  1. Jim Cornette needs to learn to not interupt his guests as well. It makes for a hard listen knowing the guest will not be able to properly expound on their thoughts. It is becoming apparent that Cornette and JR are much better guests than hosts. I truly believe it comes down to being humble. Stone Cold appears humble enough to let his guests have the stoplight while the other two can't shut their fucking mouths for 30 seconds.
  2. JR sure knows how to screw up a good interview. Listen to the Sting episode for proof.
  3. I cancelled my subscription yesterday. Once they get a plan together and have someone running the Network who has a clue I'll jump back on board.
  4. Read an article posted on the Observer yesterday about Podcast One and interesting to note was the Steve Auston show averages around 500,000 downloads per show, and not unusual for it to eclipse 1 million.
  5. I do not agree with anything Russo says, but I find him a fascinating listen. And I agree with Jim Ross in a lot of regards, but rarely enjoy listening to him on a podcast.
  6. Any one else get a kick out of Warrior asking the camera man to hold his mic while he put on his mask during Raw?
  7. Sign me up for the Shiek documentary. On another note, I'm not a fan of Buff Bagwell but highly enjoyed his Art of Wrestling appearance. I recommend it. Buff comes off as a good dude.
  8. You can now resume playing on the PS3 with the latest update.
  9. And Shaq would damn sure recognize Ric Flair.

Surprised to see Mason Ryan on NXT. Glad to see he grew his hair long. Gives him a better look.
  11. http://grantland.com/features/welcome-to-the-wwe-network/ Simmons and Shoemaker discuss the Network.

Once the Shield split, who gets to keep wearing the Shield gear?
  13. I tune in to TNA about once a month HOPING they finally have it figured out, only to be disappointed each and every time. The show feels set in fast forward mode. Slow it down and use common sense!
  14. In a way I'm glad content isn't all available at the front end. It gives more attention to episodes of older shows being rolled out. Also it doesn't feel quite as overwhelming in regards to too much wrestling to choose from and watch all at once.
  15. Watching the NXT pre-show and performance center packages it is ridiculous the amount of times "WWE" is said. For fucks sake we know what we are watching!
  16. Watching Barely Legal 97 on my PS3 and just realized there are marks for where each match begins on the scroll. Makes navigating to a particular match a hell of a lot easier.
  17. I finally got signed up. I'm taking the CPA exam tomorrow, but felt weird not being signed up even though I have no time to watch today.
  18. What's the status on the lucha podcasts?
  19. If you would have told me a year ago that Jericho, Jim Ross, and Jim Cornette all would have podcasts I would have been ecstatic. However, Austin's show stands a cut above the rest. The other three are on a week to week basis for me based on their guest (and in the case of Cornette's, how much talk other than wrestling goes on).
  20. I also prefer a paper copy of the Observer, but I'm too frugal (cheap) to pay additional for something I'm already getting for $10 bucks a month. I would rather put the additional money towards the Network.

  22. Through my job I travel frequently and work at different sites. When I am at my office for work I typically go eat with a couple of my superiors. One day it was just me and one superior so we rode in his truck to eat. In the passenger seat sat a copy of Jerry Jarret's autobiography. After I mentioned that I had read it and read wrestling books regularly, he proceeded to take me to his house and show me his Jimmy Valiant signed action figure! Now I normally give him wrestling books after I read them. Thursday I gave him Cornette's Rags, Papers, and Pins. We live an hour away from Memphis so he has watched Memphis wrestling his entire life and wrestling ran in our town almost every Saturday so I assume he will be familiar with a lot of the items in Cornette's book and may own an item or two. You never know when you will run into a fellow fan.
  23. Great podcast. Do you think the WWE will get away from the one PPV per month model as a result of the network and possibly go every two months instead? I know traditional PPV buys will dry up, but I wonder if the WWE will want to continue to keep the buzz every month with a "special" or to cut back and allow each event to feel more important.
