  1. Gunther deserves so much better
  2. In hindsight, Braun Strowman is Roman's biggest GWE case
  3. I think Gunther looked far better when he was bigger tbh. Like imagine if Stan Hansen lost weight for no reason
  4. This Bray Wyatt shit is horrendous
  5. Rock has lost all the coolness he had twenty years ago imo. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is whatever to me FINALLY a REAL star is here, thank Godnther
  6. WWE Films is still a thing, right. They need to make a Roman-Sami buddy cop film
  7. Watching for the 2nd greatest mainstream star in wrestling history (first is Batista) Sheamus has always been great, one of the greatest TV workers in history

Mox and Claudio v. Top Flight was fantastic. Claudio really is the best base in wrestling history

I totally get the rgument about Wardlow's booking being shit because it's true. I just don't care, cuz Joe has been excellent during this run of his. He obviously has limited time left, so I am good with watching him being awesome

TK really needs to learn how to say "No, actually, you can't do that on my show, it's stupid and terrible" to his wrestlers.

Watching a Dynamite replay, the Indian feed is supervised by a very trigger-happy person: they have bleeped words like "suck" and "jobber"(?!)

Joe has been cutting excellent promos as TNT and ROH TV Champ. I know the plan was clearly to crown Wardlow again by beating Joe in a singles match, and I was not a big fan of Joe winning the title, but he has completely won me over with his promos and that incredible Darby Allin match, to the point that I now think it would be a mistake to take the title off him. He has been a better TNT champ than Wardlow in 1/3rd the time, although a lot of it is due to how Wardlow was booked after winning the title. Let Joe carry the title until Starks defeats him for it, I say.

Excellent main event. Jamie Hayter is a bona fide star. Shida has been the MVP of AEW's women's division for years now

Ricky Starks is the man. Every time he has been put in a big spot and asked to step up and deliver, he has knocked it out of the park. Like all good brothers here, I am also dreading this upcoming feud with Chris Jericho. I pray that this does not last beyond Revolution, at least.

The Swerve segment was weird but I like Rick Ross. He seems to have natural charisma and might make for a great manager

Amazing how Danielson can cut a terrifying, scary promo raining hellfire on MJF, and then also do some light-hearted back and forth with Stokely Hathaway. He really is the GOAT

CM Punk posted a story with FTR, and also took an indirect dig at MJF while doing commentary for some MMA show recently, which makes me think (hope? wish?) that all sides have agreed to business and he might be returning sooner or later. TBH, if TK cannot get all of them to come on board and do business, then that's a big indictment of him as a promoter. Yes, the media scrum was bad, yes, the fight was ugly, but come on. This is pro wrestling. It doesn't crack the top 1000 of ugly things that have happened, wherein all parties ultimately decided to do business and make money.
  18. What a fucking game. So happy for Messi. Mbappe has one already, and he'll be back for more

FWIW, this is basically exactly how I feel too. Very happy to give justifications if our community warrants, deserves, and asks for that
  20. Thing is, she absolutely was treated like a top star by a lot of fans, but I don't think WWE ever treated her that way. Her reign was essentially a glorified transitional reign between Charlotte's reign and Bayley's big coronation. So as we can see, even at that point in time, she was treated like an excellent hand that could be used to put others over. Like a Daniel Bryan, except she clearly has a lot more personal ambition than Bryan, and justifiably so. It is funny and ironic though that Becky was treated like the least of the 4 Horsewomen - she was the only Takeover defence Sasha had during her NXT title reign - and she ended up surpassing them all.
  21. She is objectively not as good a ratings draw as Sasha, as evidenced by years of quarters of both Raw and Smackdown. Why both Vince and Hunter always preferred her to Sasha, only they would know. I am just happy that Becky got so undeniably over that they had to let her surpass Charlotte in the pecking order. Even then, they fought so hard to treat her as a heel when she first started on her hot run.
  22. The fact that it was reported by an outright WWE mouthpiece, combined with the fact that she has never seemed to have a problem doing jobs when asked. She spent most of her years in WWE putting others over and making them look good. Also the verbiage of the report was very over the top - lying on the locker room floor and crying - and both Bayley and Sasha indirectly addressed it in their interviews with Austin
  23. The MVP-Jericho confrontation, where Meltz essentially repeated verbatim what Jericho told him happened in his report of the incident is a good example. I also think a lot of "Punk was a cancer to AEW's locker room" reports came from him, even though many people, including some posters here, assumed they came from the Elite.
  24. If Sasha signs with AEW expect backstage "reports" about how Sasha is being difficult and ornery, how she is not liked in the locker room, etc. People immediately assume that the Elite spread such rumours, but Jericho has been talking to Meltz and the dirtsheets for 30+ years now, since before his debut. It sometimes amazes me that Meltzer often just takes him at his word and doesn't do the due diligence required to verify his account of events. Speaking of new signings, this episode was a LOT better paced and formatted than typical Dynamite episodes are, and that might have something to do with Kevin Dunn's long-time second-in-command, who has recently signed with AEW. Things were given time to breathe without the show feeling slow, the main event was hyped throughout and the world title match was treated as a big deal- which might be the reason why the last quarter was the first one in ages to gain viewers in the target demo - and every segment hit harder and there were not 5 run-ins and 6 backstage interruptions on the show, something that had become a meme in AEW. I REALLY hope this is a permanent development, because it made the show notably, tangibly better.
