WWE TV 09/14 - 09/20 Nearly all of our biomes are burning

Konnan enjoying a night out with his two young nephews. -
Right, but now more than ever WWE is built specifically to make sure no one particular person is a large enough draw they can't be replaced. I feel like modern WWE wrestlers get graded on standards that no longer exist. How can we determine if, say Drew or Keith Lee, are draws anymore?
-
Right, but I hear a lot of people stating "he's just working to get heat" as a defense of his nonsense but even if he is he attracts fans who are decidedly not. So at that point, even if he doesn't believe his own bullshit he's surrounded by people who do.

I can see WWE not wanting to sign her considering they shy away from anyone who has any history of medical issues like that.

One thing I've seen mentioned that I tend to agree with: if we're going to hold folks to the same standards of drawing ability, then no one from the post PPV WWE era can ever be elected to the WON HOF ever again. We're lucky if we know the non Mania PPV numbers anymore, so who's to know if anyone is ever a draw anymore? I suppose you can look at week to week TV bumps, but it's not like you can look at buyrates anymore and clearly show that wrestler X added this many buys to the show. In a company where the directive is the BRAND is the draw rather than any one person, how can anyone be considered a Hall of Famer by the standards set by the Observer?

Is she even still active? I thought she retired due to health issues a while ago.

Jimmy Jacobs did an interview describing the weirdness of being on the writing team and how he once got heat for wearing a pink tie to a writing team meeting during breast cancer awareness month. He summed it up by saying he enjoyed working for WWE but hated working for Vince. I just don't get the appeal of working for this company unless you can be like Brock and get paid millions and be able to tell Vince to fuck off. -
So I suppose Corny did a segment doing a contest to name the Joey Janela/Sonny Kiss team, and no surprise pretty much all the replies are homophobic and transphobic bullshit. If he's just working a gimmick, it's one that is quickly attracting a lot of the types he normally would rant against when he gets political.

I don't think it's the stiffness as much as the no selling to the point she made Orange Cassidy look like 1998 HBK. When someone with her rep does stuff like that, they aren't going to get any benefit of the doubt whatsoever, fair or not.

I think the best indictment is that the recently passed Casey Michael, who devoted his entire life to women's wrestling and those who do it, didn't like you that was the largest red flag possible.
-
Also it seems like deciding to start no selling in a match against someone who's trained and fought in MMA is not the best plan to have.

Yeah, but Billy is at least someone willing to spend money to run professional wrestling shows. That's not something common enough to be able to afford to piss one of them off. At this point, if it wasn't clear already, it seems like she needs to be moved fully into the "not worth the hassle" pile.

Ivelisse continuing to be the female Austin Aries is not surprising but disappointing. Not to mention of all people to decide to do it with, it's against someone representing another company so you can burn two bridges for the price of one.

Not even sure why Ciampa is still there, he publicly stated (correctly) his body couldn't handle a main roster WWE schedule and he's beyond played out in NXT. I mean obviously he's a "keep him so no one else can have him" guy, but he's just spinning his wheels. -

I know this list is long, but one of the things WWE missed the boat on is pushing Kacy as a Rey-style tiny person who can flip around and do amazing and cool things.
