  2. Does Dave take his salad with the main entree, or before?
  3. Does Dave pick up the check or go Dutch? Does he tip well?
  4. I've been slowly making some CHV covers and figured I'd share them here. I plan to do WM's thru 15, and probably some others if the mood strikes. Tried to match as closely as possible the CHV VHS cases that I remember renting as a kid, but some creative liberties were taken. If anyone wants these to print for themselves, I would be happy to email them (they are about 7mb apiece), throw them in with any trade or comp purchase, or upload them if you have a ftp.
  5. Nope, nothing suspicious
  6. Dustys Pencil (great name btw) - was there a specific happening that put you off of the NWA, or was it just a gradual thing over time?
  7. Hell no. I'm shocked anyone is still doing it.
  8. Von Erichs - World Class Bruno Sammartino - WWWF Must....resist.....urge...to mention...oh what the hell: Bulldog Bob Brown = Central States, at least in KS (Harley in KC).

  14. Fun show. Even as bad as this Clash was, listening to this makes me want to go back and watch it again. If they were hellbent on turning the Horsemen on this show, instead of the turn on Sting in an interview segment, why not do the turn in the cage? Sting starts the match and is unstoppable, makes a tag and then Flair, Arn, & Ole annihilate Sting. Maybe Norman or Dr. Death can blow their ACL's trying to get into the cage to help Sting. Buzz and the Dragon Master could bail or join in the beating, then Muta clears house of the Horsemen and saves Sting, turning face. Going forward, Terry Funk (or Sting) can be Muta's mouthpiece. Would that work, assuming Muta sticks around? I still don't understand how failing a single drug test totally sunk Tully's career, especially during this period when "everyone" was on something.
  15. Ivan is definitely a solid choice. I don't know how well he drew but he was fucking awesome going back to '71, thru 1985 (at minimum), and all points in between, judging from what I've seen.
  16. Greg Valentine is the first guy I thought of. Hansen had two strong WWF runs in '76 and '81, but I don't know if he really spent enough time in the states in that 5 year period to qualify?
  17. I don't have any kids, but am married. She's not a fan. We work completely different shifts and only see each other on weekends. So I have all sorts of time to myself to devote to wrestling. Hell, even at work I have an entire 2nd floor to myself and this board is my sole social interaction thru the week, sad as that is With kids, don't know that I would have any time for anything else.
  18. One of the main things about PWO that caught my eye several years ago was the general opinions here on Brody. I never saw what was "great" about him, and spent a lot of money on VHS comps back in the day with "top shelf" Brody matches on them, to try to see what I was missing. I probably don't hate him at the level that most here do (for me, that space is reserved for Ivan Putski), but I never got into any of Brody's stuff, not even in the slightest.
  19. I had forgotten what an attractive man Brezhnev was.
  20. Shit, that would've been awesome.
  21. I'd love to read it, especially if Jack Victory is under the mask.

  23. Love this quote. I pretty much lived by this creed in the last half of the 90's and first half of the 00's. After almost dying in 2004 and dramatically cleaning up my act after that, found I like being Lance Storm a hell of a lot more than I did being Ric Flair. That said, more power to Flair to live his life however the hell he wants to live it.
