Well I certainly didn't expect Cody's first WWE being the tag titles, but that was a fun opener.

They just showed Jade arriving on the pre show and meeting Triple H

Once again we have Seth vs Nak in a match that while the build was pretty solid, doesn't have very much doubt as to the outcome. LWO vs the Lashley Profits has some intrigue as far as who's Rey making a phone call to in order to have a third guy. Orton's supposedly been at the PC maybe he's returning? Even if he's not 100% yet a trios match where he can come in and just do a couple things wouldn't be too taxing a return. The women's three way will probably just be reduced to however they plan to set up the Jade reveal, which if that's the case kinda sucks since it seems like Iyo's run with the title has been taking a back seat to everyone else in the division. I get the feeling the Cena/Knight vs Bloodline and Judgment Day vs Cody/Jey are going to end up being angle advancement towards what I suspect will be a big Survivor Series match.

So I guess Bloodline/JD vs Cena/Knight/Jey/Cody/Sami/KO for Survivor Series?

It's funny how quickly most wrestling fans forgot that people going from company to company was what made things better. If someone was getting stale, they'd move to a new promotion and get a boost just from being in a new environment. Now everyone's so tribalistic someone jumping to a new company is seen as a traitor the crazies. Dynamite was a fun show, and I'm wondering who will end up being the one who attacked Jay White.

Not that beating Dynamite isn't something they're interested in, but they've been trying to gas up NXT so they can get a fat new TV deal for it since USA is only going to be carrying Smackdown now going forward.

Becky needed 11 stitches on her elbow from that match, which doesn't sound too bad but I imagine that would suck on a bending part of the body.

Finally got to catch up on the show, good bubba Jmare hit all the key points, but I'm surprised how much Edge was able to bring with him. The Alter Bridge theme sounded like a re-recorded version, but how was Rated R Superstar not still trademarked? Folks may grumble about AEW signing him, but with WWE already primed to give Jade the megapush from the jump they needed to make a move in kind. Also interested in how heel Nick Wayne will work, but at least there's an obvious explanation for him turning since Darby was so quick to forgive AR Fox for murdering Nick in his dad's ring.

For some reason I can't watch live streams of a certain nature without constant buffering, so I'm going to have to watch this show after the fact.

100% this. They got the Jeff Jarret in WCW treatment by being a top act in a promotion where the wheels were falling off, even though they weren't the problem.

Having the hometown guy lose in the main event is such a WWE move (especially with memories of Sami losing in Montreal not that long ago), I just don't see AEW doing that.
