  1. Pretty safe bet there . Every single BM column would have a line referring to "Unemployed Idiot Alcoholic Sid Eudy..."
  2. i always thought Bruce Mitchell's initials "BM" fit the type of stuff he says perfectly.
  3. I definitely do think it's possible
  4. The promotion (or lack of) the shows in Wichita has always bothered me. The first one was March 2000. They advertised the shit out of it - spots on a few radio stations, at least one Dreamer call-in interview, posters around town, and an ad in the paper IIRC. It drew a solid house (1500-2500 at a guess), and man, the Wichita fanbase was theirs for the taking. It was the best show we'd seen in years. So then they come back in July - no ads, no promotion, no nothing. I didn't even know about the show til the day after and I was eating, sleeping and breathing wrestling info that summer. Allegedly there may have been a third show where they did a TNN taping. Same deal with that. It's like they killed Wichita dead so they'd have an excuse to never come back. I don't know that this really adds to the discussion but it was really ass-backwards.
  5. I'm with El Boricua on the Thunderdome Match from 1989 mainly for nostalgic purposes but I still really like that one. The rest of my picks have already been mentioned also - Luger vs Pillman, Nastys vs Steiners, Eddy vs Rey.

  7. It was a lot of fun to participate. Hope everyone enjoys it.
  8. Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic.
  9. The ending of Rude-Warrior has always bothered me. Rude's* life outside of the ring reads like a Ron Jeremy documentary and he's devastated by Piper mooning him? C'mon. *Rude's character at least
  10. I totally buy this.

  12. So it turns out that after all these years, Luger's missing ingredient to a title victory may well have been Harley screaming "Now's the time!"

  14. Would have been fun if Watts ran Alaska and made it a driving territory "If you get in a bar fight with a moose or a grizzly bear and lose, you're fired"
  15. It's definitely weird. You've got 3 "big" towns in AK capable of putting 5k in an arena and they're not exactly short drives in between and I can't imagine they'd go to all that trouble for a single show. The only way it would be worth it is if someone in Alaska sent Verne a large guarantee check in advance and paid the trans. WWF ran in Fairbanks IIRC in '89.
  16. Hell they would have had to draw 50,000 just to cover expenses, right? How did they do up there?

  18. The out-of-ring stuff made a real dick sandwich out of this show. Or that was the Prime Dick in what was a variety platter of dick sandwiches. Too bad that all the extracurricular BS outside of the ring really did take away from the solid-to excellent matches. Even Norman brought game! Chad really had me losing it with his Tommy Rich discussion and the fact that it would have been a lot easier in theory to find a clothing store as opposed to a novelty sex shop. Maybe David had a shopping list and figured he'd kill two birds with one stone.
  19. That's more like it.
