  1. A lot of those are "character" names. Avatar, Mankind, Goldust, Doink, Yokozuna, etc..... those aren't First Name/No Last Name situations like Virgil or Albert.
  2. Obviously he wasn't using the gimmick then, but the mental image of Glacier (Ray Lloyd) and Bullet Bob Armstrong on the same team is hilarious.
  3. It never occurred to me that a Shield triple threat would even be considered. It should be Ambrose losing the US Title to Reigns.
  4. I think I really did buy into Shawn's collapse, too, that he had post-concussion syndrome from that real world beating and legitimately had passed out.
  5. Zeb. It has to be Zeb. I was actually hoping for Real Americans and Zeb vs Hogan and, say, Rey and Big Show. Hulk can stay on the apron the whole match and just come in at the end to take out Zeb.
  6. I care less about Daniel Bryan's spot on the card then I do about logical booking that follows things through to an appropriate conclusion. The storyline begun at SummerSlam should end with either Bryan beating Orton for the title or Bryan beating Triple H cleanly and decisively. One of those two things is what he should be doing at Wrestlemania. Maaaaaaaaybe facing Cena in a rematch, if one of them had the title going in to the show.

The idea of Batista waltzing in after three years and just being stuck right in the title match at Wrestlemania sounds awful to me. I honestly have no great desire to see him in any match at all, unless it's a guest ref deal or something.
  8. The stump puller was Doink's original finisher before the whoopie cushion, he didn't just bust it out at SummerSlam.
  9. Any non-Salvatore Sincere version of Tom Brandi.
  10. Wasn't that going to be promoted as heel vs heel? I didn't think either one of them was going to turn face out of that angle.
  11. I literally don't understand how anyone can possibly think that.
  12. Billy Gunn's goofy wrist-to-the-forehead punches come to mind as some of the worst.

Which only happened that way because Dustin hurt himself earlier that day and couldn't work.
  14. I'm not sure if it's a "great" match, but one that comes to mind for me is the Raw match where Bret randomly defended the title against one of the Headshrinkers.
  15. Col. Rob Parker was clearly a highly skilled manager with connections within the WCW front office. He was so good he convinced them to hire a truck driver who had been arrested for assaulting one of their employees. Did this so-called "Blacktop Bully" even have any training as a wrestler? Didn't matter, Col. Parker got him hired straight away after bailing him out of jail. Quite a feat.
  16. Williams had made one previous appearance in the get-up and mask, attacking Bart Gunn from behind. The whole heel/face structure of that angle is all out of whack, as JR is playing a bitter heel character who cheap shots Michael Cole and runs him off, but nobody really cares about Cole, then evil boss Vince sends Terry Taylor out to kick heel JR off of commentary and take his place, and Taylor plays it as a "just doing what I'm told" babyface, who gets a bunch of Red Rooster-based insults, all of which makes JR a.... tweener? A heel who the "smart" fans are supposed to like? Was this crap Russo's idea or what?

Cena didn't actually eliminate two, Reigns eliminated himself via DQ for shoving the ref. But yeah it was still a really stupid way for the Shield to lose.
  18. I don't know about "great," but I have a strange fondness for the Big Bubba/John Tenta Carson City Silver Dollar match. I also recall really liking the Henry Godwinn/Triple H hogpen match.
