  1. Piper keeps harping on people making comments about his age and hip. Hall said “Hey Piper” about twenty times. Nash informs us match will be No DQ, No Countout.
  2. Elizabeth wore four different dresses at WresleMania IV but has been wearing the same one now for what feels like a year. But she finally got a new dress. It’s the same type of dress she has always been wearing though but now has “Madness” across the front.
  3. Bret gets some things off his chest. Getting more and more personal between them. As a TV viewer it does look perplexing that Shawn just stood there and listened to this the whole time as show went off air. There should have been someone, TV producer or agent, out there to give them the hurry up and get to finish before show would go off air.
  4. Well, he’s way more effective on talking about his father issues than what Raven is doing. Dustin now has to deal with being on the road a lot with a young daughter.
  5. The Nation sacrifice PG-13 to LOD. Hawk had some timing issues. Creative finish with Doomsday Device knocking Wolfie D on top of a prone JC Ice. High style points for this squash. Nation just walks out after match is over.
  6. Hart continues to knock Austin while also mentioning Undertaker and the WWF Title. Most of all he has a big surprise for everyone but ends up leaving after becoming disgruntled with the crowd response. Great in that it left you wanting more in finding out what this surprise was. Total tease by Bret.
  7. Austin gets huge pop when he gives Hebner the finger behind his back. I’d cheer that one too. Austin gets the Stunner but Pillman and Hart Foundation cause a distraction. Ross was putting over in commentary that Austin should be the new WWF Champion. Post match has Austin hitting Undertaker with another Stunner. Crowd was good in this match and so much louder than Shamrock/Vader.
  8. Ross actually talks Vader’s history in UWFI though not mentioning it by name. Shamrock has a different sounding entrance music. Never seen this match. Sumbission or knockout only. This match reminds Lawler of Inoki/Ali! Nice hype. I really enjoyed this match and loved how it was different than other WWF type matches. Shamrock uses a lot of strikes and goes for different kinds of submissions. Vader uses some of his own submissions. Vader picked up Shamrock with a suplex and just dropped him from the ring to the floor outside. The moonsault attempt by Vader didn’t make sense in this type of match but Vader ends up hitting a wicked strike to Shamrock’s face after. Shamrock gets the win with a take down into anklelock for submission which Vader taps to. I believe that is the introduction of tapping out to a submission in WWF. As a whole, what they were doing in the ring was tough since fans just weren’t educated on the various submissions being used. Nor did the announcing put things over specifically either. But I totally enjoyed this.
  9. Austin ain’t scared of the dark and has a few quick words before the lights go out and Taker appears on video screen to respond. Last second hype as the PPV is about to start.
  10. Crowd wanted Balls to hit Francine with the chair. It’s so obvious watching Bigelow’s body language that he is going to turn on Balls. Bigelow becomes new member of Triple Threat and show goes off the air with him squaring off with the Pitbulls.
  11. For no reason particular I had the TV volume low when watching so wasn’t fully aware of the crowd until their “you fucked up” chant when Wolfie missed a top rope move. There isn’t a place left by now for Morton to still be able to do his thing. Random for PG-13 to be in IWA. I though it was okay overall and would be fine watching a follow up tag match.

  14. Thanks Sleeze, you put it in great terms using videos games. The mid 90's WWF wrestling games were big on two button smashing. One of my friends was really good on that stuff. But when the newer systems with more buttons on controllers that encouraged timing and skill more the dude was completely lost playing the games.
  15. So is this like Baseball where people with ballots aren't required to show how they voted? Like when Aaron Sele gets a vote and we don't know who picked him, will that be similar to AJ Styles getting a random vote. Seriously though, how many folks have a ballot for this and is there some type of breakdown between journalists, wrestlers and others working in the business? I would think the PED/Steroid issue has zero issue by the wrestling journalists. Nor is there any of that silly first time ballot crap some Baseball people get where they refuse to vote anyone in the first time no matter how great they were. Baseball requires at 75% vote for guys to make it. What is the WON requirement?
  16. Macho is still using Elizabeth as a shield after all these years. Total set up for Hogan to attack DDP. Giant getting beat up in the ring by the whole NWO. Ric Flair and Kevin Greene try to make the save. Piper too. Nash really cranking in the sleeper to put Piper out. Educating those fans to believe Nash could do that.
  17. Hogan back from his movie shoot. Hogan immediately calls out Sting! Camera focuses on the rafters but no Sting. Bischoff has the evil goatee to put himself over more as a bad guy.
  18. Did Syxx forget his wrestling gear or did they not care enough to treat this as an actual wrestling match and not an angle? Mysterio doesn't have much of a chance here as now you add Hall to the mix also. Dillon tries to intervene but Bischoff comes out and puts him in his place. Dillon did look really ineffective on what he could do as he just stood there on apron.
  19. I hope El-P is a special guest on the 99-01 yearbooks PWO podcasts. He's probably shortened his own life expectancy by ten years doing this project.
  20. Austin didn't have the mid section kick before the Stunner so it still feels so out of nowhere the way he hits it on Bulldog. More brawling again but Lafon and Furnas also get involved in things. Michaels keeps going after Anvil. Big pop for Undertaker's music and entrance. Him and Austin square off again but I feel like the fans were more about the Hart Foundation getting theirs and not these guys fighting each other.
  21. Harts get Michaels where they want but Austin interrupts. Continuing the whole Austin and Michaels don't care for each other but they want to get back at the Hart Foundation.
  22. Shawn must have got some of that horse placenta in his knee to make such an amazing comeback. Michaels is his usually annoying self by this point. He was destined for a heel turn with the type of promos he was cutting. Neidhart is sent out to take on Shawn which is just a set up for rest of Hart Foundation to get involved. Anvil took a awful bump off a Hawk clothesline.
  23. WWF was getting more comfortably referring to guys wrestling from that other organization. We get clips of Goldust from when he wrestled in 90/91 in WWF. He talks about his dad and the issues he has trying to make a name for himself. I can understand Teri being mentioned as his wife but she didn't add much to this segment. Dustin on his own was good enough.
  24. I think this was perfect for Ken at the time as he was struggling to cut a wrestling promo where in this feature he could try to be himself. More challenges to Mike Tyson.
  25. Now I'm eager to here what Bret 97 will have on Loss' thoughts on that podcast PWO will do. Great to see all of the Hart Foundation together. We are building towards Canadian Stampede. Owen is full of gold with the tag titles, IC title and his Slammy awards.
