  1. Chavo Guerrero Jr. is the new ECW World Champion. I don't agree with this booking decision, but whatever, congratulations are in order for Chavo, regardless of how ridiculous it is.
  2. Tom Magee?
  3. Why? She's much bigger than Jericho, and possibly stronger than him. Similar to how Awesome Kong is bigger and stronger than most of the top guys in TNA; if Kurt Angle can sell for Christian's offense, I don't see why selling Kong's would be a problem. Do you just not believe that a girl can whup a guy, period? Strength has nothing to do with it, considering Andre the Giant is way stronger than say...Bruce Lee, but we all know who'd win that fight. I know women are certainly capable of beating men to death/senseless/into submission, or whatever, but it's something I just don't think is really necessary, or realistic. There's a clear division in wrestling, the men are vastly superior, and it's booked that way for a reason. How many men would enjoy watching a woman beat the holy hell out of a man like Angle? I'm sure women feel the same way when one of the ladies gets brutalized by a man, it has the same effect.
  4. I think it hurt Jericho. It was his first major feud since joining the WWF, he should have been feuding with the Rock instead. Although Chyna is a genetic freak, I just don't buy her beating someone like Jericho legit, and it takes away from the match, at least, in my eyes. It's certainly possible that she could defeat Jarrett, but not Jericho (he's kicked Goldberg's ass). I still don't understand how her Playboy sold that many copies. She's like a man. The WWF was at it's peak in '98, and early '99, correct? Loss, I read about the piping in thing on some message board, who had citied a direct quote from Meltzer, IIRC.
  5. I'm referring to both, actually. And don't think the fans actually were making all of that noise, Vince was piping in a tremendous amount of volume back in those days.
  6. He's a master politician. He should be running this country.
  7. Eh. The Triple H hate is old news. I've never really understood why everyone is always riding his jock, putting him down, or whatever. He's a business man, pure and simple. As long as he gets his cut, his pay day, his big chested wife to play with, he's happy. Sounds like any mans wet dream. I can't rationally blame the guy for what he does. Plenty of other wrestlers have down the same, with some to a much more extreme, and some far less. Guys like Flair, Hogan, Lawler, Rhodes, Jarrett, Angle, Nash, Hall, Misawa, Muto, Inoki, Santo, Goldberg, Gagne, 'Taker, Austin, Luger, Sting, Michaels, and the list could literally go on, and on, they've all done it. Like I said, some were worse than others, most notably Gagne and Inoki, but some were far less, like Sting and Hall. Basically, the gist of what I'm saying is simple: Triple H is looking out for number one, being greedy in the process, pissing off the fans, and making sure he keeps getting his large paydays. Every man has his price, and Mr. H has sold his soul to ensure he remains at the top until he chooses to step down. He's doing what every person secretly wishes they could do, control their own life and destiny. I know I do, but the chances are, I never will. I congratulate Triple H, but do I personally enjoy the bullshit politics, continious backstabbing, no I do not. I do however, understand it.
  8. *If* done properly, it could bring in some buzz, and maybe draw a decent PPV outing. However, the negative press involved would hinder any good that would come from it. 1 - Men shouldn't be "fighting" women 2 - Kong isn't a credible threat to a man with Angle's credentials, replace her with a fitness/Drill Instructor from the Marine Corps. and that might be a little more believable 3 - TNA would ultimately screw it up horrendously, probably having Angle brutalize Kong, or mocking her nationality 4 - Angle would be made to lock like a chump if Kong scored any credible offense on him, people aren't willing to believe a woman is possible of inflicting damage upon a man yet, even in the year 2008

  10. At least J.R didn't call Jeff's swanton a Twist of Fate.
  11. Nice list, although you are missing some stuff: Benoit/Hart vs. Outsiders vs. Sid/Goldberg - Cage match on Nitro from '99 IIRC

  13. You guys do realize you're arguing about a fake sport, on a internet message board, right?

  17. I think this idea would be interesting, but not something TNA could pull off. I wouldn't want to see Kong get in any credible offense on Angle, considering his amatuer history, and overall standing in professional wrestling. However, I wouldn't want to see Kong get pummeled either. It's definitely hard to pull off without someone looking bad.
  18. Yeah, Kong could legit destroy Red and Spike, easily.
  19. I'm sure you could pencil that up as nervousness. I'm still disappointed Jericho got wasted from the get go in the WWF.
  20. Saw this on another board, thought it was very interesting.
  21. Loss, have you read Bret Hart's book? Did Jericho praise himself a lot, just like in every other wrestling book written by a pro wrestler? That's always been a turn off. That's the main criticism I have against professional wrestlers and their books.
  22. The spot I'm referring to was against Super Dragon. It was at a PWG show, which routinely draws over a hundred folks. I'm sure you're talking about IWA-MS. I used to be a fan, but they're heavily hyped matches aren't really that great. I haven't seen a show of theirs since '04, so things may have changed for the better. It's doubtful though, Ian Rotten is the boss down there.
  23. This is Necro Butcher we're talking about. The same guy who enjoys taking Burning Hammers on a folding chair in front of a few hundred people.
  24. Michaels before his "retirement" was one of the best workers in the business at that point. If he wanted to work, he could, but the chances of him actually wanting to work hard weren't that great. He was in business for himself, and himself only. Michaels after his "retirement" is much the same. He works extremely hard parallel guys like HHH/Flair/Cena/Taker/Benoit/Angle. He didn't do much with Kennedy, although he did lose clean, which is as rare as Taker or HHH losing cleanly. His overall quality in workrate and promos have dwindled. Pre 98 Shawn will be remembered as a selfish jerk who could work, and Post 02 Shawn will be remembered as a has been who gets on his knees far too easily. Don't get me wrong, he can still go, but no where near the level he "retired" at. He's awfully similar to Michael Jordan.
