  1. A feud with Bobby Duncum Jr, seriously? Jericho does his best to make something of it and we get some physical comedy from the legend that is Ralphus. The Brain suggests Ralphus uses the rope for flossing.
  2. Some good booking here with Nash ending an undefeated streak to suggest he might do the same to Goldberg. I like when main eventers have competitive matches against midcarders rather then squashing then or staying segmented all the time.
  3. The funniest thing is that Vince doesn't think he's taking the piss here.
  4. Just the thought of Santo being in WCW or WWF long term makes me shudder.
  5. They may as well have had a picture of Russo on the Titantron whilst this crap was going on. Ellering calls Hawk 'Mike' at one stage because this is a shoot. Tasteless in the extreme and quite dangerous with two guys climbing up there. Hawk then gets pushed off by the pusher (geddit?) and plunges to somewhere we can't see. About as believable as when Hulk pushed the Giant off the roof that time.
  6. Sometimes the ends justify the means.
  7. This was the debut of Kobashi's Burning Hammer. I preferred seeing moves like that whilst Misawa was still alive.
  8. After a series of torture porn segments it all culminates in Vince wetting himself in the middle of that very ring. It takes one crazed, twisted mind to even think this stuff up, let alone do it. McMahon has absolutely no shame and would do practically anything if he thought it was good for business.
  9. Oh great, it's time for the McMahon Family Warzzz to begin. That would be a recurrent highlight for years on end. Shane's promo was so whiny and annoying I kept hoping Austin would stun him.
  10. It's primarily the WWF main event scene that made the Yearbook. Here's a little reminder of why that is. Brutally bad Russo BS.
  11. Rick Steiner just called out a puppet to the ring. Some great cross-promotion here. I've still never watched a Chucky movie though.
  12. Would it be utterly pedantic to point out that it was Yurple the Clown? She would also guest star in the highest rated segment in the history of television, bar none, ever. This was comedy gold with Foley and McMahon. Then Austin shows up and that bedpan sound effect was fantastic.
  13. I was marking out so hard for Judy Bagwell I had to rewind and watch this twice. What a performer. Give that woman a title run right now.
  14. Okay so Hogan and Bret knew that by faking a leg injury it would guarantee that Sting would come out to help the Hitman. Not only that but they knew that Sting would feel compelled to take Bret's place in the match. They also knew that the referee would allow this ridiculous thing to happen. The nWO also knew that Bret would be accompanied back to the ambulance by Wolfpac members so they could be attacked. This attack could clearly not be carried out unless the nWO was disguised as orderlies, so they arranged that in advance. Back to the ring and I should point out that the wrestling here is actually real. The Bret vs Hogan match was actually fake because Bret was not injured at all and they were just pretending the whole time. Bret turns for the ? time (I've lost count). Crap. Crap. Crap. Crap. Crap. Obviously. Crap. WCW. WCW sure knows how to pull off a dream match.
  15. It sure didn't take a lot of effort to turn the Rock face. It didn't take him much time to shoot up the card either. Getting a clean win over the #2 guy in the company was a big moment towards making him a credible main eventer.
  16. That clothesline would sure get a lot of replays.
  17. I'm having flashbacks to the 1994 Royal Rumble. That was a crap idea as well. If Austin wasn't so hot then the stupid world title booking over the next two months could've quickly killed off the WWF's momentum.
  18. This was a great double shot after Flair's return the previous Nitro. The hatred between him and Bischoff is palpable. Flair never saved his money. He lived his gimmick. Bischoff comes off as being a bigger scumbag than any other point in time, and that's covering some ground.
  19. This was absolutely electric. You'd have thought Flair had been gone for five years rather than five months by the response. Arn and Ric were both incredible here. With all the BS going on in WCW this year it made this stand out even more for being real and meaningful.
  20. Hall was a disgrace to wrestlers everywhere. He should've been in rehab, not in the ring.
  21. The legend that is Ralphus makes his way to WCW, preceded by the stomach of Ralphus. I'd forgotten about the Jerichoholic Ninja, who wasn't necessary as Ralphus was totally in control.
  22. I loved Cornette telling the wrestlers that they're the ones in control and not to let the crowd control them. What a wonderful old school idea. Today's fans think that their role is to lay down the law and tell the wrestlers how to do their job. Tony Jones hasn't been taking his vitamins.
  23. In the aftermath both Tammy and her imposter show some ass. Not to be outdone Candido shows his ass too. Lance however does not, which is disappointing.
  24. Dude that was sooooo last week, get over it. Let's have a catchphrase-athon.
