  1. How many votes were there in modern U.S. by chance?
  2. Yes, it's for the North American title.
  3. Thanks! Embry is one of the guys I had thought of doing a write-up for and actually did some prep work for it when I was putting out the feud write-ups in this thread. If I can get some time in the coming weeks I'll see if i can do it.
  4. I love watching the cartelera videos too. And last week I came across a Aniversario 83 ad that someone had posted a few years ago: A few interesting things about it (if it hasn't been altered or photoshopped): The main event is billed as being for the Universal title (did not know it was already being called that at this point and the results posted online usually say the match was for the NWA World title). The Andre vs. Abdullah match was for the Caribbean title. The Invader vs Ox Baker match was a taped fist grudge match. Dutch Mantel was the originally scheduled opponent for Hercules Ayala. I like the thank you message they included with the card ad.

    ICW

I think the order is this: Flyin' Brian has until today to turn up and state if he's continuing. If not, first we see if anyone already participating wants to move to ICW (pretty sure this a no). If not, we see if there are any new writers that want to join and take ICW. If not, then we proceed with the merger, which would be Memphis absorbing ICW. As for the draft, as Boon mentioned, you are required to put up for draft at least enough wrestlers to cover one pick per promotion. It's up to you who you keep from ICW and if the wrestlers put into the draft include guys already on the Memphis roster you are dropping.
  6. I think there was an informal working agreement with LLI in the early 80's since the Mexican wrestlers that would come over for short stints or semi regular appearances all worked for LLI. Others that came over for notable stints were Scorpio, Mr. Tempest (have no clue who he is, may have been someone known under identity) and Tamba. If one could find results it might give a clearer picture of who came over. It might have been a case that not all of them were interested in appearing in Puerto Rico (although without results it is tough to gauge if any of them actually made a weekend shot appearance at some point) In the case of Aguayo, he was billed as the Junior heavyweight champion, so it's very likely his appearances would not be opposite Carlos Colon or invader 1. I know there's a picture of a card lineup from I think fall of 83 that features Aguayo vs. Gama Singh in the ad. I know Johnny Rivera worked in Mexico during this time, and Carlos made appearances. Apparently there was a match in 1982 in Mexico that featured Carlos and El Canek vs. Abdullah the Butcher and Perro Aguayo:
  7. Or if he went back to his home planet.
  8. Up next: JCP Southwest Stampede ICW IWF
  9. WWC selects Roberto Soto, aka Invader 2. Up next: Mid-South CWF JCP Southwest
  10. Still evaluating what I'm going to do with this pick, hope to have it made soon.
  11. Up next: WWA WWA WWC Mid-South CWF
  12. WWC takes Tony Colon.
  13. Up next: Stampede Memphis JCP CWF
  14. Seriously, don't worry about it. I take full responsibility for the misunderstanding, my fault for assuming. Just leave it as is.
  15. Thus the confusion of the entire deal. Again, let me know El what I can do to help figure this out. Consider the matter settled. Hope you use Adonis well. And you can keep the Andre dates, didn't want any more than the ones I already had.
  16. You may have missed a word between "don't him going" either want or mind... regardless, that is your choice. I would never turn down Valentine, but with the deal I am trying to say that I don't EXPECT those deals that you had with Parv to transfer, rather I am going to just honor the Andre deals. If you are willing to come with your back end of the deal I would gladly work with you on it. I was under the impression the deals were transferring as part of the Andre trade. Whatever, it is what it is at this point. My fault for assuming that the deals were staying in place despite no one indicating they weren't.
  17. Boricua, it seems, was under the assumpion that previous deals with Parv died, since the WWF died. The opposite, i thought the deals were active, which is why I wanted to cancel the pending dates on my end (none of which Parv had used) by converting my seven non-free Andre dates into free ones.
  18. I wasn't looking for more Andre dates, the seven i had were good enough for my plans. Since you mentioned seven free Andre dates and I had 7 that were not free, i decided it was chance to convert them to free. if I had known that any pending dates Parv had were going to be 'forgiven' I likely would not have made the trade for Andre dates.
  19. Wait, what? I did the draft pick trade in order to free up the dates that were owed on my end. You mean to tell me that I would have had the dates freed up anyway if i hadn't done that?
  20. WWC is trading its first round pick to Mid South.
  21. That could also be a possibility.
  22. Have you gone through some of the feud write-ups in this thread? I have done some for Hansen vs. Colon, Invader 3 vs. Chicky Starr and the Texas Hangmen's late 90-91 feud.
  23. Usually we've had goodhelmet set up a random order since he's Japan and would not have a stake in the draft.
  24. I had mentioned i was passing in the thread, although it looks like it wasn't updated.
  25. Yep. So many questions to be answered after that! Such as if Mil Mascaras will show up in Toronto to say that he is the real IWA champion.
