So the Embassy turned on Swerve but Nana wasn't there. I hope this doesn't mean he's not part of the act anymore.

Anarchy in the Arena boyz!

KOTOR starts while Jerry Lawler's announcing deal is allowed to end.

Kicking out of the burning hammer would have worked better if it had already been established as a MURDERDEATHKILL move in WWE to make a quick kickout seem impactful. I popped for Cody combining the fighting spirit no sell with Hulking up tho.

So is this the best crowd WWE has had since that show in PR? At least its a 1a-1b situation I feel.

HOLY SHIT GUNTHER VS SHEAMUS ON RAW

That finishing sequence was bananas, I want to see Jade and Tiffany have a feats of strength contest now.
-
Jey seems like he's about to get Lex Luger'd (if he hasn't been already). Mr. "Main Event" loses every time despite the crowd really wanting him to win. There was even a perfectly good storyline reason for Priest to lose since the Judgement Day is coming apart at the seams.

dang, Tiffany is a beast

I thought we were going to get Jacob Fatu showing up, but Tanga Loa is good too.

This crowd is nuts, who knew France was so starved for rasslin.
-
That crowd was pretty great though. International shows are always a fun time.

Seems like the takeway from that survey is that Voices of Wrestling readers (listeners?) want AEW to be like a US version of 90s All Japan.

The stache really makes Dom look like El Hijo del Eddy

Mahomes was a pretty impressive get, I'll hand it to them.

Yes, but isn't that part of the appeal of Danielson though? His whole deal is that he's an expert level technical wrestler that is going to slice you up like it's biology class. The way he can do that and still connect so well with the audience is what makes him GOAT status.

Surprised Kiana got the call up, not that she isn't ready but there wasn't even the slightest hint she was wrapping up yet. Hopefully it's not going to be another callup with no plans. I dunno about this quick squash match deal with Bron either. I get they are trying to get him over as an unstoppable badass but I feel like wrestling fans who aren't terminally online see short squashes as a way to hide that someone is a shit wrestler they don't want to get exposed.

Interesting that Dave's reaction basically that you can say that about Vince but it wasn't cool to say that about the whole company, when clearly there's still people working there who were directly or indirectly involved in everything. Also it seems like showing the Punk footage was not that terrible of an idea now? It set the stage for Jack's return, and even made sure he got a babyface reaction to make the heel turn hit even more? Sure it was motivated by pettiness, but they ended up using it for business as well I could see the new Elite being "get shit thrown at them like the early nWo days" level heels acting like complete corporate douchebags, and I suppose Kenny and Hangman are going to be on Team TK. I still want Shad to come out and cut a Godfather-ass promo threatening to kill a motherfucker for hurting his son.
-
Time will tell indeed, but they couldn't have sold that This is Serious Shit any harder than having Big Bad Dad Shad make his debut.

You're not wrong in the least, but I fucking love it that Jericho turned the internet's opinion of him into his new reinvention. That's some epic trolling combined with some epic carny work finding a way to make money off it. That's some HOF level work, bubbas.

Stardom ladies being a semi-regular thing in AEW is going to be a hoot. Also, Kenny stopped as short as humanly possible calling Rossy a pedo on one of his livestreams. What was possibly more alarming is that he heavily implied it was an open secret and people who want to praise him better watch their words because they'll end up looking really bad if/when the full story comes out. Made me think of all the times Cornette made off color jokes about Kenny being around underage Japanese girls, and how it might end up he was the one protecting them.

If I was Baron Corbin I would never want to leave NXT. He has a purpose there as a veteran for the young pups to work with and will just end up floating aimlessly on the main roster if he goes back.

Surprised how much Blair Davenport and Sol Ruca were killing each other in a match with a cheesy hardcore gimmick. It was probably a fun match to have tho, I've 100% hit people with those boogie board things when I was younger.
