  1. Plus they did tease Mox-Danielson, didn't they. Feels that's his next program
  2. I love Wardlow squashing jobbers
  3. Please don't do legwork in ladder matches
  4. Yet another no-dq match, wonder who bleeds more
  5. Yeah I am surprised at the production work being called "great" by any standards. It was quite rough. I know it's an indy promotion doing this for the first time, but it felt like a 3-hour version of the first Casino Battle Royale, with so many production flubs and mistakes. In one of the matches you could literally hear the producer say "Let's go home guys!"

Why are we assuming he is not re-signing with AEW? His contract expires soon, putting that out there helps him increase some leverage for the new deal, but is it known that there's no way he's coming back? It would be a damn shame if so because his stuff with Dante was really good.
  7. Wait, wasn't he childhood buds with Rock?
  8. That makes sense, and it's what AEW also initially thought, but AEW's Sunday PPVs have consistently done better than its Saturday's PPVs, regardless of what other PPV was happening that weekend. I'm really not sure why beyond wrestling fans being creatures of habit.
  9. There's a good argument to be made that Flair deliberately made sure Sting and Luger only wrestled one kind of match with him to ensure he was always needed in the main event to get matches like that out of them. This way the fans get an exciting match and the young stars are completely dependent on him as workers. Win-win for Flair.
  10. First to second quarter drop has definitely been big the last two weeks, but the show seems to sustain much of its audience until well into the 2nd hour, which is a good sign. Dynamite was the one wrestling show until very recently that used to buck the recent trend of each subsequent wrestling hour being less watched than the previous one, and would actually grow through two hours, but with TBBT as the lead-in now, the first hour will generally probably be bigger unless there's a massive marquee match in the 2nd hour.
  11. @Loss made a great point on Twitter about Sting's evolution as a worker, or the lack thereof, which I believe we have also talked about PWO albeit a long time ago.
  12. I added 'generally' to make sure I conveyed that it was a general opinion held amongst a bunch of posters here, not a unanimous consensus. I sure as fuck don't believe in the infamous PWO hivemind
  13. She can squash Adam Cole en route to beating Britt when they finally split up
  14. I'm guessing a boring nerd sport like golf has the most overall affluent audience and highest per capita ad rates
  15. Hangman-Mox was the natural program building before Mox took his hiatus, but I don't know how they get to it now. There's no way Mox is getting booed now, even though he got booed against Hangman as recently as that ladder match.
  16. This is complete speculation but I also think the Hangman-Danielson draw infused some momentum in the show's ratings. That match itself didn't do great but every week since then, the ratings have been great, which imo points to positive word of mouth from the hour draw working in AEW's favour. This coinciding with Punk-MJF picking steam and Jade Cargill clearly having some drawing power has given AEW some real stong momentum going into 2022.
  17. I think AEW fans care about stuff like Cole-Cassidy, power couples, Elite drama, and even Dan Lambert far more than we generally do here at PWO.
  18. Sleepwalking through goose-stepping
  19. Love the product overall but too many interferences and repetitive gimmicks. I love the entire RnR v. Heavenly Bodies feud so much though
  20. Yeah I caught this later. Good on Mox for calling him out. Heckler knew what he was doing, for him to say that to Mox after he comes back from alcohol rehab is just...all I will say is they probably did him a favour if they booted his ass, cuz I see no way the crowd lets him out in one piece. Good on Mox for still cutting his promo, that was the promo of this short year so far. Genuinely made me feel things.

Steve Austin is the reason why I am a wrestling fan, and one of the key reasons was because he would just walk briskly to the ring, jawing and trash-talking, and not waste any time. It would immediately give me an "Oh shit, business just picked up" feeling.
  22. They should really push Archer being from Texas more, really drive home the cowboy angle. It is the exact kind of thing that works only in pro wrestling. Maybe bring out Stan Hansen for a guest appearance, that is a guaranteed pop from this fanbase even if a lot of them have probably never actually seen a Hansen match in their life

Maybe he is injured?? He's on Twitter promoting a music video of his. I sure hope he isn't being punished for publicly confronting TK about the Swole situation, that would more than anything really put the final nail in the coffin on AEW being any different at all from all the wrestling promotions coming before it.
  24. Whatever matches he gets is through MJF. It's why in case he ever wins a title shot match, he immediately has to forfeit his number one contendership to MJF.
  25. Very good main event. Sting is absolutely a mad man. I can't believe they didn't show a replay of Darby's crazy dive until the end though, sloppy work there.
