  1. This is sports entertainment out of the bottom drawer. The heel acting in a ridiculous, illogical and total unbelievable manner. Nobody is going to believe this shit. All building to a horrible idea of a gimmick match in a feud which doesn't need it.
  2. This is one of my pet hates. Just the general idea that heels can't win cleanly against a lower ranked opponent is bad enough. That's compounded when they've just turned and you can see the difference before and after.
  3. Sakuraba was a UWFI wrestler from 93-96. The reasoning here makes no sense at all. Why would the fans not believe an MMA legend could defeat a pro-wrestler? In the 00's multiple MMA stars held the IWGP title.
  4. It's not just you. Also I can't add links or images to a post. Every time I click the button the interface comes up and crashes. It won't even cancel without going back to the previous page.
  5. Choose your wrestler internal dialogue: 'I'm going to take steroids because the fans are more entertained by better physiques, and I owe it to them to be more muscular.' Or: 'That other guy sucks in the ring, but he's getting pushed because he's got a great physique. I work out all the time but I'll never look like that without steroids. I guess I'll go see that guy in the locker room...' None of us would ever have heard of the Ultimate Warrior if he wasn't a roid freak. He'd probably have never gone into wrestling were it not for Vince's perverted bodybuilder fixation shaping the culture of the time. He'd have certainly never got anywhere in the business were it not for his exceptional physique. The Warrior enjoyed a better and longer life than many of the guys that the wrestling industry chewed up and spat out. Chalk up one more death for the era. But who needs sadness or remorse? Just think of the increased DVD sales.
  6. It was so apparent that Bret and Shawn hated each others guts, and it wasn't just a work. When Bret grabbed the mic I half wondered if it was going to turn into a brawl. Given that the objective was to hype Diesel vs Bret this totally missed the point. HBK always had to be the centre of attention.
  7. Lawler's "Mother" was hilarious. Not even the Mom of Harry 'Beaver' Cleavage was that far off.
  8. In 1995 the idea of someone like Bob Backlund becoming President was beyond absurd. The future would prove that reality is crazier than fiction.
  9. I'm not sure I've even heard of Man Mountain Rock until watching the Yearbook. Maxx Payne sure didn't have much of an impact in the WWF.
  10. That's what happens when you don't bump properly.
  11. I was expecting him to say rap, but Bob was meant to be stuck in a time loop after all.
  12. This was like ring jacket wars out there. I'll give the nod to Dundee.
  13. If only.
  14. 13, what an unlucky number. I bet he's going to lose it all.
  15. 19 years on, it's still quite hard to wrap my head around this being the main event of Wrestlemania.
  16. Say what you like about WCW from this era, but some of these segments are comedy gold. Having everyone answer in their native tongue made it even funnier.
  17. This is an accurate representation of life in England.
  18. This is like the male version of Tammy's Tips.
  19. This was superbly done in a short space of time. It put Eaton over big time and logically explained an unlikely tag team, all whilst having fun with the Regal character.
  20. That was such a terrible top 10 list it deserved a full recap.
  21. Surprisingly, the foreigner who was pretending to be a Japanese sumo wrestler didn't go down too well with the fans.
  22. As I was watching I was thinking what a bizarre segment this would be if the MOM didn't turn heel. Of course they did so all was right with the world.
  23. The longer that the Bret vs Lawler feud went on the stupider the angles became.
  24. Todd Pettengill looks like the biggest douchebag ever.
