  2. Low Ki always seemed like someone trying way to hard to portray a tough guy to me.
  3. It's got WWE's blessing...and is a living topic. Those are 2 reasons for them to gloss over anything deemed too problematic.
  4. I always wondered what Ice Train did between leaving in 1997 and coming back ask M I Smooth in late 00/early 01.
  5. Did you really think it would go anywhere near his domestic abuse issues?
  6. I'm pretty sure they make their real money with their company stocks. They'll be fine lol
  7. BLOOD & GUTS will be on Dynamite! That's wild...I def thought they'd save that for PPV.
  8. I think it's kind of disingenuous to discount the importance of heels in the drawing equation. Would Hogan have been as transcendent a face in 84/85 without Piper as his foil? Would R&R and Road Warriors have been as beloved and as wildly cheered without the Midnights and Russians? Especially in the territory days, fans were draw to shows weekly to see heels get their comeuppance. Even main eventing JCP b towns, MX vs R&R was drawing significant numbers 7 days a week in 85/86.
  9. Wasn't Scott out as booker by May 89? Isn't the rough timeline that Cornette and the MX gave their notice sometime after Clash 6, but Scott was let go and they re-signed, but were given 6 weeks to do some Continental shots and get some r&r before coming back for the World Tag Team Tournament?
  10. January 1989, from what I recall.
  11. I'm pretty sure the MX did pretty great business semi main eventing A towns and main eventing B towns from 86-88.
  12. Flair and Luger in 88 was all during Dusty's run.
  13. Without jumping into micro specifics, I think George was behind the times in his thinking. The way he basically tanked the New Orleans Clash really sticks out. It wasn't 1976...or 1986. Cable was a reality and he wasn't able to balance TV and house show importance, which sabotaged any improvement to in ring work, in my opinion. Plus, he didn't see money in then Midnight Express, which is insane.
  14. @JerryvonKramer other than Flair/Steamboat and the return of Terry Funk, what are Scott's other successes during his 89 run, in your opinion?
  15. What was the last match shown on the last episode of Worldwide? Edit: looks like it was Mike Awesome beating Konnan
  16. This is waaaaaaay passed being a stoner. Unless this is what Vince thinks a stoner is lol
  17. Are they booking Riddle to be mentally dense as some form of punishment??
  18. Vince still does that today, with characters that were successful/over in his own company (NXT) but he feels the need to break them down and remake them in his preferred image of them.
  19. So who will be maintaining the WWE Network that the rest of the world has access to? WWE or Peacock?
  20. Angle/Brock at Mania 19?
  21. I think we're not giving enough love to JJ DILLION'S SHOE BEING USED AS A WEAPON IN 2021(!!!!!)
  22. Some of those camera shots were very Kevin Dunn-esque. Totally missed the spear on Jade that lead to a near fall. Shaq did a great job selling the bump.
  23. Heenan was an active and busy manager during Jesse's run doing color on SNMEs and PPVs, that also probably had to do with no Bobby on those shows.
  24. Maybe Jim should make less looney rants?
  25. The funny thing about Jim's bellyaching over Kenny Omega and his buddies is that in 83/84 there were probably more than a few curmudgeon old vets in the locker room who probably called Ricky Morton something akin to "Twinkletoes McFingerBang" lol
