQ looking motherfucker, but WWE gotta have him out there like a wild savage. New eyes with old ideas indeed.
-
Saw a good point made on Twitter (I know, I was surprised too!) that while everyone wants to make an Indian star to capture the market, they always make the person they want to do it with a heel. I think Impact is the only company I can recall that has tried winning over India with a babyface, and not surprisingly their TV deal there ended up being one of their main revenue sources,

Also did it seem like Sonya was sandbagging there? Odd seeing Bianca look like she had to muscle her up with some effort when she's picked up women twice her size with less effort.

Sonya is the greatest
