I'm worried this is a prelude to Jacobs trying to Q-pill the locker room.

This year just keeps getting stranger.

When it rains, it pours. Was it from the elbow drop at Full Gear? Even if it wasn't, that was in all likelihood the dumbest bump in history. Even dumber than Joe's dropkick on the steps.

According to Cagematch, Jade has had 64 matches in her career. She's only had four singles matches go longer than ten minutes, and the longest went 11:41. You simply can't develop as a worker with that little ring time.

TK has clearly learned nothing and continues to exert as much authority over the locker room as a substitute homeroom teacher.

Apparently, the talent in the main event was clued in beforehand. Seth's reaction was a work but Drew's was legitimate. I don't know what's gong on there, but Punk/Drew would likely bang hard. So would Punk/Seth, honestly. More than anything, though, give me Punk/Gunther and I'll be a happy man. And I know everyone is expecting a blow-up at some point, but part of me thinks he really wants to get voted into the Observer HOF and he needs a run in the big leagues where he remains on his best behavior to get him over the hump. I don't why else he would go back to WWE when he doesn't need the money or the headaches.

It should be noted that Walton was pretty much marking out by the end of the 1983 Dynamite Kid/Marty Jones match, calling it "a hell of a bout." And that was as much of a clear-cut heel/babyface contest as you'll find anywhere.

Not gonna lie, that Mark Rocco promo at 6:43 was straight fire.

It'll be interesting to see how this plays out. It isn't a WWE production, so there shouldn't be the kind of revisionist history seen in company-produced documentaries on the subject. On the other hand, Dwayne may have his own axes to grind since he's likely been exposed to his share of company groupthink about big bad Ted Turner trying to put the WWF out of business. Also, I'm somewhat skeptical that the producers will be able to avoid being buffaloed by the likes of Bischoff and Russo.

Matt Riddle proved he's the smartest man in wrestling by getting fired before Orton could turn on him.

It seems likelier to me that the old friend is Randy Orton.

MJF got the win after a low blow and using the diamond ring as a weapon. That's as protected as Jay White needs to be. He's a heel, he doesn't need to look strong or credible in defeat. I enjoyed the main event for the most part. My problem with Jay's matches as a whole is how formless they are. I don't get much of a sense of build or escalation, it's just a bunch of stuff happening until the finish. I also find his offensive repertoire to be rather dull. Having MJF's injured leg as a target mitigated both of those tendencies to a large degree. It absolutely did not need to go 30, but it also didn't feel quite that long, so I'll give them that.

From a business standpoint, the fact that Billy Robinson chose to work in Memphis, which was notorious for being one of the lowest-paying US territories, rather than Europe kind of says it all. Also, calling current WWE an extension of New York wrestling feels like a stretch to me. Two of the defining features of modern WWE are dominant heel champions and increased emphasis on workrate and smaller wrestlers, which are the antitheses of traditional New York booking.

Ospreay might legitimately be my least favorite wrestler of all time, at least among the ones who are considered good. I could safely ignore him when he was confined to Japan and Impact, but my interest in AEW will wane significantly if he becomes a major part of the product. On the other hand, I'm pretty sure the only Ospreay match I've ever liked was with Orange Cassidy at Forbidden Door, so maybe I'll find him more tolerable if he's working with the likes of Christian and Darby.

I was under the impression that Australia and Japan were the major business hot spots in the 1960s. Those were the areas that had the pick of the litter when it came to bringing in top talent.

The interesting thing about Ishii is that he didn't place in the top 30 in either the active or retired wrestler voter categories. That suggests he doesn't have anywhere near the level of respect among his peers you would expect from someone whose candidacy is based entirely on working ability.

HOF issue just dropped. Rocca/Perez, the Beauty Pair, Slaughter, the Briscos, Ishii, Panther, and Kidd got in. The Dinamitas, Orndorff, the Bucks, Bobby Davis, and Roman all received over 50 percent of the vote as well. Some people here will surely be thrilled to know that El Dandy will be added to next year's ballot. On the other hand, Big Daddy is finally being dropped due to the 15 year/50 percent rule.

Big news for brother @El-P: Hopefully France's favorite son Baron Corbin will be in the main event.

Maybe there's a post-credits scene Kevin didn't stick around for where Fritz is on his deathbed and the sanitized story in the movie was a hallucination caused by his brain tumor.

When the numbers are that high, that usually means at least one tag team got inducted, which I take to mean Rocca/Torres likely got voted in. Roman seems like a likely candidate as well. Who else?

It was Glenn Danzig's band after he left the Misfits. That's what you found, right? I find it hard to believe that even Corgan would be that stupid. Footage of PPV events is preserved after they go off the air, so CW executives would easily be aware of what happened on one even if they didn't watch it live.

One major potential stumbling block is the fact that Mania weekend usually falls during Ramadan.

They always could've said they were in Scranton, which people at least know from The Office. Speaking of Ivar's moonsault, Ricochet wasn't supposed to kick out. It was supposed to be a double pin, which is why the post-match was so awkward. He apparently got knocked loopy earlier in the match and was on autopilot. I should note that Miz actually looked really good in the match or at least in the YouTube highlights. Seriously, check it out.
