If Baba could be faulted for anything as a booker, it was his tendency to play a pat hand for too long in the absence of external pressure. Come to think of it, the formation of SWS had to be the ultimate blessing in disguise. Not only did it provide the impetus for Misawa's main event push, it allowed Kawada and Kobashi to move up the ranks much faster than they would have with the likes of Yoshiaki Yatsu and The Great Kabuki clogging up the midcard.
