The pre-match with the crowd felt like it took forever. Structure felt off to me, too - it built from a standard tag match into a brawl, but then calmed down before the finish, as opposed to really escalating. **1/2

I'm a huge Savage mark for sure, but I thought he was great here. A bit of a prelude to the way he'd work with a guy like Hogan, although with a bit less bumping. I liked the twist on the chain finish, too. ***

I like them holding Brody down to get chain on at the start. Fun brawl, but it's a screwy chain match finish. Still, I enjoyed it. ***

Slowish brawl, but solid and fun. I get the double contour finish, but it still felt like it knocked something off for me. **

Really did not find much in this. Lots of chin locks. Shit DQ finish. Worst match on Disc 1. *1/2

I thought Apollo had some good fire. Steinborn was solid. **1/4

This was a really fun brawl. The brawling by the fence in particular was great. I also really liked the finish, even if it was a bit messy. ***3/4 This and Flair match has me really into seeing Colon against stronger workers - he really meshes well with them. I think Colon is known for being this bleeding brawler, but he seems to have another gear when he's in with the right guys.

Eh, this felt like a WWF TV taping tag match from the time period. Felt too compressed to really rise above being okay. **

I loved this too, but I'm with those who found some of the selling a little off, and that kept the match from hitting big heights for me. Still, the atmosphere was amazing and the energy was terrific. This was my favorite match on Disc 1, and only a couple of things were even in range of it. ****1/4

Classic Flair studio match. Good pace, fun work from both. ***

I can't find the original thread for this match and I didn't have any mind blowing to say about it, so I'll just note that I had it at **1/2.

Is anyone actually excited for three Cell matches in an era where (for good reasons, to be fair) they can't really amp up the violence level? They've already done a dumb Cell bump this year... what else could possibly be interesting about these?

I haven't seen the match yet, but is ***1/2 a really low rating for Miz-Ziggler?

I would be pretty interested in having the ROH archives (and the TNA archives a bit, if only to dig back into Styles' work).

I think generally speaking, it's harder to take a heel seriously who walks alone. That's what heels do -- they outnumber people. Having a second or a loose alliance with another wrestler gives cred. Manager distractions are also one of the only ways a heel is allowed to properly cheat nowadays, too. Add that to the fact that they are open that he and Maryse are married (easy heat to have the hated guy be the one with the beautiful wife), and she really rounds out his act.

They already did '95 with Sandman (which was, of course, kinda meh).

The New York Islanders fans do the YES chant after goals, I believe even now.
