  1. As cool as it was seeing Stone Cold come back for one last surprisingly decent match at Mania, it wasn't worth it to have the WHAT chants come back again.
  2. not only was this stupid in the sense of ending something that was actually getting some interest (probably not the kind they wanted but still), it's also stupid how every women's tag team has to break up within months of forming.
  3. This is why WWE can't have nice things.
  4. Also I love that Rhea is fully aware of her strong lesbian fanbase and is leaning into it.
  5. I knew he would be a better fit here, but I'm amazed at how well it's been going so far.
  6. I just realized that Seth Rollins reminds me of a coked up 80s heel manager like Downtown Bruno, even down to his promo voice.
  7. Yeah its like when the whole league started doing Hack-A-Shaq because it was effective (he sucked at free throws) and they couldn't stop him any other way. It makes sense as a strategy but made the TV experience brutal.
  8. That's been my one issue so far, I don't have a local team and the ones geographically closest to me are in Ohio and Philly. Rooting for teams from those places can get a person excommunicated around here. The team I actually started watching first was the Galaxy back when Beckham was playing, but rooting for them feels like being the stereotype Yankees/Lakers/Duke front runner fan.
  9. Yeah it was clearly supposed to play off other instances of the ref accidentally (?) screwing Ospreay, but they apparently did it so well everyone thought it was a legit screwup.
  10. Speaking of, I've been getting back into soccer with MLS games airing on ESPN and FS1/2 now. I know everyone in Euroland laughs at MLS, but their rapid expansion ended up having a by product of causing teams to invest in younger players and not rely on being an old folks home for players who can't hack it in the Premier League anymore. It's actually pretty fun to watch and it's nice to see most games have pretty big crowds nowadays.
  11. I find it fascinating that outside of the Japanese and baseball, by far the most popular US sport outside of the US seems to be basketball.
  12. It's going to be available on NJPW World in a couple weeks, I assume due to whatever deal they had with FITE.
  13. Man, Satnam looked to be at least nine feet tall next to Gresham. That was an amazing visual.
  14. Sammy/Scorpio was good, not sure Sammy needed the title back again, but there seems to be a plan in place. Gresham is so effortlessly good at wrestling, TK needs to book a match vs Danielson ASAP.
  15. Has Conrad ever talked about either stepping back from his mortgage gig to devote more time to this, or somehow expanding his co host pool at least?
  16. Of course he did, being anti-AEW is the new grift it seems.
  17. Love how Madcap's promo about having to come up with jokes that only one person finds funny making him an insert for everyone who's ever been on the writing team.
  18. Rampage was great, Yuta getting the monster reactions was an amazing thing to see.
  19. Also this reminds me of how Konnan meeting with Tony during WM weekend and apparently giving him the okay to do whatever he wants with the AAA tag titles for whatever he's planning with FTR ended up (due to cross-language telephone games being played relaying the info) leading lucha twitter to briefly think TK was the new booker for AAA.
  20. Tony seems okay with his guys working anywhere they want as long as it doesn't conflict with an AEW date.
  21. I expect the BCC to leave the Gunn Club in a bloody heap, it almost seems like it's going to be the backdrop to an angle.
  22. I think part of it is the crowd really wants to get behind Skye Blue and they keep sending her out to get destroyed. I also think the fact that Marina's whole presentation to wrestling fans prior to AEW has been "Ronda's pal" so maybe there's a little bit of negative association there. I thought maybe there'd be a little more interest since she's probably the most "dangerous" challenger Jade has faced, but maybe it's just a case of everyone believing "Jade is just going to beat her so who cares".
  23. Khali did seem to get over in India, and WWE expected them to automatically cheer for a guy like Jinder who was pushed as a comedy jobber up to that point (and as stated before he's not even from India, he's Canadian).
  24. doing the angle for ROH after the ROH TV title match makes sense and all, but maybe it shouldn't have been the main event in that case.
  25. I'm thinking streaming deal as well. There were rumors it was going to be the last BIG ANNOUNCEMENT before the deal to buy ROH suddenly happened. Tony pretty much hinted he had something else to announce but didn't want to take away from the ROH news.
