Seemed like the usual Cena formula to me. It's beyond played out. One of Roman's weakest big matches.
-
Roman just shortened his career and his neck with that. And now it's just bullshit after the rolling AA's kickout. I hated that match.

This Cena/Reigns match has been a let down.

That seems odd that they would bring her in to the MYC tapings, bring in WWE main roster talent, and fly Ronda in for the finals all without Vince's knowledge. Like, I could see maybe if the negotiations fell through (which why would they, she doesn't exactly have a jam packed schedule), but to say they aren't in negotiations seems demonstrably false. I read it as they shot the backstage confrontation without Vince knowing about it. I'm pretty sure Ronda still has UFC fights left on her contract so I doubt they would be negotiating anything with her directly it would have to go through UFC.

Anybody can look at that wound when it first opens and know it wasn't a fucking blade job. It was a circular wound with multiple red spots.
-
Well the story today isVince put the brakes on that. They aren't in negotiations with Ronda, and they filmed the stuff with her in the MYC without his knowledge. He felt it was misleading the fans to tease the angle.

WWE doesn't get many chances to make stars who don't have baggage dragging them down. Stroman looked like a star in the feud vs Roman, and at Summer Slam. I say pull the trigger and see what happens.

I really don't like the booking that set up the final four. Heel vs heel and face vs face is just bizarre. Mercedes and Storm have yet to really impress me while Piper has been at worst the second best in the MYC. Rhea Ripley was quite impressive in her matches. I think they have something there. Ripley and Bianca are ready for NXT tv right now.

I think Buff Bagwell still has the record.

I guess I've gotten to the point where I've just blocked WWE commentary out completely. I honestly can't remember a single thing about it during the opening round it's all just like the teacher from Charlie Brown to me. Yeah Kairi's top rope diving forearm was king sized. She could easily use that as a finish on occasion.

There are so many inexperienced Performance Center women in this I don't think it's fair to compare it to the CWC. Plus they had to work 3 rounds on day two so the matches aren't going to be as long. There should be more than one woman from Japan in this, but It is what it is. Personally I've enjoyed seeing women like Rhea Ripley, Taynara Conti, and Bianca Blair show that WWE has some good looking prospects at the PC. I'm looking forward to seeing how Bianca does against Kairi, and how Ripley does against Evie/Dakota.

Abbey is signed and Jazzy isn't. Plus Abbey is one of the best wrestlers in the MYC so it's not hard to see why they booked her to go over.
-
Straight up TNA booking lol.

How long has Piper Nevin/Viper been awesome? I saw a few of her tag matches in Stardom, but I didn't know she could work singles this well. I thought her and Kairi were the standouts of the first round. Jazzy hit a couple of awesome strikes, but I'm not completely sold on her. There were a lot of "power house" style workers in this, and Nevin was the clear standout. I thought Dakota did a good job pin balling to get her opponent over then hitting a couple of great looking moves to pick up the win. Mostly a fun first round.

I stopped taking Meltzer seriously when he started giving Davey Richards matches high ratings. With all the talk of how wrestling is more work rate oriented now you have an entire 205 division that can't get a reaction, and Stroman is the most over guy in WWE.
-
Yeah I'm right there with you. This was an all world performance. I've been waiting for them to let her work more heelish, and her arm work in this was great. Along with being technically one of the best workers they have Asuka is also one of the most charismatic. I think she should keep getting more heelish and vicious as she tries to hang on to the belt.

Sasha was 23 when she was called up, and off the top of my head is one of if not the best example of someone that young handling the spotlight on the main roster well at that age in recent times. It seems like most of the NXT call ups these days are late 20's at the youngest.
-
It's a dream match to people who've followed Nak's career in Japan or NXT which is about 20% of the main roster audience.
-
Cena's uncoordinated ass taking that inverted exploder wasn't a good idea. Good match that probably should've been saved for a ppv. Really good match from Gable and Rusev. Summer Slam is looking like a one match show
-
Yeah it was probably a case of too much too soon, but he looks like he could handle a big push with ease. He really carries himself like a star now. Killian Dane is getting pushed as a monster in NXT, and Drew towered over him. I'd love to see him in the mix on SDL especially on the heel side where they have Jinder and Corbin on top.

I think losing all their favorites over the past year plus(Balor, Nak, Zayn, Bayley, Dillenger, Cass and Enzo etc etc) has taken it out of the fan base. There's a lot of talent in NXT, and the tv matches this year have been great, but the acts don't have that connection with the audience like the people mentioned above. Some of that falls on the writing team who have still yet to come up with a decent story line for Alister Black or their #1 contender Drew McIntyre. They really haven't done a good job with Ember Moon's character either. Speaking of Drew Mac why the hell do we have to sit through Jinder Mahal and Barron Corbin matches while this dude is in NXT? He made Dain look like an average size guy.

Maybe with another 3 or 4 Mania main events Roman will become a legit superstar. He has helped elevate Stroman as the biggest face in the company though.
-
Honestly I don't give a shit about any of it. I still think it was a mistake to break up Cass and Enzo. The WWE is struggling to bring in younger viewers, and Cass and Enzo have always been popular with kids. Dumb move IMO.

It sounds like a bunch of stuff Dave pulled out of his ass.
