  1. How mutually intelligible are Brazilian Portuguese and European Portuguese? I think I heard once that they're pretty far apart, kind of like Quebec French vs. European French.
  2. Wouldn't he have a green card by virtue of being married to an American citizen?
  3. In most years, turning mass firings into an angle would be a shoo-in for Most Disgusting Promotional Tactic. The way this year is going, it might not even make top ten. We've certainly come a long way from the days of "Bob Backlund as WWF Champion" winning the award.
  4. Of all the entities to observe Blackout Tuesday...
  5. The good news with Ryker is that guys who have no respect in the locker room tend to flame out sooner rather than later. When he does something that pisses off management, he'll have no one to back him up.
  6. Dave wrote back in 2008 that WWE's system was creating a bunch of Ted DiBiases but no Junkyard Dogs or Jim Duggans (the Mid-South versions of all three, obviously) for them to play off of. Since then, the problem has only gotten worse.
  7. WWE has become TNA. In more ways than one.
  8. It's no different from any other sport. Plenty of players and even a few coaches have spoken out even though most of the owners are Trump boosters.
  9. Don't be a Brandi. Be a Cody.
  10. Even WWE lickspittle Ryan Satin is dunking on them for it.
  11. NOAH's Kaito Kiyomiya challenged Okada to a match at the end of their most recent show. Grandstand challenges are obviously nothing new, but they usually take place in magazines and not on shows. A lot of people have been calling for a supershow with all the major promotions once everything opens back up, and if one takes place, that would be one of the marquee matches.
  12. In case anyone has been wondering where Nigel McGuinness has been, it turns out he was one of the guys furloughed.
  13. Your career self-immolation of the week:
  14. Orton said that the better man won at Mania but the better wrestler didn't, and to prove it, he challenged Edge to a Straight-Up Wrestling Match at Backlash.
  15. It's possible, but I find it hard to believe that someone would choose Impact over AEW.
  16. I'm quite surprised that AEW seemingly didn't make a play for either her or Drew Gulak. Maybe Tony Khan just isn't a fan of technical wrestling.
  17. Yeah, the only thing distinctively ethnic about the Kabuki Warriors is their name. They're basically Japanese IIconics. It's for that reason that the gimmick has go-away heat with me, but that's neither here nor there.
  18. Well, of course. You can't have The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever in an empty arena.
  19. Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins, Ali, and Elias are all basically palette swaps of each other.
  20. What a shame for Sammy Guevara that he didn't make the cut and missed out on the opportunity to spend months at the Performance Center doing forward rolls and being yelled at by Lacey Evans.
  21. I don't think they can be prosecuted since ex post facto laws are prohibited by the Japanese constitution. That doesn't mean they can't face social consequences for their actions, though.
  22. Cinematic wrestling needs to die.
  23. I popped for the Batman reference.
  24. Every other competitor teaming up to take someone out is a hell of a way to get a newcomer over.
  25. FUCKING MOTHER FUCKERRRRR
