  1. I'm mad at how much I laughed at that, holy shit
  2. Logan has been really good at the whole pro wrestling thing, turns out being a legit douchebag goes well with being a good wrestling heel.
  3. The whole reason Vikingo is a big star now is because Kenny wanted to do a match with him so AAA heated him up. Then Kenny's body fell apart before they had a chance to do it, but it ended up working out for AAA since they got a star out of it and they most likely will finally do the match this year unless shit happens again.
  4. Magnum TA's story is kind of too happy for Dark Side imo. Yeah his wrestling career was cut short but he ended up having a pretty successful life afterwards.
  5. The closest comparison would be with the cartels, and they tend to not get involved with civilians if they can avoid it. There have been rumors that some promotions pay them money to make sure there's no violence when they run their shows, but AFAIK that's never been proven.
  6. AAA has an issue brewing, they wanted to do a celebrity match with Mexican Instagram star Adrian Marcelo vs Chessman. Problem is, the Monterrey commision is strict on who they license to do matches, and Marcelo quit during the licensing exam (which is apparently a three hour ordeal). This isn't like in WWE where they can just be like "fuck the commission" and do what they want, pissing off the commission would cause major headaches for AAA so it's up in the air on what they are going to do.
  7. OTISMANIA running wild in Seattle
  8. Evil Trish? Well that's something
  9. I guess they saw enough of Celtics-era Shaq Lita
  10. FInn's nuts for wrestling a week after getting his head split.
  11. Fite TV has the main event on their event page as Vikingo defending the AAA Mega title against Swerve Strickland, Komander, and Rich Swann.
  12. I'm not close to the family, just read things that have been said over the years. Like Hector making comments about Vicki not being a nice person, which a lot of people just said was sour grapes over him working for TNA while Chavo Sr got a WWE gig. Chavo Jr has made similar allusions in the past as well, and her behavior in this whole ordeal seems to have confirmed a lot of what they were saying.
  13. It was, and I'm sure it was just a wild coincidence Vince wasn't around backstage. WWE's going to come to a crossroads (no pun intended) real soon: talent is super uneasy at the idea of Vince having creative control back, and there's apparently more than a handful of upper card folks who won't want to stick around if things go back to the way they used to be. The new owners at Endeavor are not likely to be looking at breaking the bank to entice anyone to stay, and it's pretty clear AEW is going to have more money to play with since it's pretty clear that they are going to be getting extra TV money barring anything catastrophic happening. At the very least WBD will option them for another year with a decent bump in pay, if not them getting a whole new deal. So Vince has to consider is it worth wanting to flex nuts on Hunter for thinking he could pull off a coup if it means half your talent ends up on Dynamite?
  14. I always heard that the family were never big fans of Vicki, but just mostly would grin and bear it because they wanted to keep the peace (and also probably not piss off Eddie). I'm starting to understand why now.
  15. Genesis was a fun show, I wasn't expecting them to pull the trigger on SANADA this quickly, but apparently Gedo isn't fucking around with this guy. Funny how I seem to recall there being a lot of buzz around him when he came back from his excursion in TNA, but then he was just some dude in the background of LIJ. I don't know what made them think he was suddenly The Guy, but they certainly did everything possible to kick it off as strong as possible.
  16. I think the responses here pretty well illustrate why it's important to do the basic effort to ensure this kind of thing never happens. Also everyone keep it civil. *goes back to watching Australian rules football*
  17. Which is why I said it doesn't matter one flying frig if anyone was or wasn't "offended" by it.
  18. It doesn't matter if anyone was "triggered" or "offended" over it (I seem to be hearing a certain kind of whistle here....), it's the basic fact that a clip of the most infamous concentration camp in the history of the world had no business anywhere near a god damned Wrestlemania video. A billion dollar corporation (one in the midst of purchase negotiations no less) not doing the barest level of due diligence on their stock video sources is an absolute clown shoes move.
  19. All Hunter had to do for the show to improve was to not rip up the script mid show and change shit until it was an unrecognizable mess. Plus the rule always is if Heyman is involved onscreen in an angle he's the one booking it. To be fair to Hunter though, just sitting back and not constantly meddling is not something seen in WWE creative for decades, so it was in fact a massive improvement. What's going to be fun is seeing how Endeavour is going to handle one of their brands having actual competition. If a UFC fighter is unhappy, what are they gonna do? No one's going to pay them what UFC does, even if's peanuts. WWE folks have options that (depending on their position) would pay them the same and in most cases more.
  20. I don't think anyone is seriously expecting the full 90k sellout no matter what, but a combination of a Sting retirement match, potential first time UK stadium show for not just AEW but probably New Japan as well as whatever big matches the Elite and pals are doing.....I could see 40k easily. Plus.....TK *has* been talking to Punk for a while now. Not to kick that hornet nest again, but his AEW return could be a draw too.
  21. I would assume they are going to pull out all the stops, which should be something to behold.
  22. Yeah I thought the whole issue was he swiss cheesed his brain doing all those headbutt spots.
  23. I figured they were going to do a show at Fulham's stadium, but damn, go big or go home I guess.
  24. If Aja Kong wants to stand next to you, who's going to tell her no?
  25. Rhea and Raquel hinting at a possible BIG MEATY WOMEN SLAPPING MEAT match has me intrigued
