  1. "She's a whore" chants in ECW were always cringeworthy. Also, Jesus Christ, I never heard about that one. Not sure if that's worse than GLF trying to turn Candido's funeral into a meet and greet.
  2. He's on Twitter, at least as of April 21: https://twitter.com/hyattelives
  3. I just assumed it was a combination of not having much time, and not really being a stylistic fit for World Class at the time. They were going all MTV with music videos and whatnot, what were the Funks going to do in that environment? They already had Harley coming in to play the "grizzled NWA champion making the Von Erich boys look good" role at that time.
  4. Hips are a little more involved than knees but it's still something that could be taken care of and would greatly improve the guy's quality of life. Hell, I'm sure he could even get WWE to foot the bill since they are always in need of good PR.
  5. The thing about Foley is a good deal of what makes him look like a broken down old man probably could be taken care of with a knee replacement or two. The process is way less invasive than ever (my 86 year old grandmother-in-law had one a few years ago and was barely out of commission at all), but knowing his well documented thriftiness he seemingly would rather limp around than spend the money.
  6. Not to mention Hunter's constant Floyd dick sucking isn't a good look for a father of three daughters, regardless of his position.
  7. Anyone else listen to last night's WON radio and get a kick out of Dave's HHH impression? Apparently "it's not believable" is the go to line for him like saying "goddammit" is for a Vince impression.
  8. I've heard it mentioned that the Adorable gimmick was what was in the suitcase, but to be honest that always seemed like reconning since I've never really seen anything from the timeframe that suggests that was the deal.
  9. I read this as James Deen, which would certainly announce and end to the PG era. Material for the next Jerry Springer Too Hot For TV episode, no doubt.
  10. That's how the refs make sure everyone's OK after a big spot, by having them grab his hand if they're not dead.
  11. I don't see what Dana and/or UFC get out of it really. They are the ones with all the risk of one of their top draws maybe getting hurt, and WWE gets all the reward having a UFC star on their big shows.
  12. I predict every non wrestling fan friend you have will show up at your house just as the finish of the Kiss Me Arse match happens.
  13. As much as I've been unexpectedly digging Ninja Orton RKO'ing random fools like a 2015 Positively Kanyon, I'm dreading the title match and the inevitable "Ha ha, we fooled you dummies" ending where Kane stays loyal to the Authority. It's amazing, the crowds seem to really want to see Kane vs Seth, but even if they go that route it will likely be months too late and no one will care.
  14. Yeah, you can tell there were big plans for Owen when he returned to be paired with HBK. Next thing you know he was the third banana in the Nation and was being called a nugget.
  15. So AAA is having a multi promotional trios tourney with their guys along with wrestlers from TNA, ROH, NOAH, and All Japan. Their sponsor wanted CMLL involved which was shot down for obvious reasons, and New Japan declined out of loyalty to CMLL and also the money they make from the FantasticaMania tours. Hasn't NOAH been basically a New Japan satellite promotion as of late being booked by Jado and Gedo? I wonder how they managed to sneak in, unless AAA isn't aware of the deal.
  16. I don't want to discount what may very well be the guy's actual feelings, but didn't HHH torpedo the big post-Montreal push Owen was supposed to get by telling HBK he shouldn't lose to a guy like that? Just seems disingenuous to put a guy over that strong after he passes away when you didn't think he was on your (or your buddy's) level when he was alive.
  17. To be fair, Miz is pretty badly miscast as an action hero. Some guys can pull off "tough guy" and some can't. Miz seems to be the kind of guy who can't.
  18. Per Dave they didn't outright ban it, but it's more of a semantics thing and he's not going to be doing the move anymore. My guess is they probably figured it might cause bad PR to have the WWE champion stomp a guy's head for a finish in the Concussion Lawsuit Era we're currently in.
  19. He seems to want to have two different characters, evil Authority bad guy rassler Triple H and WWE CEO Paul Levesque. Paul was doing the promo tonight and it seemed like the crowd didn't know how to react to it. Maybe he got too used to the NXT crowds accepting him as the good guy executive.
  20. Would think he was cleared and then symptoms returned. Well according to Punk being cleared by a WWE doctor pretty much meant you made it to the building under your own power. There doesn't seem to be much short of hospitalization that would prevent getting cleared. Also, and not to come off as another armchair doctor, it doesn't seem like anyone who's gone in for alternate treatment for neck issues ended up coming out ahead.
  21. Dubbed, but it's not that distracting until the main event. Sandman's entrance loses all the emotional impact without Metallica.
  22. I was under the impression the issue was the Todd/Coughlin heat, none of the roughly eight million threads on the WON board about it mention anything about the Observer reviews.
  23. From what I can gather, Coughlin has been going through some personal shit and while possibly drunk posting he took some shots at Todd. He either didn't know about Mike's issues or didn't care (they had run ins before), and took some shots back. Mike was temp banned and Todd seems to have vanished until the heat dies down.
  24. So they skipped the gun angle episode, as I remember at the time WWF was more upset at the f bomb that went out uncensored rather than the implied homicide.
  25. That particular item is so ridiculously weird and pretty unbelievable to me. Basically, Afa and Sika, with over 40 years of exposure to the business, are total marks who believe that Reigns winning/losing a fake championship is a legit reason to leave the top wrestling promotion in America? According to wikipedia, they won 21 Tag Team Championships as the Wild Samoans. Did they quit these promotions 21 times when it was scripted that they lost? There was more to the story, for whatever reason Samu wasn't originally invited to the HOF with the rest of the family which pissed his dad (Afa) off so the family was already grumpy at WWE when the title stuff went down. There's probably a good chance Sika saw how the main event went down as a double cross of sorts, and considering how famously petty WWE can be it wasn't the craziest notion.
