I'm not anywhere near a contender for this throne. Average about 8 hours a week I guess of actual watching. But I go on tears for a week at a time every couple of months where I'm watching about 12 hours per day, taking down notes and times for comp stuff, then set the notes aside for when I'm ready to compile to disc. Compiling footage I average about 30 hours per week - but that doesn't really count as watching since I'm just flying through the shit clipping it out.

Good question, and I'm interested in knowing who the king is. Those guys you listed are painting with oils while the rest of us are using finger paints when it comes to watching wrestling. Might throw shoe in that mix as well.

Agree. I really hated the finish as a kid but watching it back recently - it's fantastic. Does this match get slept on a bit because of the finish, or because of Luger Online Hate GroupThink for so many years, or because it was the zillionth Flair-Luger matchup, or what? I'd probably rate it higher than you guys, something like 4.875 stars or maybe even 4.9375, however close it can get to 5 without actually being 5. Almost scared to go back and watch it again due to the Valentine-Backlund 60 minute match getting a star hacked off each time I viewed it.

October 22, 1988 edition of NWA Pro. Sting/Roadies vs Sullivan/Rotunda/Steiner. Roadies turn on Sting. One of seemingly 2 dozen turns in NWA 1988.

I think they would have been better served to remain vicious heels thru 1989 - who knows, maybe longer. As faces they'd more than run their course by early '88. Not helped of course by the Starrcade 87 booking.

Also Parv, I found this same Dibiase cover picture in a 1987 PWI issue - so it's definitely a pre-WWF picture. So I was wrong 100%. Mark it down, since it's rare, possibly unheard of, for anyone to admit to being totally wrong on a wrestling board.

This is probably the best WCW PPV up to this point (or maybe ever?) aside from Bash 89. I'd have to really think about what can top it. To add to the evidence that the RnR-Midnights has mass appeal to a fan just breaking in, or even a non fan - my mom back in the day LOVED this match, especially the Cornette antics, and my wife even watched it twice with me recently. LOVE the idea of focusing on the tag scene and having Flair team up with Arn to take on the various teams while Luger-Pillman gets a strong push as the top singles feud. Excellent show, as always.
