  1. I will not lie, I did pop for that Starrcade 1997 dig from Caster EDIT- Also for Schiavone dropping a Capital Combat reference
  2. Hey guys remember when Kaz was not a jobber but the Elite-hunter, and then he did a job to one of the Dork Brothers. I liked the Archer backstage promo though, and I love Hangman and I am an Archer fan, so I really liked the entire thing. You Americans didn't catch it, but during the break, Archer jawed off with a young girl in the front row, leading the fans to chant "Piece of shit" at him. He immediately looked at the fans and inquiringly pointed at the little girl, which got a massive pop out of me. He continued jawing with the little girl after going to the ring too, which is why the fans also briefly chanted "piece of shit" at him just after the break. God WHY is Every. Single. Women's. Backstage. Segment. the EXACT SAME. It's beyond parody at this point
  3. I just caught up to this segment and this is exactly what I thought too haha
  4. Oh lord spare me this "BPJ has a crisis of confidence" horseshit. Murder this dweeb someone EDIT - Thanks King
  5. Wardlow and MJF are not like HHH and Batista though, that was a very different dynamic. Wardlow in kayfabe is signed only to MJF, he doesn't have an AEW contract. It's more an updated long-drawn version of Shawn-Diesel than anything. That Jade-Anna backstage segment was STRAIGHT out of a modern WWE TV show and it's tired backstage template, stilted contrived "dialogue" included. What's happened to this show in this hour?!
  6. Okay this show took a massive nosedive with this Cody promo. What the fuck is he rambling about
  7. Haha that Punk-Spears-MJF thing was perfect Why are the two fellow less-famous tag team member dads talking in such a passive-aggressive manner
  8. Lol why are we so concerned about the self-proclaimed new Hardcore Legend going through a table. Everyone goes through a table on Dynamite. And of course another no-dq match. It's like TK saw the WWE comment in that newspaper article and delightfully doubled down. Hey nice they finally seem to be breaking the Inner Circle?!?! You are right Santana, Jericho has been holding you back!
  9. I like Britt but I don't care one bit about this power couple. Otoh, I actually care quite a bit about Cassidy-Statlander, I think both of them have a natural charisma, sloppy apron flips aside (just do power moves Kris, that's your strength and appeal!) and they do have some on-screen chemistry.
  10. OC looks positively ripped next to Adam Cole lmao
  11. Jesus fuck what a fucking promo jesus. I need a break after that fuck
  12. LMAO first minute back and he uses fuck?!?! That fan must have said something really shitty
  13. Had a late night emergency at work - love law firms! - catching up on the show now. Nice pop for Mox
  14. Did Arn do the mixed tag at WM involving Cena and Nikki, or had he left by then? That was a smartly laid out match.
  15. Hopefully Dr. Baker can get Adam Cole to work snug
  16. Dunno about MVP and his religious beliefs, but I have quite a few Muslim friends who don't touch alcohol but do smoke weed. From what I understand, unlike alcohol, smoking and weed are not haraam.
  17. I think you explained it before, but I would be interested in hearing why Danielson doesn't feel out of place when you compare him to Flair - whom I know you've had as your #1 in the past - but he does when you compare him to the All Japan Kings. Is it purely because Danielson has displayed more mat wrestling than Flair in the later part of his career? It's so hard to compare wrestlers across different contexts and eras, but that's like half the fun of it too.
  18. Okay did someone who is both a massive Austin fan AND a massive Alexa fan cook this up
  19. Didn't his hometown fans chant "Don't come back" when he tried out for ROH
  20. Always fascinates me just how massive a box office draw Steve Austin is, 20 years after his run. He's barely been on TV for years too. He always pops a rating too, even when everyone knows he is going to come and do absolutely nothing but say 3:16 and whoopas and What a bunch of times. At this point I am willing to consider him the biggest, most enduring box office draw in WWE history, even more so than Hogan.
  21. Fans chanted for Eddie, so hopefully Jericho doesn't try and work as babyface in their inevitable feud. Weird episode. Every match felt like a setup for something else, and Archer is clearly evoking mixed emotions. There was some great stuff throughout though
  22. I would honestly put the title on Garcia right now, it's an interim, it doesn't matter, and boy is he WORKING tonight
  23. Hey here's Danny Garcia to placate you
  24. This is a weird episode where every match feels like a setup or an angle. It's like you see these matches booked, go why on Earth, and after the match is over you realize "Ah, that's why"
