I think Bazza might be the last guy left that I didn't rank.

Taue had a great match with Marufuji. Let's not pretend he couldn't make his own chicken salad.

What about now? I have no problem with Santo over Cena. I had Santo pretty high. Like I said I have more problem with a guy like Austin over Cena, because they are a like for like comparison and Cena is better. EDIT: Bret too. Fuck that off. You put Austin really high. You must have. I did, clearly. And clearly lots of other people must have as well, because he's another guy who didn't come off like he was getting a tonne of support from the threads and the process.

Haha I can't wait for this shit now. Bring it on. Now that Cena is out I'm numb. Nothing can hurt me.

I love Austin but I am not cool with him finishing above Cena, that looks wrong.

4) You wanted to ruin my whole night. Jokes. But wow, that is a hell of a double whammy. Is James Derbyshire present on the board? If not I at least take solace in me being his high voter from regular board people.

It's indicative of the recommendations coming from me, I think.

THE HEARTBREAK KID SHAWN MICHAELS! THE SHOWSTOPPA! THE MAIN EVENT! THE ICON! Bahahaha well there you go. At least Gorgeous Georgito and a lot of other people aren't totally insane. I Is Shawn the lowest ranked guy with 2 #1 votes?

That is clearly nonsense, but nevertheless I think sometimes it's easy to forget that Gibson did his fair share of playing Ricky Morton as well. Usually when they worked two FIPs, but still.

[2016-04-03-WWE-Wrestlemania XXXII] The Undertaker vs Shane McMahon
Jimmy Redman replied to GOTNW's topic in April 2016
I will say this for it, the casual fans I spoke to after Mania thought it was totally out of this world and awesome, raved about it. So it worked for them.- 6 replies

I'm putting you on a watch list when Bock drops. I guess it just goes to show that while it's improved, he's still a guy not everyone has seen. A lot of regular posters were saying "yeah damn I gotta watch Buddy in Portland one of these days!" and left him off. I totally lowballed him because I've only seen the Rockers feud and a couple other matches. I love him and he made my top half but I couldn't go any higher without seeing more.
-
Yeah no offence Matt but your footage excuse is nonsense. I have no access to anything and haven't dropped a cent on this project but I found enough Hashimoto to watch. NJ is tricky but Dailymotion is there. The damn DITCH is there. There is plenty of stuff out there. Not to mention all of the other Japanese promotions that are readily available that you ignored. It's not a footage issue. It's a you didn't have the time to spend to get the full picture issue. You've already said so. Trying to act like Japanese wrestling is hard to find just because you're mad about not enough people watching Buddy is pretty disingenuous.

Fujiwara is one of the guys on my list who is ranked as low as he is simply because I have only seen enough of him to get him so far. I like him a lot and if I watched another dozen or so matches he could have got well into my top half. Alas.
-
It's funny when I get to Fujiwara and Dylan references the old, tired taking point about his defensive positioning. When I got to talking about Fujiwara on the podcast with Matt I had no idea such a talking point existed, I was just thinking of things to say about him and remembered noticing how he moved around the ring. Now it turns out it was the same thing everyone else noticed. Not that I imagined that I had hit upon some brand new idea, but I just think it's interesting that his defense is so striking that even I can identify it, and I know shit about shoot style.

Parv accurately predicting Ted's final placement is one of the biggest pops of the whole thing for me. Outstanding.

Swagger is the guy on the roster who would most benefit from going to Japan and getting a chance to be a real hoss for a while. So I hope you're right.

Something has just struck me, and again we don't have the time to spare to talk about extra stuff like this on the show so I'll just mention it here. I think every single GWE podcast I've got through so far, they have all had at least one placement in common. At least once they've had the same guy at the same number. I did go back and write down Matt's listings and compared our lists, and the biggest takeaway, not that it's a shocker or anything, but it's just how far apart we are. There are over 50 guys that Matt ranked that I didn't, and of those I think MAYBE five of them were even on my radar. And same thing for a lot of my guys to him I'm sure. Even the guys that we do agree on, I mean, we basically agree in every way about someone like Christian, and there was still a 20 place gap in our rankings! I think the closest we've come to each other is like having Tully 4 places apart. As we get into our final 22 or so guys, I'm going to put it out there that I don't think Matt and I will have a single guy ranked in sync. In fact I'd be kind of astonished if we did.

Before we began I was hoping for Cena to make the Top 50, to the point where I didn't want to say that in case invoking his name made him appear on the list. Anything from here is a great result.
-
The Cena rant totally delivered. Could not have been nodding in agreement more. The icing on the cake was that Dylan hitting his mute button at the end of that made it sound like the world's most deserved mic drop. I feel like I'm running up Everest trying to keep my gimmick as the #1 Cena fan around here.

Aaaaaand the Parv bomb drops. Did anyone have him #42 in their March Madness thing?
-
Yeah I thought that was deliberate and awesome.
-
Well they originally brought him in just as a short-term deal while he still worked indies, but then saw how over he was and decided to sign him for realsies. Then when they signed him it was "just for NXT", but I would imagine with how good he's been and how over he is they'd be looking to move him up fairly soon.
