  1. Just copied and pasted a quick poorly written review from SSS16 from Bank Holiday weekend.... I thought day 1 was actually the better card top to bottom. Haskin-Dunne was great, even better knowing the condition Haskins was in. Bit late to the Progress party, but the Haskins story being played out over the pass few months has been great, I'm assuming he would of just followed Andrews route to the final and then go on to face Whiplash this weekend, so hopefully he's back and continuing that, he's match with Scrull a few months ago was great story telling. Chris Hero proved yet again why he's probably one of the best in the world at the moment. He had 3 different matches with 3 different types of wrestlers over the weekend and all were fantastic. His match with Mark Andrews deserves all the plaudits it's getting, great little man vs big man match, the big man match with Big Daddy Walters was a great big man match, but probably 3rd of his matches this weekend, and then the storyline driven match with Tommy End in a hard hitting match. Hero's Morishima-esque body type and aura just adds so much more than how he used to be, in my opinion. Hero Vs Villian, should sell itself, don't smell a title change unfortunately, but haven't finished Evolves shows this weekend so he might be coming in as Evolve champion anyway. Zack Gibson grows on me show by show, and really liked his match with Kenny Williams. Never been a fan of Callian, like his work but not his gimmick so have trouble looking pass that, haven't seen Matt Cross since his Resilience days, outside of his look, still does his same old shtick and does it very well. And the Riots and Orgin was a well done brawl with lots of twists and turns and great to finish of London Riots rise to the titles over the pass few months following th SDS stuff. And Jack Gallagher is an awesome throwback and his day 2 he had a really good match with Gibson.
  2. Just watching the Full Impact show from this weekend, I think Rob Naylor has referenced nearly 200 wrestlers who aren't even on the show, slightly annoying...
  3. Left side looks decent, if Hero goes to the final he's got some great potential matches en route...
  4. Shame about Cody, one of my favourite E matches in the last few years was Cody and Goldust tag title win against the Shield, actually the whole little died was fantastic. Although I don't think he could of been a main event met he did have the ability to draw people in as Cody and could of been a decent upper mid card face/heel. I do wonder what's next for him though?
  5. Then Zabre finally defeats Hero and takes the title, it all falls into place. Starting to sound obsessed with my theory now. But I agree, These two shows already looked stacked. EC 3 open challenge also sounds great, Catch Point title defence can't be anything but great.
  6. Finished up this weekends show and both were great. Some random thoughts... - Marty Scrull is awesome at his gimmick as "The Villian". All the little bits he adds to the match from the eye poking to the finger break are all great and adds to his character. Both his matches this weekend were great, with the Zabre match edging it over Gargano for me. Great to see him get a title shot at the July show. - I'll have to agree with what everyone is saying about Fred Yehi and Lio Rush on Twitter, both are great youngster, and I think would make an awesome super team down the road. Yehi is just punishing in everything he does, and always looks for the stomp to break up play. I saw somewhere someone describe Rush as someone who should be one of thebest flyers in the business by the end of the year and I'd have to agree. - The Zack Sabre Jr booking is just intriguing me more and more, he completed his best in the World Series, but hit a wall in the last two matches and then again this week after all the hype. I can see a frustration storyline set in where he leaves and returns down the road, it reminds me a lot of the Danielson story before he left to return and beat Gibson for the title. I could see Zabre going away for a few months to really become the best in the world and coming back, overturning Hero finally and winning the world title from whoever is champion at the time. Zabre-Hero and Srcull both excellent matches. - Moving onto the world title, Evolve have done a great job at lining up challengers for Thatcher when he returns, Hero, Riddle, Gulak and Scrull. I can see Thatcher coming out on top of redemption storyline with Catch Point and retaining against Hero and Scrull. To me like I said above, I fully see Zabre being the next champion, and quite happy for Thatcher to hold it until then. Although I'm not a great fan of different Catch Point members carrying the belt around. - The closing angle was great, I've always been a fan of EC3 heel work in TNA from what I've seen, although I don't see it lasting long, but it's already given the Florida double shot a fantastic starting point and the Non-Sanction tag match should be blinding.
  7. Pumped for this weekend shows, both cards are stacked. Ordered both shows and really looking forward to watching these over the next couple of days. With the Cruiserweight Classic qualifiers, this seems like a real break out weekend for Evolve.
  8. Perfect, thank you.
  9. Probably seems a silly question, but want to order both Evolve shows this weekend, I saw on Twitter you could get a Freelance show free also, how do I go about that? Getting the free show that is..
  10. Like I said in the other thread, just signed up for the service, half way through the Manchester and I have to say I'm well involved with the show, and enjoying it a lot.
  11. I would say Highspots as most of the others are almost all exclusively tied to one promotion. I decided to subscribe to Progress, watched a load of there previews video and decided to take the plunge on them. Anyone know the best place to start? I started just at the beginning of 2016, it's not a bad place with the surge of Scurll building to his title match. When I signed up Pete said to start with the tournament from the previous summer, but I didn't have the time. That might be a good place. Think I'm going to start at the beginning of the year, and then go back to the beginning of last year.

  13. Probably the best place to ask, but what's the best "catch all" streaming site for indie stuff? Highspots looks decent but wanted to make sure I'm not missing a trick?
  14. Just finished up both of the Dallas show, and for someone who hasn't watched any evolve stuff since their first couple of shows I really enjoyed watching them and fully on board with the product. Some general thoughts... Although I've not seen the Supershow, I love the way Thatcher is booked, reminds me of when Danielson was at mid point of his reign in ROH and was weathered, but ultimately still coming out on top (I'm thinking of the Cabana/McGuiness weekend). But I think his reign will come to an end probably in the summer, due to being worn down by the schedule so to speak. Chris Hero is just an absolute star and booked like one, he is the measuring stick for all the up and comers and plays the role fantastically. And I'm fine with his look, if he keep at the level he was this weekend. I agree with everyone else when it comes to Matt Riddle, the guy is a star in the making and would get over massively in the WWE, he just has an aura where you know he could hurt anyone. The match of the weekend bar the Supershow which I'll watch over the course of the week, has got to be Sabre vs Ospreay. Ospreay is going to be very good, but Sabre is just there for me, I loved everything he did, I wouldn't be surprised if he was being lined up as Thatchers successor. The only opportunity I could see was the stuff outside of the matches, the ending of 59 wasn't as slick as I think a show ending angle should be similar to the opening of 58, other than that, really looking forward to 60 & 61.
  15. Guys, looks like I'm going to have to drop out. Just can't get into the groove of writing shows, it just isn't interesting me at the moment. Keep up the good work, and maybe I'll be back down the road.
  16. Southeastern/Fuller - After several weeks of little or no news we have reviewed some updates from Southeastern. So we have a bit of a big update for you. - The fall out of the WTBS deal has clearly hit the territory hard, with so much investment into talent, it's caused a major money issue and several top earners have left the territory, most notably Buddy Landell, The Rock n Roll Express, The Heavenly Bodies and Jim Cornette, Adrian Street, Bill Dundee and a few others. Over the pass few weeks they have all finished up there dates. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the guys all came back in at some point when money issues have passed as they all like the area and the travel schedule. - Southeastern has also quietly left the AWA, there is no ill feeling between Verne Gagne and Ron Fuller, Fuller just felt he just needed a fresh start after the whole WTBS fiasco. It's believed with Crockett and the NWA going strong, Southeastern could be back with the NWA before long although they have had some interest showed from the newly formed USWA which they are mulling over. Fuller and Jarrett have a great working relationship. - With the Heavenly Bodies being the tag champs they recently dropped the titles to the now face team of The Nightmares. Danny Davis and Ken Wayne have been having excellent matches with the relatively new team of Mike Davis and Tommy Lane over the titles in the past few weeks. Tommy Lane and Mike Davis are taking credit for Robert Gibson and Ricky Morton leaving the territory and are now calling themselves the Rock N Roll RPMs. - Robert Fuller returned to avenge being put out of action by Buddy Landell and his stable by winning the National Heavyweight title and then a week later unifying it with the Southeastern title from "Bullet" Bob Armstrong, when a mystery masked man stopped Armstrong from cheating. These two have been feuding over this title (now simply known as the Southeastern Heavyweight Title) for the last month. The Masked Man hasn't been seen since. - The top feud in the territory seems to be the face Studd Stable of Robert Fuller, Jimmy Golden and The Monoglian Stomper versus "Bullet" Bob along with The Flame and Phil Hickerson. - The Assassins have returned feuding with The Lightening Express Brad Armstrong and Tim Horner. These two teams along with the RPMs and Nightmares have been inter locking in matches around the horn. - Roy Lee Welch has been left Big Bubba Lynch as he's bodyguard as he took out an injunction against Ken Lucas following their blood feud. Roy Lee Welch broke the terms of his injunction by attacking Lucas in a 2 on 1 attack. Only for a returning Eric Embry to save Lucas. These 4 man have been feuding. - Eric Embry is the only one from the Landell Hollywood Blonde team left, he has since turned face and aligned himself with Alabama Legend Ken Lucas. - Brad Armstrong managed to be the first wrestler to complete the "Beat the Champ" Television Champion only to just come up short against Buddy Landell. The current "Beat the Champ" Television Championship is held by Brads younger brother Scott Armstrong who has defeated The Masked Yankee and Assassin #2 and is 2/5 in his quest. - The current format of television has been Charlie Platt and Rick Stewart with Les Thatcher being used as an onscreen match maker for the territory. - With the exodus of stars a lot of young talent have had to up their position in the promotion, most notably Tracey Smothers and Steve Armstrong have been teaming, The Masked Midnights (Shawn Michaels & Marty Jannetty), The Masked Yankee (Steve Lombardi), "Toy Boy" Tony Falk and the Devils Duo, Jeff Sword and Doug Vines.

  19. Ill be posting up a Dirt Sheet like catch up post and then getting back into shows over the next fortnight. Thanks for time off....
  20. I dont know who picked him up, but Ill be releasing Ken Timb's and picking up Bill Ash.
  21. As long as Detriot is happy with not picking anyone up?
  22. I don't mind how you guys work it out. As silly as it sounds, I'll be happy to get rid for a period of time. Does that leave Ken Timbs and Adrian Street homeless?
  23. I'm happy to keep them, people wouldn't need to drop roster, it's a loan after all...
  24. So I've decided that with the current talent I don't want to use but may bring back down the road, the fairest way is too do a draft for all the talent, where they will go on loan for a 3 month rolling contract, so if I want them back in then I could do after 3 months, or 6 etc. The talent involved will be... Rock N Roll Express (as a pair) Heavenly Bodies w/ Jim Cornette (as a trio) Adrian Street Bill Dundee Buddy Landell Baby Doll Ken Timbs Let me know what you guys think?
