  1. So I guess the Becky-Tiff extreme rules match is going to be Becky's "Mick Foley putting over Triple H" moment.
  2. They've been doing good so far, but having the Native American wrestler who uses his heritage as part of his gimmick do what historically been called an "Indian Strap Match" seems like it's pushing things.
  3. I love that KO is basically the only person on Raw who's been watching the show for the last three years and just won't be pals with Jey.

    CM Punk Fired

Yeah, between that and wanting to stick it to AEW I don't have much doubt at this point WWE will make a play for him. At that point the race is on for what gets him first: injury or blowup?
  5. As a kid I watched Mike Tyson murder fools all while sounding like Tweety Bird, so Keith and Brock's voices never bothered me much.
  6. Keith Lee reminds me of Beast from the X-Men, big bruising guy who speaks like a college professor.

    CM Punk Fired

Even if there's not another blowup (and there absolutely will be), it'll be like 4-5 months max before something else explodes on his body.

    CM Punk Fired

I'm sure it will happen because it's the wrestling business, but I don't see how going back to WWE will end any differently for Punk since everything that pissed him off is still there.
  9. There has never been, and probably never will be again, someone who does pro wrestling as effortlessly as Rock.
  10. Him and Pat wearing the same outfit was like the pointing Spidermen meme come to life
  11. WWE has ways to make it so the obviously roided up guy they want to push doesn't fail a drug test.
  12. Joe remains the scariest looking mf in the business.
  13. Swerve/Hangman sounds like a fun time. WrestleDream looking like another banger show for AEW
  14. It's still shocking to me that WWE hasn't backed the money truck into Brian Cage's driveway yet. A guy that jacked who can do impressive stuff is the stuff of Vince's dreams.
  15. Toni Storm continues to be golden in this role, I need a skit where we meet her and Juice at home both in full character.
  16. Reposting since some of y'all forget the board doesn't like apostrophes in the thread title
  17. Now that Becky has the title, it's going to cause a weird situation where either she's going to have to lose to someone noticeably below her level or have a Solo Sikoa situation where they just take the title off her because reasons. Unless the plan is for Tiff to win it back, which itself is kind of odd since that would imply an imminent call up and it's still too soon for that.
  18. Well of course the difference is Becky didn't make her look like shit like Hunter tended to do when giving someone the rub.
  19. I wonder how many times Becky and Lyra had to shoot their little interaction given that two Irish people speaking to each other causes their accents to increase by 150%
  20. I wonder, are they trying to make Corbin a babyface since he got cheered over Gable?
  21. I suppose at least the odds are low she'll try to take liberties with Rhea
  22. https://www.f4wonline.com/news/wwe/port-authority-pd-investigating-sexual-assault-claim-matt-riddle-made-against-officer The tl;dr of the story is Matt Riddle (allegedly) got loaded on the flight back from India and got into a fracas with the Port Authority police at JFK, which led to him claiming he was "sexually assaulted" by the cops. Not sure why WWE keeps him around at this point, tbh.
  23. The entire point of pro wrestling is to entertain the crowd and make money. Hating on someone or something that does that because it doesn't jibe with what people did 30-40 years ago isn't taking some bold stand on the state of the art. It's just being an old man yelling at the kids to get off your lawn. Warrior was a trash human being, but he was very successful to the point he was the heir apparent to Hogan. It didn't matter he couldn't work a six star match if his life depended on it, he connected with the crowd in a way a lot of others couldn't. If he wasn't such a head case he might have been at that Hogan level. All that being said, if someone says they didn't like the guy I wouldn't blame them. But you can't deny the man was (briefly at least) a huge success. Also in terms of Corny in particular, he tends to get personal with his criticism in a way that gets uncomfortable. OK, he doesn't like Kenny Omega's style that's fine, but then he gets into the weirdly homophobic comments and its like show me on the doll where Kenny hurt you.
  24. Yeah but in wrestling if something is getting over, then it's working regardless if a cranky ex manager likes it or not. I get not everyone is going to like everything done in wrestling, but if something is getting over and/or drawing money it makes you look like a contrarian dickhead to devote your platform to railing on it.
  25. Most of his takes are either "I don't personally like this so it's shit even if it's over/drawing money" or some variation of "what *insert modern wrestler* does wouldn't work in my day". neither of which are very worthwhile other than Corny is a very quick witted and a good storyteller so he says them in entertaining ways.
