The Ascension vs The New Age Outlaws added for the Royal Rumble. I guess we know when Will is gonna take a piss break
-
With Kane and Big Show already having segments and Rollins in the title match on Sunday. I wonder if they are stupid enough to put Cena against Rusev for free without any promotion.
-
I think they made him job to sell the idea he might lose on Thursday against Kane and lose his Rumble spot. It's WWE short term booking 101.
-
cool bro thanks for telling us that there was no finish So we can talk about what happens on RAW with no spoilers but we have to spoiler tag SD! even when the show is on? My bad I guess.
-
Pretty good all things considered. It was an ok match but he was with Kane on a TV match with no finish so no big deal.
-
Good to see Bryan doing a crossbody instead of that damn top rope dropkick. Damn, first show back and they already have him working double duty.
-
That's too meta. The heat would to on the company and not Rollins. It will be yet another 'See how WWE fucks everything up!" and not "Gee! That Rollins guy is a good-for-nothing bastard. I hope Bryan gives him what's coming to him!". I think most people would be exited to see a long Bryan/Rollins program. Don't think there would be a lot of "fuck WWE" heat if Seth cashed in on DB.

So Savage is finally getting inducted into the WWE HOF. They'll announce it tonight.
-
I don't think Misawa ever booked NOAH. Akiyama was the booker most of (all?) the time before Misawa passed. Then it was Marufuji? Damn can't remember.
-
The wink from Roman after the "that's not easy to say" was a nice touch. Dude knows what's going on, he'll be fine eventually. But they gotta stop this smooth talker-war machine/superman-cool dude triple persona they have for him right now. It's just another reason why they should have more patience with him and let him develop more before giving him the Cena push.
-
I don't think anyone can be bearable for more than a month with the way Vince micromanages the commentary on every show.
-
I'd be happy with that scenario and I think most fans would at least be content with it. I don't see fans "hijacking" shows if they know the end game is Brock vs Bryan, regardless of the title. Don't know if putting Reigns against Rollins will stop the backlash from the "he's not ready yet" crowd but It wont be nearly as bad if he gets the Rumble win AND Brock.

Holy shit at the silence from the crowd.

Great show. I don't think I'll ever get used at how you guys pronounce "Cashas" instead of "Casas" though
-
Don't know about "great" booking, I think for the most part Gedo has done a good job in the last 5 years or so but he's done some weird ass booking in their Dome shows for a while now. I thought the show was better than I expected. I normally feel very underwhelmed with Dome shows and this one delivered a ton of good matches (and a great one in Nakamura/Ibushi) without having to sit through 4-5 hours of wrestling. The hyperbole it's whatever to me at this point, people love them some New Japan.
-
Sounds good to me. But I'd make Seth cash in on Roman because that dude shouldn't have a real run with the belt yet. Another scenario I'd like for Bryan would be getting eliminated by Rusev and then those two having a classic at Mania.
-
But at the same time, The Authority trying to keep Bryan from entering the Rumble (for his own good) would get nuclear heat. And they have been playing off D-Bry loving The Authority being gone, it's kinda hard picturing them not going back to that feud.
-
I didn't think it was that bad. Could have used a little more intensity when he talked about Rusev though.
-
I actually wouldn't have liked Dave as an announcer because I don't think he would've been that good. Too much "know what I mean?"s and stuttering for my liking. wow, I don't see that happening at all. I mean, there's no doubt some people would question his credibility on the issue but I think a big majority would side with Dave.
-
Exactly. Heyman is like the IC/US belt (Rusev's reign aside) in the sense that creative automatically goes into a weird "he doesn't need to be protected/put in a compelling feud, he already has a title/great mouthpiece" mode. So they find ways to justify that wrestler jobbing every show or being lost in the shuffle. Same thing happened with the MITB briefcase before Rollins.
-
Intrigued to see what Ziggler/Luke, Bray/Dean and Cena/Rollins do in the ring after all the buzz generated by the NXT show. Specially Bray and Dean.
-
re: Sting/HHH Also, it wouldn't shock me if Rollins wins on Sunday so Cena is "forced" to bring the Authority back to get his title shot or something.

Austin whiffed on this one giving Vince the easy way out. He ALWAYS puts Cesaro over on his podcast but Austin didn't really put over how over Cesaro was doing the Swing and after winning the Battle Royal and how it was creative's fault for not pushing him as a babyface. I think he let Vince off the hook on this one with bad phrasing and not making a strong argument out of the gate. The Swing thing I agree. A direct question about why they took it out and how it obviously damaged him would've been better than what we got. BUT, Austin did lay out the booking of Cesaro and how he went from hot to cold in a couple of months. The fact that Vince didn't interrumpt him or defend the booking by blaming Cesaro or explaining why they did what they did to him tells me Vince was conceding him the point about booking. Specially because immediately after Steve talked about the booking, Vince admitted he didn't know what to do with Cesaro. In my view that's Vince saying they fucked up and don't know how to get him over. That's depressing considering getting Cesaro over again doesn't look like an impossible task, but it's still a very honest answer about what the hell happened to his push.
