  1. I do find it highly amusing how the promotion of apparently badass hardcore outlaws who dgaf about rules or people managed to get worked by one of wrestling's oldest conmen in Jeff Jarrett, and unlike Kevin Nash, not even a particularly good one. That stretch where every GCW homegrown lost their big PPV match, with their fans frantically justifying it by pretending that Jeff Jarrett is this massive star who obviously has to be put over, was certainly funny. I hope GCW does well and I hope there are more viable places for wrestlers to work, and there are a couple of wrestlers in GCW I do enjoy. Having said that, they kind of showed that day that they aren't ready to be the number three promotion of America. They need some work.
  2. Orange Cassidy wasn't the issue with the main event, he actually kept it from falling completely apart. This was entirely on Adam Cole imo. Just a weak weak match, surprise debuts aside
  3. There are multiple people who hate him and have expressed it on Twitter. I dislike his shtick myself, I have no time for it. However, he sells merch, probably didn't cost much, and can be easily used to fill segments on their TV shows, so I get why he is signed. It's the people who a) think this is the downfall of AEW - like how the Dark Order and Librarians were supposed to be - and b) are mad that Johny Gargano was not the one to debut who are amusing me to no end. Like is Gargano in 2022 really that much bigger of a signing than Hausen
  4. Apart from the main, excellent show, best Dynamite in a while. Show flowed much better for one.
  5. What the fuck man, seriously, that was the finish?
  6. This match is weak as fuck
  7. That's Danhausen huh
  8. I got zero of the sports references but the crowd clearly did, that was great.
  9. Hahahaha Britt is awesome indeed. What were they briefly chanting when she started talking?
  10. Don't care what anyone says, that entire segment was hot as fuck. Excited for this match.
  11. I might be getting worked, but I think MJF got to Punk a bit there
  12. Just saw an ad for a Dynamite on Saturday with Hindi commentary. Hopefully that's a good sign that they get a nice upgrade whenever their Indian deal is up next
  13. I want a Santana-Garcia singles program. Just a couple of perennially pissed New Yorkers
  14. Fuck yeah break the Inner Circle
  15. Plus they did tease Mox-Danielson, didn't they. Feels that's his next program
  16. I love Wardlow squashing jobbers
  17. Please don't do legwork in ladder matches
  18. Yet another no-dq match, wonder who bleeds more
  19. Yeah I am surprised at the production work being called "great" by any standards. It was quite rough. I know it's an indy promotion doing this for the first time, but it felt like a 3-hour version of the first Casino Battle Royale, with so many production flubs and mistakes. In one of the matches you could literally hear the producer say "Let's go home guys!"

Why are we assuming he is not re-signing with AEW? His contract expires soon, putting that out there helps him increase some leverage for the new deal, but is it known that there's no way he's coming back? It would be a damn shame if so because his stuff with Dante was really good.
  21. Wait, wasn't he childhood buds with Rock?
  22. That makes sense, and it's what AEW also initially thought, but AEW's Sunday PPVs have consistently done better than its Saturday's PPVs, regardless of what other PPV was happening that weekend. I'm really not sure why beyond wrestling fans being creatures of habit.
  23. There's a good argument to be made that Flair deliberately made sure Sting and Luger only wrestled one kind of match with him to ensure he was always needed in the main event to get matches like that out of them. This way the fans get an exciting match and the young stars are completely dependent on him as workers. Win-win for Flair.
  24. First to second quarter drop has definitely been big the last two weeks, but the show seems to sustain much of its audience until well into the 2nd hour, which is a good sign. Dynamite was the one wrestling show until very recently that used to buck the recent trend of each subsequent wrestling hour being less watched than the previous one, and would actually grow through two hours, but with TBBT as the lead-in now, the first hour will generally probably be bigger unless there's a massive marquee match in the 2nd hour.
  25. @Loss made a great point on Twitter about Sting's evolution as a worker, or the lack thereof, which I believe we have also talked about PWO albeit a long time ago.
