Only if they break up because of Punk's lustful eyes toward Brie Bella.

What's depressing is if WWE takes anything away from people's reaction (which is a big if in itself), they'll probably assume people are just mad Bryan lost and miss the point completely. I'll admit I really would love to see a potential Bryan-HBK match, but it's just really a turnoff that in 2013 it seems like WWE is now just Hunter and Pals Run Wild. Even when Vince comes back to kick off their big WM angle for control of the company, it's still going to be reruns of shit we saw over and over again. In fact, I would submit to the court that the most damaging thing to pro wrestling in the US has been WWE's idea that the company is the draw rather than the wrestlers. Not only does that fly in the face of over a hundred years of history, it guarantees you'll never create new stars because you've established they are just interchangeable parts.

Guess Daniel Bryan is now 2013's Lex Luger as the guy who can't win the big one.

Mr. Backlund doing the Millions of Dollars dance made the PPV worth it.

Maybe all the people who bet on WWE will put their money on Orton, and Vince will change the match just to fuck with them. Because as you know, internet fans are too small a number to worry about, but a handful of people betting on worked matches warrant changing PPV finishes.

The problem with painting HHH as "the guy the office didn't believe in back in the day" is the audience that is geared to get heat with knows he was pushed down everyone's throats from day one. It's not even like HHH: Company Man is a new gimmick. Hell, right now you can go to WWE On Demand and watch Raws from 1999 where he's part of the Corporation.

I don't begrudge a guy for wanting to get paid, but he wasn't the only one to compile those results for his site.

So I can't decide if Triple H is just really good at working the internet with his heel character or if he's being a petty, insecure bitch after that promo to end Raw. Burying guys who don't work for the company in a way that serves no storyline purpose is kind of a dick move, but his comments seem a little too on the nose (no pun intended) and come off like he's purposely trying to "werk the smarts".

The clasico match from last week's WWC TV was Invader I&III vs the Sheepherders in a barbed wire match. It was surprisingly not as violent as you'd expect a match with those guys to be but once it got going it was pretty damn good. Also watching El Bronco on the current show showed how WWC these days seems to be the bizarro world version of TNA where the old guys are entertaining and putting on good matches and the young guys seem to be all blended together.

Is TNA the worst wrestling promotion in history?
sek69 replied to Loss's topic in Megathread archive
What kills me is when WCW was circling the bowl, pretty much everything was shit so ending it was a mercy killing. TNA actually has good matches most weeks and their PPVs are usually good wrestling wise. It makes it all the more frustrating that they can't ever get anyone who knows what they're doing to run the place. -
For all the criticism WWE gets for telling the fans what they want instead of listening to them at times, CMLL continues to baffle me. First they piss off the largest house they ever drew by not giving them the Atlantis-Ultimo Guererro match they all paid to see, and now they don't call an audible and have Porky win the Super Libre+ hair match last night. Both guys have lost hair matches before, and it would have been a great feel good moment after the guy's brother just died a few days ago.

It's selfish, but Eric was fucking with him so bad at times I can understand why he'd feel that way.

Speaking of, didn't it come out that Shaul leaving developmental to go back to school or whatever was a cover for her getting treatment for an eating disorder?

What makes the "parrot the interviewer's question" thing funny is doing that is the first thing cops/profilers/etc look at to see if someone's lying. The longer it takes for someone to answer a question usually means they are trying to come up with a convincing lie.

The thing with Dustin is not so much the booking (which didn't help) but his penchant for being not in the best of shape a lot of the time in what would have been his physical prime.

That main event was some god damned good professional wrestling. I'm in agreement that it's not even funny how Goldust is above like 90% or more of the roster in less than a month.

I know they claim Cena has superhuman genetics and all, but unless he's secretly one of the X-Men it seems like a slap in the face of everyone who's ever got a Wellness violation that he's returning from a tricep tear in two months. Not to mention the injury itself only became common in other sports after steroid usage became commonplace.

All I know is that it's going to be really hard to resist buying a sheep mask at the merch table, I already have the beard for it.

Sweet, I got my tickets the other day as well. I figure the Rumble is one PPV you can be reasonably certain will have a finish these days.
-
So I'm watching the Monterrey lucha TV, and they have a trios match with Universo 2000, Mascara Ano 2000, and Cien Caras Jr vs Hijo del Dos Caras (Memo from FCW), Sicodelico Jr, and Mil F'N Mascaras. Mil of course can't bump at all anymore, and his arms are so thin now he looks like Giant Baba wearing a mask, but god damn if that fucker didn't get the win with the flying bodypress. Say what you will about the guy, but that was pretty impressive for a guy in his 70s.

Somewhere Joe Koff is laughing his ass off.

AJ is Cena-like with her loud spot calling tonight.

So when Vince bought the WWF from his dad, he agreed to jobs for life for some of the people who worked with Sr. HHH and Steph have made it clear once they get control they plan to dump all of Vince's people and bring in their own. Based on everything we've heard through the years about how important loyalty is to Vince, how is he not losing his shit over this?
-
I heard that too, but took it as him reporting the facts of the matter (as he should as a journalist - it was a notable exception) rather than him passing judgement or commentary. In the actual newsletter he did, listing off all the people mentioned and then adding "yes, the 280 pound elephant in the room is Brody".
-
I noticed her reaction seemed to be legit surprise that he did that, and just laughed uproariously. I gather based on various things he's said over the years that his basic view of her is he'll be respectful because she's the boss but deep down he really doesn't give a shit if he upsets her or not.
