  1. Bret, no doubt.
  2. Percy Pringle was outstanding in World Class, you want to talk about taking bumps, he got a runt like Chris Von Erich over since he was the only guy that Chris could face and look credible. He was absolutely handcuffed by his gimmick in the WWF, Paul Bearer is no reflection on the man's talent as a manager.
  3. No, but I think he, or some major name, is having to have one. I could have sworn that I read somewhere that one of the times he took off for a back injury was cover for hip surgery. Must have been someone else.
  4. Paul Bearer was handcuffed by the gimmick, Percy Pringle was a great manager in World Class. Actually, most managers are made by their gimmick. Downtown Bruno was great as a heel in Memphis, but Harvey Whippleman was a terrible manager in the WWF. It didn't help that most of his charges were jobbers, but his gimmick left no chance of him ever getting over. I'd actually vote for Paul Ellering as the worst manager. The Roadies certainly didn't need a mouthpiece, and they certainly didn't need someone to interfere on their behalf. There was literally no reason for Ellering to be there.
  5. Didn't Scott Steiner have a hip replacement as well?
  6. I'm partial towards Taker/Kane vs Kronik just for the sheer blownspottedness of it. It's one thing to have a bad match, it's a whole other level to have a bad match where almost everything but the punches were blown so bad it made you turn away in shame and embarrassment.
  7. All this suckness begs the question, what is the worst match of all time?
  8. HHH turning on Flair now? This could be good or bad depending on how much Flair has to get in the ring.
  9. Can Hogan not do the legdrop anymore since his hip replacement or is he just afraid to do it? Usually a replaced joint (when healed) is stronger than the original, I can't imagine he phyiscally can't do it.
  10. With Trish out of commission, I guess that leaves a heel Lita beating up on the T&A whores until she comes back.
  11. What is this YouSend thing you speak of?
  12. When HTQ stabs his own eyes out, you'll have no one but yourselves to blame.
  13. I got the Unforgiven 2001 and experienced the joy of Taker/Kane vs Kronik again. The best part hands down is when Kronik fucks up a double team whatever on Taker, leaving Kane to perch on the top rope like a 300 pound parakeet while Taker positions Adams (?) in the proper place for Kane's clothesline while audibly yelling "FUCK!" in frustration.
  14. count me in
  15. Holy shit. That's pretty much all I can say right now.
  16. The WWE will always favor jacked-up stiffs as long as Vince has any say. As far as the Big Show, Vince is probably still mad at signing him to that long contract.
  17. I think HTQ is trying for Sainthood, willingly watching and reviewing the worst matches in history.
  18. Kevin Nash is tailor made for the kind of commentary role Jesse Ventura used to provide back in the 80s. The only problem is that these days they like to have guys beat up announcers to get quick heel heat and there's no way Nash would work in that role. I think Coach and a full face Lawler would be a good team for RAW, since Coach is probably the best announcer on that side now.
  19. Sometimes WWE DVDs have chapter stops at odd places, like between the intros and the start of a match, so I'd be careful ripping by chapter alone.
  20. I don't get why ROH would suddenly stop using him in top matches, it's not like he suddenly lost his ability to work.
  21. My main beef with Jim Ross is that it's becoming too obvious which guys he doesn't think much of. They kind of made this part of the angle with Edge. If the announcers can't get behind a guy, why would the fans?
  22. I have The Wrestler on DVD, which if you haven't heard of it, was Verne Gagne's movie about....Verne Gagne. Billy Robinson plays the young new babyface, and you could even tell in the movie that he had douche tendancies that would result in a asskicking like that.
  23. In order to copy individual matches, you'd need to convert the DVD to an mpeg format then use a video editor to cut the parts you want. It's really a pain in the ass process. You need lots of hard drive space for any sort of DVD copying, at least 4 to 8 GB free. Even more if you do what I do, copy the DVD to disc, compress it to fit on a DVD+R, then copy to a blank disc.
  24. *takes out notepad* Rule 1. Never fuck with a samoan.... Man, between samoans and tongans (Meng) the crime rate on those islands must be near zero.
  25. The point I was making is that in the 80s WWF, Hogan was the reason for the big money. Just like the nWo was the reason for the big money in WCW. Both had undercards designed to entertain those who may have not been fans of the upppercard, but the undercard wasn't what helped draw money. They helped the ratings, I'm sure, but not money.
