I've seen that guy and (presumably) his mom in the first or second row at a least 10 WWE shows this year including most if not all of the PPVs. Maybe he got an inheritance

Good Will Wrestling: Greatest Wrestler Ever Series
Mando replied to goodhelmet's topic in GWE Podcasts and Publications
Glad people are digging the shows. What a wild ride GWE has been. -
I talk on Will's podcast about Scorpio's amazing 12 year stretch of '92-'05 but Elliot was also on the show and his soliloquy on Satanico is perhaps even more inspired than my own impassioned oratory. I also ponder what if Parv had done BIGLAV on New Jack.

Amen. Also, Low Ki is the first guy to me that his placement actually gave me a twinge of pain. Really wanted to see him make it into the 100. We've got 15 years of him on tape and it's all bonkers and utterly fantastic. Similar to Grimmas' take on Necro Butcher he's a guy I'd be excited to see paired up with anybody.
-
I was a guest on Goodwill Wrestling with Goodhelmet/Will and Elliot to talk our ballots so look for that to be up soon. 😄
-
Nope. Grimmas posted a complete rundown of the posting schedule from here through #1 yesterday in this thread. The anticipation!

Holy cow! I thought I was a lock for the high vote on Meiko Satomura!
-
Love the Necro picture. Last time I saw him live was inside a former Ponderosa Steakhouse in freezing temperatures with no heat. Wish he'd made it into the top 150.

Edge beating my boy Psicosis by a few points is a bummer. Psicosis vs. Regal > Edge vs. Regal.

Always enjoy the weekly show. Echoing the positive sentiments RE: the second falls in general, Tim you've done a good job jumping in, your guys' discussion on some of the NJPW shows actually had me wanting to order their streaming service. I dig the deep dives into some of the more under the radar stuff too like the ROH house shows etc. I'll always up TWiW to the top of my podcast queue when it drops.

Nice to see Patera do fairly good. One of the very first VHS tapes as a child I dubbed from the video store onto a blank tape was The Ken Patera Story. Haven't seen it in well over 20 years but remember for a kid thinking it was kind of dark and couldn't understand why they were spending so much time recreating a crime scene outside of a McDonald's a la Unsolved Mysteries. I kept thinking, "Get back to the Heenan Family!"

Yeah Scott made my list but not Rick. Eaton but not Lane. And Mark but not Jay Briscoe. Curious what the biggest divide will be between regular tag partners. Gibson and Morton I'd presume.
-
All hail King Booker.

Being the high voter on Dean Ambrose (Jon Moxley) and Homicide got me to thinking back on how great their short-lived rivalry was. Their No DQ and No Rules matches for DGUSA were some of my favorite wild indie brawls right up there with the Briscoes vs. Necro Butcher/Mad Man Pondo street fights in FIP.

I had Matsunaga near the bottom of my ballot. Him doing a rolling senton out of some scaffolding down onto an opponent placed on a barbed wire trampoline is permanently embedded into my mind.

Love New Jack. Someone was getting rid of a warehouse (3509 Warsaw Ave.) in in my hometown of Cincinnati and gave New Jack the keys. Thus birthed the most short-lived wrestling company in history: 2 Xtreme F*cking Wrestling. The only thing announced ahead of the date was Jack vs. Mad Man Pondo in a “Someone is Gonna Die Match”. I arrived at the building feeling like I’d walked into the video game Pit-Fighter. Maybe the most surreal show I’ve been to/have seen. The DVD titled “Da Birf” is floating around out there. Think I pawned mine at Half-Priced Books to buy textbooks.

One of my first shows as a kid was at a middle school and they brought Kamala in (and Lord Zoltan, but that's another story). He got eliminated from a battle royal by them leaving a trail of popcorn leading to the back like a Warner Bros. cartoon. That memory, his commitment to character, and presence got him onto my ballot.

I'm probably legitimately the high vote on New Jack

Maybe instead of changing my avatar I'll show off my shame by wearing this B-Boy shirt in public places:
-
So I guess I need a B-Boy avatar ASAP, eh? Look, as Parv has stated, the lists are all subjective. I’ve watched wrestling every day for almost 30 years straight. That in itself isn’t particularly uncommon but I generally do like just about every style, era, etc. (WoS being my only real blindspot) which makes me a bit of an anomaly in the era of knee-jerk Twitter opinions. Clearly I constructed my list with a bigger emphasis on personal favorites from over the years. My love for Kendrick dates back to the first time I saw him on a Zero1 VHS cassette doing the goofy Titanic pose through his ROH, WWE, TNA, PWG, DGUSA, and NJPW runs he’s always put a smile on my face and has been consistently solid in-ring wherever he pops up. My going to bat for him as an overlooked ’00’s ace barely got him into the top 400 so I wouldn’t lose any sleep over it. As has been said since the very beginning of discussion on GWE, the cream will certainly rise to the top. And hey — nobody gave me guff for being the incredibly high vote on “Hollywood” John Tatum who I used to love to watch on GWF afternoons at 4P on ESPN after school as my all-time favorite crybaby heel. Just have fun. I am.

A few of mine have popped up. I was the high voter on Maff, Hamrick, and Wolfie D getting them all in the rundown. I was high voter on Kaz Hayashi getting him to #499. Dug him in WCW, got to watch him up-close when HWA in Cincinnati was a WWE developmental territory absorbing all the WCW lower-tier guys after WCW closed, but most strongly from his terrific All Japan stuff. I had Milano AT at #100 always enjoyed him as a fun oddball and liked his IWA match with Chris Hero. I was the other guy that voted for Fujita Jr. Hayata. And I was the other guy (LOL) that voted for Abdullah Koabayahi. Thanks for that image. I wanted to give a nod to at least one guy representing every era/style I've been into over the last 25+ years of watching and he was my late-2000's BJW recipient.

I've got Mysterio in the GoAT range and Bryan back 20 spots. Maybe a decade removed I'll look back at Daniel's WWE run more fondly but as of now the stuff of his that speaks the most to me are some of his ROH feuds (Morishima, Nigel, Homicide) whereas Mysterio has lucha, small but fun run in ECW, and nearly two decades of very strong WCW/WWE output where (when healthy) he was always one of the best pound for pound guys on the planet.

I turned in both of my ballots. My initial singles ballot was roughly 140 guys so I had to do some difficult trimming. I still regret not nominating Public Enemy for the tag poll. So excited to see the results. Thanks to all involved.

It's The Gangstas. You've listed it as Gangtas. And it should be Samoan not Samaon.
