Why is Brandi getting to show up Britt? That builds up to nothing. J.R namedropped Inoki lol

This match is just showing me how much Jake Hager sucks.

These mat exchanges are such a refreshing break from the usual wrestling we see on Wednesday nights. The usual wrestling is great of course, but I like the world champ working this way. Very very old-school booking that way.

MJF is awesome, but this is kind of a bait and switch since they heavily implied we would get more than a pre-taped promo this week.

Being nervous on the mic aside, Nyla is great. Green, but great.

WTF is that beard on Janela's face
  11. MJF is back after his two tragic life-threatening injuries
  12. The two famous Bret-Austin matches are what I turn to usually.
  13. The guy who played Gunther on Friends said he received a lot of threatening phone calls cuz he was the reason Ross and Rachel broke up. Maybe they could explore the Feinstein scandal in a future season? Or is that too obscure?
  14. It's also possible that their social media team is simply not in sync with the other parts. I cannot imagine things are very organised right now.
  15. As good as MJ was, this documentary series is making me love Pippen more and more with each episode.
  16. I don't even understand why they would do this to Roman. This is beyond parody. Charlotte is like the skill of Ric Flair combined with the politicking of HHH. Like the deadliest combo ever.
  17. Waking up and going on Twitter on Raw mornings is always rewarding - This company wow lol
  18. Yeah I think she could fit great into the Gina Carano niche. She would need to have Ronda-level bad acting to screw that up.
  19. Roman is the one guy I would most like to see outside the WWE system. I remember, in 2015, when he had "taken Bryan's spot" and was cutting Looney Tunes promos and hatred against him was paramount, Meltzer wrote that at some press conference, he had seen Roman and Steve Austin cut impromptu promos on each other, and he said Roman went toe to toe with him and kept up with Austin all the way. I bet he would be able to cut a delightful heel promo in front of a rabid AEW fanbase, for instance.
  20. Becky is really charismatic and if I am not mistaken, she used to take acting lessons way back. I haven't seen her appearance in Billions, but she can definitely be a successful movie star Gina Carano style. Kevin Owens is also injured. I swear if this leads to them putting the title on Rollins so they can have Owens feud with him on his return, I will make 20 comments in a row just bitching about it. And bitching about Seth. Steph definitely helped cool off Becky but pairing her with her dork fiance also played a role.
  21. Yeah, Authority era-Steph was terrible. Becky recently revealed in an interview that Rock's agent now represents her and both Rock and Cena are giving her advice about movies. Given how Rock's contract situation was treated in 2005, no doubt he is telling her to get the fuck away from WWE and Steph/Hunter.
  22. Keeping this connected to the thread topic, I would say so, yeah. 2011 had Taker-HHH and HHH-Punk, which really were also two matches that shaped the course of modern wrestling imo. HHH-Punk because I think one of the reasons Punk lost was because that was a way to get him continued sympathy because he was still "being buried by the management" or whatever. The storyline absolutely did not make any sense to have HHH pin Punk, but traditional storytelling was no longer the priority by then.
  23. This is more of a booking decision than a match per se: as was touched upon elsewhere, Royal Rumbles 2014 and 2015, cuz they made WWE feel that the only way to get heat in the modern era is to make the promotion the heel and to book every face as an underdog fighting against the unfair system.
  24. Thanks for the answers guys. I can see the capacity argument in the modern era. It's interesting, because I would have thought they would have run at least one Yankee Stadium show - or even one stadium show in the NY area - during the Hogan era, when WWF was expanding its fanbase greatly but still considered New York its home territory.
