Wow, this list was definitely not kind to joshi.

I had him at 72... that feels like a mistake now. Don't even want to talk about it... he's the one I regret ranking actually. But. Talking about regrets, at this point, Andre above Hokuto feels like a complete joke. Pendulum effect gone insane. Andre was good, but not that good. I had him at #99 because I wanted to represent him, but really, people got carried away when they discovered than young Andre was really good. Oh, and Andre after the mid-80's wasn't very good. And Andre in Japan in the late 80's/early 90's sucked and was painfull to watch. Just sayin'. I had both Andre and Hokuto in my top 30 with Hokuto higher. Lesnar was not on my ballot. Heading into the top 50 I have 32 wrestlers from my ballot still to appear.
-
Okay, I usually don't go into complaints or hysterics considering the spectrum of opinions that can be had, but Lesnar making the top 50 is just bs.

I have 46 left. I feel like I'm losing by being less goofy. Parv and co. are competing for who has the most conservative ballot. We're like the opposite. As of Owen appearing, I'm at 37 of the wrestlers on my ballot who have not yet appeared. Five of my bottom 50 are still to come, with only one of them being from my bottom 25. I also have five of my top 25 that have already appeared (two of which didn't make the final top 100).

JvK's Six-Factor Model for GWE rankings [BIGLAV]

Ranking Every WrestleMania Match
El Boricua replied to Bigelow34's topic in Publications and Podcasts
That's the best candidate, if it's indeed a new title lineage. The other option without moving anything else is Jericho vs. Styles. If you're shifting things around, you could make it the I-C title match and replace Van Dam vs. Regal from X-8 with Kane vs. Angle. If you go with Brock vs. Ambrose, you could replace Lesnar vs. Goldberg at XX for Torrie and Sable vs. Keibler and Gayda. But the best bet is either the women's triple threat or Jericho vs. Styles. What amused me is that it managed to end up with both the best match and the worst match of all-time on the card. -
Ranking Every WrestleMania Match
El Boricua replied to Bigelow34's topic in Publications and Podcasts
Meant to comment on this but got sidetracked with making my GWE ballot, Really enjoyed this series. Also, since I wanted to do something a bit more mindless to switch things up from the GWE process, i made the all-time Wrestlemania card as determined by the PTBN all-tie rankings list of these 300 matches. I followed the same rules as used in the PTB podcasts (only one match per card, wrestler can only be used once, must use the two singles world titles, the tag titles and I-C title). Basically, I went down the list in strict order from number one on down, adding a match to the all-time card as I went down the list. If i reached a match where a wrestler, year or title was already on the all-time card, I would pass on the next one. No judgement calls about whether to put a match or not on the all-time card, if the match was eligible and was the next in line it went on the card. The only two exceptions to this rule were: 1) if in the process of elimination a Wrestlemania only had one match left to be picked, that match would automatically be added to the card to represent that year's Wrestlemania; and 2) if only one match for one of the required titles was left during the process of elimination, it would automatically be added to the card as that title's representative. Both of these rules came in play at certain points. So, in chronological order, here is the all-time Wrestlemania card as dictated by the PTBN match rankings (the match's PTBN ranking is listed after each match): Wrestlemania - King Kong Bundy pinned SD Jones (250) Wrestlemania 2 - Jake Roberts pinned George Wells (265) Wrestlemania III - WWF World Champ Hulk Hogan pinned Andre the Giant (6) Wrestlemania IV - Greg Valentine pinned Ricky Steamboat (119) Wrestlemania V - Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard beat Tito Santana & Rick Martel when Anderson pinned Santana (75) Wrestlemania VI - Brutus Beefcake pinned Mr. Perfect (95) Wrestlemania VII - Ultimate Warrior pinned Randy Savage in a "retirement" match (2) Wrestlemania VII - Owen Hart pinned Skinner (189) Wrestlemania IX - Rick & Scott Steiner beat Headshrinkers Samu & Fatu when Scott pinned Samu (92) Wrestlemania X - Earthquake pinned Adam Bomb (280) Wrestlemania XI - Lawrence Taylor pinned Bam Bam Bigelow (79) Wrestlemania XII - Roddy Piper and Goldust battled in a "Hollywood backlot brawl." (130) Wrestlemania 13 - Bret Hart TKO Steve Austin in a "submission" match. Ken Shamrock was the guest referee (1) Wrestlemania XIV - WWF Light Heavyweight Champ Taka Michinoku pinned Aguila (153) Wrestlemania XV - WWF European Champ Shane McMahon pinned X-Pac (62) Wrestlemania 2000 - Big Bossman & Bull Buchanon beat D-Lo Brown & The Godfather (with Ice T) when Buchanon pinned Brown (259) Wrestlemania X-Seven - Edge & Christian beat Buh Buh Ray & D-Von Dudley and Matt & Jeff Hardy in a "tables, ladders, and chairs" match to win the WWF Tag Title (16) Wrestlemania X8 - Rob Van Dam pinned William Regal to win the WWF I-C Title (101) Wrestlemania XIX - Trish Stratus beat Victoria and Jazz in a "triple threat" match to win the WWE Women's Title when she pinned Victoria (172) Wrestlemania XX - Bill Goldberg pinned Brock Lesnar. Steve Austin was the special referee (167) Wrestlemania 21- Rey Mysterio pinned Eddie Guerrero (60) Wrestlemania 22 - The Boogeyman beat Booker T & Sharmell in a “handicap” match when he pinned Booker (289) Wrestlemania 23 - WWE U.S. Champ Chris Benoit pinned MVP (117) Wrestlemania XXIV - Floyd Mayweather pinned The Big Show in an "anything goes" match (45) Wrestlemania XXV - The Undertaker pinned Shawn Michaels (3) Wrestlemania XXVI - Michelle McCool, Layla, Vickie Guerrero, Maryse, & Alicia Fox beat Mickie James, Beth Phoenix, Gail Kim, Kelly Kelly, & Eve Torres when Guerrero pinned Kelly (292) Wrestlemania XXVII - Jerry Lawler beat Michael Cole via submission. Steve Austin was the referee. The mystery GM declared Cole the winner via DQ due to bias by the referee (300) Wrestlemania XXVIII - The Rock pinned John Cena (25) Wrestlemania 29 - World Champ Alberto Del Rio beat Jack Swagger via submission (175) Wrestlemania XXX - Daniel Bryan pinned Triple H (10) Wrestlemania 31 - Randy Orton pinned Seth Rollins (72) What match could you add for Wrestlemania 32? -
Just a heads up, Jack Brisco has not yet dropped.

Top 100 (Predictions, regrets, how many fallen soldiers do you have?, etc..)
El Boricua replied to Grimmas's topic in 2016
After tallying up who dropped this weekend, I'm at 54 from my ballot that made the final 100. Carlos Colon made quite the improvement, although at the moment I'm bummed since he came so close to getting in the final 100. -
So close... no Puerto Ricans then.
-
In that case, the sane man in the street will look at this and say what a bunch of weirdos we are. It's a good definition, but the first question that comes to mind is what street are you on or where is it. Because objective can change depending on that.
-
I'm looking at that picture of Waltman and have the urge to fantasy book an episode of Sidekicks.
-
I have him in my top 10. I would've been drawn and quartered in 2006 And had bleach poured over the cuts for good measure.
-
I think in some cases it's not so much having a say (which should be part of the reveal process), it's that the tone in some cases can come of as being harsher than intended/needed (and I think it doesn't help that it's sometimes hard to pick up nuance of tone in writing).
-
Not going to lie, once I saw he was still in the running I was rooting for Sting to make the top 100. That's still an impressive placement.
-
I'm not getting worked up over anyone's placement, just enjoying the ride that is the reveals. I am keeping track of how many wrestlers have dropped from my list as a pass the time thing while we march towards the top 100. It's irrelevant to me how many or few of the wrestlers from my list make the top 100, as long as I'm OK with the list I submitted.
-
The problem is that the voters most likely to give these styles/regions attention are the ones giving everything attention. In those cases, there's only so much room when you're considering everything. Those styles needed more niche voters to take part to represent them better, along the lines of the number of ballots that have 50 or more Japanese males or modern U.S. wrestlers on them.
-
After the latest set of reveals, I'm at 37 wrestlers from my list that have dropped. There's a good possibility I'll only have half of my list still around when we get to the top 100.
-
If HHH drops before 109 he will have finished below where he did in 2006 in terms of ranking, so it's not like the 2006 poll did any better with his placement in that regard. Brody actually finished below where he did in 2006 as well.
-
What I find amusing about all the Brody and Triple H talk about how high they're going to land is that in 2006 they both finished just outside of the top 100, so they can still rank a bit below where they did in 2006.
-
Chin up, that's not too bad. I'm at 29 at this point, so it's looking like one-third of my ballot may be gone when we hit the top 100. Wait, make that 30 with Mark Henry dropping.
-
This just makes the whole thing even greater for me.
-
Me too, after all, there was a 1412/3% chance of him getting a number one vote.
-
What I find hilarious is that Parv actually had Scott Steiner on his ballot.
-
It figures it would be the math genius that got the vote.
