Sami getting the Honorary Uce shirt was a moment. The male models crack me up. They remind me of the ex-boyfriends from Letterkenny that the sister dated for awhile that just ran themselves down verbally the whole time.

I know for whatever reason that AEW have an obsession with Wheeler Yuta and Daniel Garcia & that the Wheeler segment was really just a vessel for MJF coming out. That being said, Wheeler getting that segment & Miro not even making the show really pisses me off.

I don't dislike Stokely but to me, he's a lesser version of Prince Nana. Too much trying to be funny & trying to appeal to social media.

King Kong Bundy rollin' in his grave! Honestly, both sides look bad & handled this very unprofessionally. Which, pro-wrestlers aren't always going to be the most professional employees to begin with but I feel it looks worse for people in a position of power. I also think it looks/sounds bad that C.M. Punk had his own locker room to begin with but I guess that's a moot point. I also have no idea why Ace Steele was even there/around - he didn't need to be there for the angle & most people didn't know who the fuck he was. This whole thing is a mess & everyone involved looks worse - including Tony Khan at the media scrum just sitting there making stupid faces in disbelief.

They do this with every gimmick match and it's infuriating! Nothing drove me more crazy than having a pay-per-view on the schedule called Hell in a Cell where you knew there was going to be a cell match, often times with two people just for the fuck of it, not because it called for it. To quote Cornette, "Laaaaaazy booking."

You're correct, that's an error on my part there. Sucker punch, not cheap shot... but they mean the same thing.

More recently, I also noticed the wording when Dave Meltzer was talking about the locker room incident making sure to say that C.M. Punk threw a "cheap shot" - using that phrase caught my eye, for sure. That's not unbiased reporting, that's trying to paint a narrative. Because Meltzer wants to defend his "friends."

I feel the same way about Drew McIntyre. Honestly, a lot of my disinterest in WWE since the CoVid era really, has been that I don't like a lot of the people that they were using: Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley, Kevin Owens... I just don't care about them, at all. Not even a little bit. I don't want to see them on television at all. For awhile, I really only cared about Roman Reigns & Brock Lesnar. The top of the card felt really bleak. I don't honestly care about most of the women either. I am not interested in Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, Ronda Rousey, Bianca Belair or Becky Lynch main events. I like Gunther, Bron Breakker, Sheamus still - but the WWE roster feels weak to me. Edge? Austin Theory? Judgment Day? Fuck outta here.

Naw, Bobby is thriving where he's at. I'd keep him there. Same with Drew McIntyre - if they didn't pull the trigger at the Castle, that was their best shot.

Man, that segment with The Firm was brutal. The women's tag wasn't much better - felt like they botched the finish. I don't know if Athena was supposed to stop Baker during the chair set-up or what but something got fucked up.

It would be really interesting to see what direction AEW would go in if CM Punk & The Elite all left the company. They would still have FTR & The Acclaimed in the tag division. Still have Danielson, Jericho, Moxley & Sting as the big names. Still a ton of talent & young stars. It wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world…

I'm in the camp that until someone else is main event over, might as well keep the title on Roman Reigns. If they pulled the trigger on Drew at the Castle that would have been OK because the crowd was so hot but since he lost there, I feel Drew is out of the equation. Putting it on The Rock would accomplish nothing & make the entire Reigns reign feel like it was for nothing. It doesn't help The Rock or anyone on the roster & then he would just leave again. That's like the worst case scenario. Cody winning it would work only if when Cody returns he's still super over. That's the most important thing to me, it needs to go to someone that is over. We don't need another Cena scenario where he's the top babyface & half or more of the crowd are vocally booing him, you know? I think, like others have said, Cody - if available - will turn out to be the best option but I also don't hate the Rex Steiner idea. Giving a new, young guy a big rub that could help make him & give you a big name/star for multiple years going forward is what WWE should be looking for right now. It's Triple H's show now though, so we'll probably get Karrion Kross or Johnny Gargano instead.

If there's one guy that AEW absolutely needs to drop from the roster, it's Jake Hager. Even Bryan Danielson can't make anyone give a fuck about that guy. Just total black hole of charisma & entertainment.

Make Miro the AEW World Champion. Then feud him with Bryan Danielson, Claudio, & Moxley then give Miro a tag partner, like Brody King or Darby Allin & feud with FTR. I could die happy.
