Even if there was a source, would that make it anymore valid? It could still be shot down as BS. It's just fun to talk about. I Copy/Pasted it from DVDVR (and fixed the spelling errors), but that doesn't make it any LESS funny. Yeah, and it's posted on Something Awful, Wrestling Forum, WrestlingClique, BlueGuerilla, RetroGamer, etc. It's all over the internet. Same Copy/Paste job, no source listed for it anywhere. It's not like I didn't look before posting it, I came up empty and gave up. I didn't think it mattered THAT much since it's obviously a rumor fluff piece anyway. If it was Dave Meltzer or Bryan Alverez that said it, that would not somehow make it more factual. I just like to think the chick is batshit insane, without it being drug related for once.
-
Honestly, this chick is crazy. I can not help but find it humorous that John Morrison still has to take the wrap for her antics though. I remember right after she was released she tried to show up at a show with John Morrison and get backstage too.

What if he was in rehab when something like this happened? Would they arrest someone from rehab? How does that work? I ask because he really needs rehab, and I think he should go. It would be a lot more beneficial in his case than jail time would.

Which is silly because ratings are down anyway and they're always, no matter what, going to get killed by Monday Night Football. If anything this should be the time when they're trying to increase Pay-Per-View buys, not television ratings. It's O.K. though because now they'll have the guy that played Wolverine in some terrible skits shilling his new terrible Rock 'Em, Sock 'Em Robots movie. At least the Mark Henry build-up was executed well.

It wasn't a burial at all. Punk took 3 Pedigree's and a Jackknife Powerbomb. It was just a clusterfuck. Miz & Truth did their run-in, beat-up both Punk & HHH. Then put Punk on top of HHH for the pinfall...HHH kicked out. Then later, Punk went for a pin, and Truth pulled him off (which didn't make any sense to what they were doing earlier). Johnny Ace came down and wouldn't let the new ref (old ref was bumped by Miz/Truth) get in the ring to make the pinfall following a Pedigree. Which made it look like he wanted Hunter to lose (which would make sense, from a power play point of view). Then when Punk hit the Go-To-Sleep, he let the new ref go in to make the pinfall count (which is the one Truth broke up). Then Johnny Ace sent a text, which caused Nash to do a run-in. Then Nash beat-up BOTH Punk and Nash (which AGAIN didn't make any fuckin' sense whatsoever, since I thought Ace wanted HHH to lose). It was just a bigger fuck-up than the ending of NXT season 2.

I have been watching wrestling for a long time. Over twenty years. Tonight, when Mark Henry knocked Randy Orton out of the RKO, then shook his head at him (as if telling him "you ain't got it"), before hitting the World's Strongest THUMP Slam for the clean win in the middle of the ring...that is one of the most satisfying moments I have ever lived through while watching. That was awesome and incredible and extremely satisfying and fulfilling.

I just went and watched quite a few Lawler clips on YouTube and it looks like he kind of did both. Sometimes he would no-sell right before the strap came down, sometimes he would no-sell right after the strap came down. Sometimes he didn't no-sell at all and the strap coming down just made the heel beg him off or signaled him switching to offense. You watch a different clip, against Dundee or Funk or Martel, and you get different things. There is no question that he was "Hulking up" in all of them though.

Regal is awesome. It's a shame circumstances arose to stop both his G.M. angle and King of the Ring story. I hope he gets to do more than NXT commentary on WWE.com, but if he does get used again, I'm sure he'll be looking at the lights for the talents of such greats like Alex Riley and David Otunga. I'm glad I'm not alone in my disdain for Ring of Honor. It's amazing what a difference just a few years can make.
-
I can not, for the life of me, get into Ring of Honor anymore. They had an iPPV last night (Death Before Dishonor IX) and just, ugh, I hate like the entire roster. I am not entirely sure what has changed in the company the last couple of years (sans the roster), but I have not liked most of the stuff that I have seen since about 2005 when James Gibson was ROH champion and they still had Austin Aries, Samoa Joe, Homicide, American Dragon & Low Ki working together. I don't know, man, but I just can't get into The All-Night Express, Roderick Strong, Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards in comparison. Well, I guess I do know what it is. It's the "fake-epic" matches and the overly-smarky crowds. Then you throw in fuckin' Davey Richards being a wannabe Chris Benoit with kickpads and it's like everything I hate about U.S. wrestling all rolled into one ball with Jim Cornette trying to tell me it's the only "real" wrestling out there. Fuck you.

I was coming in here solely to name-drop Tito too. I kind of feel like he is an unsung hero in the babyface department, as he's always overlooked in favor of Steamboat and Morton. Santana took massive beatings though. His selling of certain moves made it look like he was straight dead. See his match with Barbarian at Wrestlemania VI.

Thinking more about this topic, I sort of wish that I was born earlier than '81. I grew up watching a lot of really amazing workers, like DiBiase, Hennig & Rude, but I was really too young to enjoy them. I was just a mark kid and wanted the good guys to win. So while we have these ridiculously good, once-in-a-lifetime workers running around, I'm just hoping for Hogan and Warrior to win, or Jake to pull out Damien. I think I even cheered for Brutus the Barber. Going back and watching old stuff, I see how good people like Adrian Adonis, Butch Reed and Bad News Brown were and it just makes me sad. At least I appreciated Piper and Savage back then, I suppose. I underrated a lot of people, like Rick Martel, Tito Santana, Greg Valentine & Ricky Steamboat. The more I have learned; the more I have watched over the years, I did not realize how good I had it with those rosters growing up.

After reading the police report, the articles it links to and having experience with my drug-abusing father, it sounds like he was fucked up on Xanax.

Mostly a garbage worker whose best stuff was falling of high places. As a regular worker, he kinda sucked, with an awkward indyrific offense he seemed to have borrowed from Nova. Thought it was a good idea to imitate Goldberg's spear despite looking tall and gangly, hence the shittiest regular spear ever. Was funny with Christian as goofballs, but sucked on promos whenever it was supposed to be serious. Stupid facials... hum... don't care for him very much. Ya know, I wasn't sure exactly what the consensus on Edge was going to be, but this is how I feel too. He's probably one of the most overrated wrestlers, at least recently, that I can think of. Literally unless the match is some sort of hardcore and/or ladder match, I don't care at all. Even then, it was mostly just to see the next contrived "holy shit!" spot and see if Edge and his opponent managed to get back up again. He was a good midcard comedy act but outside of that, he was kinda terrible. Not like Great Khali terrible, but I don't think he's Hall of Fame material. I guess I feel like the criteria has to change over the years. Kayfabe accomplishments in a worked business it not a real strong indicator.

Staph infection? Probably from the JCW show. Ha!

Mark Henry: Was a pretty boring hoss the majority of his career, but he has been money lately. His work still leaves a lot to be desired, but his character has been great. Bret Hart: I used to think he was a great worker, and he still probably is if I go back and watch a lot of his stuff, but two things have really soured me on him: 1. His coming back recently. Especially his build-up and match with Vince McMahon. 2. It was pointed out to me that Bret never closes his mouth when he wrestles, like he's constantly gasping for air. Now I can't unsee it and it completely distracts me. Rob Van Dam: When I first got into ECW, I thought RVD was the best I had ever seen. Mostly because they were beating me over the head and telling me that he was the best I had ever seen. His garbage brawls were fresh and new at the time, I had never really seen table spots before, so it was all new and cool to me. I was also a lot younger. I can't even sit through one of his matches anymore. I can watch a lot of older stuff, early Stan Hansen, or whatever. I can even watch old ECW stuff from that era, and a lot of it holds up. Like Tajiri, Super Crazy, Little Guido...but man, RVD is the drizzling shits. He can't talk, he does nothing but spots, his matches are just stalling, taunting and setting up for the next spot. Then they throw in a bunch of 2-counts (from EVERYTHING) to make the match feel "special." Jim Duggan: This is a big one because for many years he was just "that retard" in WWF. Now that I've seen a lot more of his shit, the dude could go. Some of the better punches I've ever seen. His Mid-South stuff that I've seen is pretty damn good. Even some of his later WCW work wasn't bad. Namely a throwaway match with Goldberg and some Saturday Night (or maybe it was the Sunday morning) stuff. I think Duggan is really underrated now.

Edge is really weird to me. It's like, he's done a lot in wrestling, WWE threw a lot of accolades on him, and he had a pretty lengthy career. According to Wikipedia, he had 31 titles in his 14 year WWE career. Won the Royal Rumble, Money in the Bank & King of the Ring. But he just never felt to me like he was that big of a star, really. He didn't feel like a Steve Austin type main eventer but he was an 11-time world champion. He had some decent matches but I always thought he excelled in gimmick matches where he could rely on props, like ladders. In normal matches, he felt exceptionally bland to me. I don't know anything about his drawing power, but I don't really think anyone in WWE is ever put in a position to draw anymore just based on how WWE markets the brand name not the talent. I don't know, maybe it's just too early, but I think "a borderline pick" kind of sums it up perfectly. I would be perfectly fine with him either making it or not and I think arguments could be make strongly on both sides of the fence. What do you guys think of Edge?

I can't help but laugh every time Matt Hardy does something stupid. It is more entertaining to me than the WWE product.

This is incredible. I know what I'm doing the rest of the night! Thanks a lot, man. I didn't realize how stacked & jacked their roster was!

"This is Phil Brooks talking to Paul Levesque!" I hate this angle.
-
Yeah, I too loved that heel run. Him just slapping anyone and everyone in the Crossface Chickenwing. It was pretty impressionable on me too. I put my social studies teach in the Chickenwing. Ha! Him coming out in a suit with a bow-tie really put over how batshit crazy his character was too. Little things like that make all the difference.

Backlund wrestled this year for that crappy JCW Legend show. He's still in pretty good shape, honestly. Granted he had to work Ken Patera, whom can't even move... Backlund looks better than pretty much every other wrestler his age. So he's doing something right. Now, another run in him at a top level? Naw. He seems legit crazy.

You mean like the anonymous RAW GM? Sometimes I think the best option is to just end it and hope no one notices. That shit ruined at least a year of programming.
-
Ya know, it's not just Angle either. A lot of wrestlers on the road do stupid shit like this. If you watch any shoot interviews, you know what I'm talking about. Listen to Kevin Nash tell stories about riding with Rick Rude. Or the Outsiders shoot when they were trying to get into Canada. Kurt gets caught, but he is not at any more fault than the rest of them. It needs to be wiped out period, not just in the case of Angle. That's why the "oh, it's just this business!" is such bullshit. It's like an excuse to condone rampant drug and alcohol abuse. The easiest solution I can think of? A lot less travel...but obviously that wouldn't stop things, just make them less frequent.

Cody Rhodes can't promo to save his life. He had no clue who Ron "Meta World Peace" Artest was either. He lives in a bubble.

So, after all of that shit, two-years running pretty much, Hardy serves 10 days in jail? Wow.
