Fenix/Dante: Pretty decent match. I’ll never like any spot where the wrestlers stand around & wait for crowd approval - and the commercial break hurt the flow early too. It was still entertaining & I liked the finish.

Is Jericho referring to himself as The Wizard so he can feud with Danhausen next to try to leech some of his heat?
-
…they’re making Hangman the heel in this match?

Old school booking still works, baby! Wardog is mad over!

Jeff Hardy moves like the last time I saw The Undertaker.

Four of the last five weeks (I had to work last Wednesday), I've watched AEW Dynamite live with my fiancée. It's become a tradition for us. It's a lot of fun! Looking forward to the show again tonight. Fenix Vs. Martin should be a good spot fest. I think Jeff Hardy is over-the-hill, so I'm not expecting a lot out of him against Fish, but you never know. Deonna Purrazzo on AEW will be fun to see.

The amount of people that complain about graphics & lack of roster size is crazy to me. The one & only thing that really matters is if the game is fun to play. If the games looks beautiful & has 600 wrestlers but plays like shit, who gives a fuck? 50 people is plenty. We don't really need every single jobber having their own character anyway. Right now, from the trailers I've seen, the game looks very early in development but I heard it was supposed to come out this year? That can't be right. Also, don't read the comments on that NoDQ article. Talk about people having an agenda... goddamn.

I lost all interest in her when she seemed to care more about getting a good match rating from Dave Meltzer. This was a pretty good week of Dynamite though. I've watched the last three weeks live on TV with my fiancé because I'm off on Wednesdays now. So far, she has liked Samoa Joe & Jade Cargill & she hates HOOK. Said he looks like a pouting teenager that doesn't get his way from his mom lmfao. It drives me crazy how he puts on the Tazmission almost as an after thought instead of making it seem like more of a bigger deal. I dunno. The Punk/Dustin match was a lot of fun. I really bought into the near fall after the Piledriver. Dustin's selling of his knee was great. I really liked fired up Ethan Page's promo, too. The main event needed more time, I feel, which was wasted on the Britt promo & the Sammy/Tay segment getting too much time imo. I like Regal's stable. The HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT meant nothing to me. I dig Wardlow. I like The Butcher too - great look. Danhausen reminds me of Sammy Terry - but I don't know if he was just a midwest thing or if he's more famous than that. He was a host of old cable access b-movies back in the day. Kind of like what Elvira did only without the sex appeal lol. Give me The Butcher Vs. Brody King in a hoss vs. hoss match!

That's what the overrun was? The shit Meltzer was talking about? Set your DVRs to make sure you don't miss the shitty AEW version of Great Khali. Yeah, buddy...

Control Your Narrative: when you totally get Fight Club

The whole CYN "promotion" is just going to provide an easy checklist for wrestlers to not hire/pay attention to for everyone else. -
This is a fair take.

If Dax keeps this up, he might get some WOTY votes, not just Tag Team of the Year votes.

I would say it was all downhill after Chris Candido passed away but that's not even true. She was a trainwreck before he passed away. Even their relationship wasn't healthy by all indications. She just doesn't seem to be a good person & it's a shame because Candido was seemingly great. Certainly was a good worker/entertainer. Before his untimely death he was even super entertaining in TNA. Jim Cornette in the past has talked about Synch when she was young & first broke into the business & that she was decent in Smoky Mountain? I think that's where but correct me if I'm wrong there. She was for sure a total smokeshow in her WWF run... but I don't know if it was the substances or what but she really took a very unfortunate turn. She was even a pretty good talker. I would say she needs help but she's needed help for a long time. All the previous DUI's & arrests. The adult movie she made for Vivid. At this point, prison might be her best option. Otherwise she'll just make another shoot interview throwing everyone under the bus, spend the shoot money on booze and then get arrested for another DUI. Shame it got to this point where now someone has died. Damn shame.

Good show. Hart/Shida was the drizzling shits but the main event more than made up for it. The Christian match was really good too.
-
I dig Veer. Great look.

It's a terrible look & business-exposing, but at this point probably doesn't matter anymore. Like how much more can the business be exposed anyway? And it was on an indie show that really only die-hards will ever watch, so ultimately, easily forgettable/ignorable. But yes, stupid.

WWE TV 03/21 - 03/27 Omos is the true heir to Andre the Giant

I would love to see AEW bring in someone like Cara Noir, someone that would make people pay attention that they wouldn't immediately recognize as someone from recent WWE TV.

This is the most cold I can remember WWE ever being heading into Wrestlemania. There's like... zero buzz. It's almost like they damn near don't even exist anymore. Triple H almost died & did an interview with Stephen A. Smith. Stone Cold Steve Austin is coming back. The Undertaker is going into the Hall of Fame. Ronda Rousey is back. Brock Lesnar Vs. Roman Reigns... ...and it's like no one even blinks. -
Not only kickstarted the whole nWo angle in WCW but was also in the first aired Ladder match in WWF too, right? And I think he even came up with The Crow gimmick for Sting. His fingerprints are all over wrestling. AND he was responsible for ending the Goldberg streak in kayfabe too with the taser during Starrcade.

AEW does have some hosses now but they need a One Man Gang, Yokozuna, Kamala or Earthquake kind of hoss. Keith Lee is probably the closest but my mans is out there doing leap frog spots & shit. They just need a giant base that can overpower/dominate dudes and let the smaller wrestlers pinball off of. It would give AEW another match dynamic that they don't really currently have. It would help with a lot of the formulaic layout of the shows I feel.
-
Very obviously the big disconnect is the huge time in between then & now. Like, people got when Seth Rollins just came out to The Shield music against Roman. But that was the same company & it wasn't that long ago. Punk came out to his old theme from a different company from like 15 years ago. Seems like the whole Twitter ordeal is really being blown out of proportion though.

I feel like Regal is going to be a really big difference maker for AEW. Not even for an on-camera role but because of how much he'll provide to the locker room. What a big get by AEW.
-
I'm super Cody Vs. Seth will be a perfectly fine match but man, on paper, that does nothing for me at all.

They're trying to basically make laws against trans children/teens & wanting to investigate the parents & penalize health professionals. Making medical treatments a form of child abuse. There's a lot more to it & that's just a quick, rough gist of it but it's very fucked up. https://www.bu.edu/articles/2022/latest-texas-anti-transgender-directive-explained/
