Yeah for what his career goals seem to be, WWE is a much better fit for him. I have my doubts it will happen because WWE gonna WWE, but even taking that into account he's got a better shot of doing it here than he did in AEW.

Is it me, or does it seem Cody really left the company he helped found and had a cushy executive job at just so he could be the babyface he obviously wants to be? He clearly was getting frustrated at the AEW crowds not 100% cheering him, and as carny as he is, he's giving the impression all he wants is to be a beloved babyface.

This would have been an alright Raw on most weeks, kinda sucked as a OMG RAW AFTER MANIA show. A show who's claim to fame is the time when new faces and surprise returns pop up we got..... *checks notes* Elias looking like a sheared sheep claiming to be his younger brother.

It is interesting to see how Vince sees some people who leave and come back to be stuck in time from their last appearance (like John Morrison), and others are allowed to evolve like Drew and Cody.

It's so odd hearing Cody's AEW themesong about how he was fucked by WWE playing on Raw.

To me NXT started to lose its luster when they kept pushing programs past their sell by date and everyone had to have their own version of "I love you, I'm sorry".

WWE putting him onscreen with RIddle and Orton (who has been alleged to wave his wanger at the writing team) was quite a choice by WWE.

FWIW, I still think WWE would be better at least creative wise if Hunter was in charge. His vision of wrestling is pretty solid as long as he's not the one getting pushed as the top in ring star. No one really cared about his self serving intros when NXT was producing banger-ass Takeovers like it was going out of style.

Yeah the "Meltzer makes things up" crowd took some pretty big L's this weekend.

I think people care less about him beating Sting (that was largely seen as another case of Vince still fighting a war than ended long ago), and more about things like the Reign of Terror which helped accelerate the loss of audience after WCW died. His legacy was largely more negative than positive until, ironically, he created NXT and inadvertently set the wheels in motion to create the first real competitor to WWE in 20+ years.

Well the good thing about Brock is there's a decent chance that will happen no matter if it was intended or not.
