  1. Is every match going 20+ tonight?
  2. Yeah the women have their work cut out for them turning around the culture of main roster women's matches. However, I've seen plenty of main roster women's matches get enough time to do something good this year, and I'd say less than 20% of those matches were any good at all. AJ got plenty of time, and routinely shit out crappy matches. Paige has had a bunch of ppv matches that got decent time and couldn't do anything with it. I feel pretty confident in saying the success rate is going to up when you put the new NXT callups in those situations. This year on ppv the women's matches have got 8:04, 4:34, 6:42, 9:18, 6:13, 6:04, 7:03, and 11:18 The women's matches on the NXT specials have went 12:54, 16:49, 10:40, 12:12, 12:28, and 15:33 I honestly think they'll get the extra 4 minutes or so to do their thing once they start showing the 7 minutes they're being given isn't a complete waste of time.
  3. I actually thought Tamina looked pretty good in the ring at the Beast in the East show. Regarding Cesaro's push I absolutely love the guy bell to bell, but in his current gimmick he's not a main eventer. Now if they brought back Zeb to talk for him we'd be on to something.
  4. Paige and Sasha are the two youngest wrestlers on the main roster I think we should give them a few years before judging weather or not they can be game changers. Paige was clearly overhyped before making her main roster debut, but Sasha, Becky, and Charlotte all coming in at once should give the division a good boost in quality. It takes time for workers to win over the main roster audience. Bryan was the best guy on the planet and it still took him a few years to get over.
  5. Paige has never impressed me outside of the Emma matches. Every time I've seen Paige in the ring with Nikki I've thought Nikki was the better of the two. I saw a match in NXT between Sasha and Paige where Sasha was still doing her generic face stuff, and it was clear Sasha was the better of the two in that match. Paige has really bad timing from what I've seen of her work. I just think she got overhyped much like AJ.
  6. Yeah the word was he was impressed, and ordered Charlotte be added to the Tap Out commercial right after that.
  7. I like that Sasha is with the heels. They needed someone on that side to carry the workload, and it puts her opposite her two best rivals in Charlotte and Becky. Sasha should be able to drag something decent out of Paige as well.
  8. Sasha has been my favorite all around act in the WWE for about 8 months now. I think it's obvious HHH has a lot of confidence in the NXT women that are coming up. The segment on Raw got over really well so despite the cluttered nature of it I thought it came off pretty well. The main roster women have been given plenty of chances this year, but most of the matches that got time were mediocre matches with AJ, Paige, and NIkki, or botch fests involving Naomi. If they start giving Sasha, Becky, and Charlotte some 8-10 minute matches I think Vince will start to change his mind when the performers actually deliver.

    WWE TV 7/6 - 7/12

Cena's current run reminds me of Austin in 01. Austin was having all these outstanding matches with the talented newcomers, and then the next year he just didn't have it. Cena is the same age Austin was in 01 he may not have anything as bad as Austin's neck injury, but the wear and tear has to be piling up. I think I'd back him off the gas pedal, and let the younger guys work 20 minute tv matches every week.

Another thing is that the ending was never in doubt. Cesaro had the upper hand last week when the match ended so you knew that Cena was going to have to get one up on him this week. Plus there's no way they would put the belt on Cesaro a week before a heavily hyped third match between Cena and Owens on ppv. I thought the match started rough about 10 minutes in I was saying this is the worst Cena/Cesaro match I've seen. Then it got good with some cool movez, and then it went on forever with a million kickouts and submission escapes. A year from now in a vacuum I would probably like it more, but having just seen several matches worked in this style I'm kinda sick of it. Watching NXT this week made it pretty clear to me that Sasha is the ace of that brand. They can give Balor 45 minutes of tv time every week, but Sasha is the most entertaining and best all around act in the company by a wide margin.

Is it fair to say they cooled New Day down because they were clearly starting to overshadow the Authority as the top heel act? I'm pretty baffled at that one.

    WWE TV 7/6 - 7/12

Yeah some people are marking out, but they lost me about 5 minutes before the finish. The start of the match was pretty rough with the breaks, and Cesaro working rest holds for a crowd that hated Cena. Some pretty sloppy stuff mixed with some cool shit. Brock Lesnar going ape shit was the highlight for me. I'm legit stunned no one died in that segment(assuming that car door didn't decapitate a fan).
  13. Neville/Jericho, Brock/Kofi, and Owens/Balor were all good and worth a watch. The announcing was so much better without Vince around. That was by far the best Balor has looked in a WWE ring. I haven't been sold on him, but he brought the fire for this match.
  14. She had a couple of matches at the taping that will air on back to back shows starting the week after next. The last one was said to be the best match at the taping.
  15. They tried to keep it a secret because they had him traveling overseas and working several matches after the concussion occurred.
  16. In NXT they could bring him in because Regal likes his style, and have his mat expertise be a big part of his act. At this point it's something that would help him stand out from the pack. Guys like him and Gable could perhaps change the culture a little bit, but it would have to start in NXT. I don't have any expectations of the entire style changing, but having a handful of guys on the roster known for their mat wrestling and submission skills would change things up for the better imo.
  17. Drew Gulak was said to have been the standout at the recent tryouts. I hope they sign him because I desperately want mat wrestling to be worked back into the WWE style. Sasha/Becky stood out so much because of the mat work in that match, and I loved every second of it.
  18. They were kind of ok as the midcard face team that would occasionally pull off cool shit. I think the heel run has really exposed how bland and how reliant on movez they are as workers. Their attempts at showing personality basically consist of Blake saying look at my stupid hair, and the other one doesn't even pretend to have a personality. Their existence has led to Alexa Bliss wearing really skimpy shorts so I can't say they're completely worthless.
  19. Yeah Cesaro/Joe sounds pretty bad ass to me. Swagger is a guy I'd like to see reinvent himself in NXT. He had a good match with Zayn last year. I definitely wouldn't mind a Real Americans reunion with them beating the shit out of sucky ass Blake & Murphy, and having a run helping Cass and Enzo get to the next level. Corbin would also benefit from working Swagger.
  20. S we have Rollins as champ and Sheamus with the mitb could it be any less interesting? If Brock gets the belt Sheamus is no threat to him. Ambrose with the belt, and Reigns with the mitb would've made for great tv.
  21. Rollins/Ambrose went on forever, and had a shit finish. I have no idea what they see in Rollins he's a total jobber imo.
  22. New Day jobs WTF?
  23. Of course Cena is the one that had to bring new things in this match because he lost the first one. Great storytelling great booking.
  24. Loved everything about Owens/Cena perfect booking imo.
  25. WWE has far more to lose than they do to gain by turning Cena. He's already the most over heel 80% of the time anyway. I really don't see the upside to severing the connection he has with the young fans just to have the d-bags that boo him now start to cheer him.
