Im glad they did the tribute it was great to see some japan Benoit matches. Pardon? You are glad they did a tribute to someone on the day they murdered their family, because you got to see some puro? I was a big fan of Benoit, still am. Im not going to change my opinion just because what we do or dont know just to please online fans.

If they had held off for a week or two they could had better response at the Georgia Dome. -

I think people want a hidden gem to be something new never seen before like a OVW dark match.

What was so wrong with his match on Raw with Booker? -
Don't get me started on those Turner video's they ruined so many shows on the UK releases cutting matches for no reason.

That sounds like a awesome idea. Would you stretch it to include WCW like the Simmons/Vader title change?

Id like to see the Snake Pit where Jake DDT's Hogan, ive seen a clip of their match from Providence but am hoping WWE has the footage but Im not sure as they mentioned it on the Jake DVD but didn't show it.

- Sorry, you are right, the Sunday afternoon thing was in summer of 95 (because I remember them airing some Goldust vignettes). Was it still Challenge at that point though? I thought they had switched to Action Zone (in addition to Superstars) at that point. - The last show on DSF before the hiatus was, I think, the Raw after Royal Rumble 98 (the Rumble itself was the first big-5 show for a long time not being aired on free TV). The return show was a one hour clipshow of Wrestlemania XIV plus the full version of Survivor Series 98. - What do you mean me about what I still have? Newsletters? Sorry, no, I never got any of them. If you are talking about old tapes, I suppose I have some VHS tapes with German WWF PPV (big 5 only) versions from 94 to 97, though not complete. The WCW stuff I always taped over. I have not the slightest clue in what condition these tapes are either. Regarding DF1 exclusive stuff: XWT seems to have three WCW Germany shows, so at least Alex Wright vs. Tom Gerhardt (fighting over a stolen exhaust pipe) and Axel Schulz counting a pinfall for a Scorpion Deathlock will live forever. I can vaguly remember a mate telling me they had old wwf on RTL in 1991 so when I tuned in I noticed Savage/Gang from SNME and several other matches from that show but they inserted a Bulldogs/Demo house show match. -

Thought id give Tough Enough a watch because I really enjoyed the first season and didnt realise they had exclusive footage on it. Bit of a odd moment where Hunter has a go at one of the guys for just having a Goldberg poster on the wall, spouted some crap about saying why be fan of a guy who been having 4 min matches ran threough everyone and said he walked when he wouldnt do a job calling it disrespectful towards Droz who got paralysed. I know fans have their favs but seriously running a trainee down just because his fav is Goldberg. You can't force people to pick their fav who you want it to be. Seemed a bit of a asshole thing to say, but I think it came across more of HIS TV character than the real Triple H. Its nice to recognise alot of stars when you see them now. -
That Steiners one would definitely be awesome to see. I'm a sucker for anything in Chicago. I missed that one and still regret it. I can't remember if it was wcw magazine or pwi that had pics of the cage match but the arena was well lit so guessing it could have been filmed.

Nope. -
Nice to see a pre Yoko match from tv tapings and cool that Simmons/Vader in full exists with commentary. Was it supposed to air in full? Probably unlikely the Steiners/Anderson & Eaton Cage Match was filmed.

Where would Triple H plans have gone in 2001 had he not gotten injured? I gather they would have builded towards a Austin/HHH match at Summerslam logically Hunter would take the belt as the Rumble the following year was all about his injury return and winning the belt so if Hunter doesnt get hurt whos likely winning the Rumble. Current wise is Daniel Bryan logically the fav to win the 2019 Rumble? Especially with the yes Movement returning. I know people will probably say Braun but cant see Lesnar holding it for another year but with Vince it wouldnt suprise me. -

For me the golden age was 1989 - 1992 but because 1989 was the year I got Sky and saw WWF regulary. I remember the odd WWF show on World of Sport but 89 was when I saw it properly so liked the Hogan/Savage feud and there was alot of colourful characters like Warrior, Jake, Beefcake, Koko, Hillbilly, Bushwhackers, Rooster. The pinacle for me was Hogan/Warrior at mania. -

Well the Beer truck was voted greatest ever Raw moment, but I get what you mean I mean Austin had loads of stuff like monster truck, Zamboni, Cement Truck etc. I just feel 5 mins is long enough for her to see if she likes it, a 20 min match could turn her off it and she probably wouldn't sit through it but I think a HIAC match might work. She loves fighting games like Tekken, SF & MK but TV/Films she prefers romance. -

Loves games like mortal kombat and stuff. Got 5 or so minutes to impress her with wrestling for the first time so need something good. I'm just guessing picking something with austin would be a good idea as he was super over with the crowd be it a part of a match or a angle. An angle would need too much context. 99 is a terrible time too, because it's trash and it will turn anyone off. Plus, you'd probably want something relatively current or what are they going to do, watch old tapes as a newcomer? Do something like Brock-Cena from Extreme Rules or something along those lines. Not sure why starting with current I mean it's just a one off to show what American wrestling is like. Just to introduce her to the wrestling world and cena/brock seems a terrible match but wanna show her the good stuff I'm sure a segment from a old show would work if u explain who the characters are. Loves games like mortal kombat and stuff. Got 5 or so minutes to impress her with wrestling for the first time so need something good. I'm just guessing picking something with austin would be a good idea as he was super over with the crowd be it a part of a match or a angle. If she loves over the top violence (like MK), maybe go with the Undertaker vs Mankind HIAC match. Can't believe how I forgot that match and seen it tons of times. -

I watched the KOTR match again, Jericho should be furious. It was a very good match, crowd was really hot for it. Their Unforgiven 01 match is damn good too. Excerpt from Jericho's book A Lion's Tale on his ECW match with RVD. My victory over the Jericho Curse in ECW was short-lived when the bastard used Mapquest and found me during my second ECW match in Queens, New York. It was hard to believe that the New York City fans could be more brutal than the Pennsylvania brethren, but they were. Paul booked me against RVD and wanted to use the match as our official TV debut. Rob and I had similar styles, similar size, and similar worldwide experience. He'd spent some time overseas and made a name for himself in Japan just as I had. But the match sucked worse than a toothless vampire. We were a step off on everything and there was no sign of the chemistry we'd had the night before. The fans turned on us, chanting "This match sucks," "Please go home," "End this match." Even the dreaded "You fucked up" chant reared its ugly head when I screwed up a simple arm drag. At the time neither of us realized how bad the match actually was. Paul claimed he couldn't air it on TV because the tape in the camera was defective. It only took me five years to figure out that the tape was fine. It was the match that was defective. I really enjoyed the kotr match and it was very good.

Do they like wrestling at all? If so, what kind? Base your intro to the US stuff around that. My female friend has never seen a single wrestling match or clip. -
Was Simmons supposed to beat Rude at Starrcade or drop the title before Rick got hurt?
